Wow this episode really had me tearing up throughout the entire time. Such a great reminder to choose joy. Thank you for sharing grandma’s wisdom and your own!
My mom passed 3 years ago and because God is sovereign like John said the sting of death has lessened dramatically. She was much like your mom and grandmother. She was diagnosed with a rare disease. She became blind and the years were so tough. But she always displayed joy. Her funeral was so packed that ppl had to stand. The running theme was her joy, light , steadfastness and perseverance. ❤ You all seem like mentors to be, kinda like my family. I glean so much from all of you. I appreciate every single episode. (Even though I'm learning of this channel late😅)
Your godly family is an awe inspiring testimonial of what l desire for my family. I am a mom/ grandma/greatgrandma that has lived for Jesus Christ my whole life in front of my family, and my heartfelt desire and prayer is for them to speak of me the way you all speak of Grandma Bevere! God bless you all, l love your family and listen to your teachings and enjoy your podcasts. Thank you for declaring the truth of the Word of God without compromise! THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH!!! ❤
Thank you for sharing this truth about your beloved mother/grandmother. 💕 My mother left for heaven in October, she was 75. I share your experience of joy in remembrance of her & the longing for her presence. Holy Spirit asked me if I wanted to see her (in Heaven), I was hesitant but said, if you want me to see her, then yes. He showed me her face, Radiant in God’s Love, as His bride. I was completely overwhelmed by His Love gift for my heart. He is who He says He is, He is LOVE. 🥰
Thank you so much for shearing! I’ll take the fighting spirit against condemnation and choose joy, just us grandma did. It’s always so giving to listen/watch your family talk about real life with all its laughter and adventures. Bless you guys ❤️
Love love love this episode. I was somehow led to watch this episode when i looked through the channel and I have been so touched by what was shared. Thank you John for sharing how you fight against the devil's works of condemnation and shame, bringing us new perspectives of what's fighting a good fight is. Thank you to the entire family for sharing Grandma Bevere's precious moments, lessons and legacy. Faith is definitely active and I'm grateful to learn more about choosing joy and love, seeing everything as a gift and adventure no matter what. Thank you Grandma Bevere, thank you all. We love you!
I just cried n cried n cried over this! So beautiful to hear the younger of this family to appreciate the old loved ones. 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ God help me to see it as you Beveres do! U r blessed ppl!! 🫂 Love n prayers from Hungary
Thank you for this message! I came to this podcast because of Lisa's post about grief, but the intro was what I REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR!! Grief is hard. I've just lost my Grandma, who was such an amazing woman of God. Miss her so much, but so thankful she is with Jesus, her kids and my Grandpa. ❤
The part when Julie said if we take on shame then we will also attribute wins to ourself was good. I listened to the podcast last week and that part specifically keeps coming back to me. Love you all ❤
I love that you shared your vision of your mom... I got to see a glimpse of my great-aunt right after she died, and I saw the same kind of thing. She was so young, smiling so happily, with beautiful long dark hair... I had never seen her that way and it was so comforting. Thank you all for talking about this subject, I always feel fired up after listening to this podcast!! 💗💗💗💗💗 LB!!!!
I am truly in awe of how your Grandma lived! I love the life mission she lived by “What good comes is a gift and a blessing. What bad comes is an adventure!” May we all, who hear this, embrace the adventure a little bit more and share this godly truth to our loved ones! Thank you for showing us what a godly elderly woman is like, we have not all had those sweet Grandmas, so God is going to inspire the lives of a new generation to grow old in God’s love! This blessed my heart, I had to listen to it twice!
God bless grandma. This episode made me so pensive. My dad is in his 60s, he is the first born believer in our family and through him the gospel was shared and to our family members however he is very difficult, he’s a great hearted person but he can be very stubborn and never wants to recognize when he is in the wrong lest apologize when he has offended. It can be a toxic relationship depending on the situation which push me to distance myself from him. How can I navigate and conduct myself in the relationship without pushing him away? I want to be able to enjoy my dad for the rest of his days but he makes it really hard.
I am so encouraged to hear all your share. Thank you for your good and hard times, hard work and commitment in this. This also encourages me as a mum of young children, my spouse and my christian walk. I have not listened to something so fresh, insightful and clear so I can understand. I'm just so very grateful. Praise be to God for the good work in all this and through your lives. (Messaging from a town called Hatfield in England) 🙏🌺
This brought me to tears of praise. The power of her testimony and the eternal treasures of a life lived unto His glory. So well done to you all. It’s a gift that you made space to lean into the beauty and rawness of grief, legacy, and cherishing each other in life. Thank you. And the opening was so good and convicting! 💛💐🙌🏻☺️
Those are such beautiful memories you shared!! Thank you for sharing and she sounds like such a wonderful soul. May you all continue to experience God's peace and joy throughout, no matter the circumstances. Thank you!!
I am so appreciative of this video as death and grief are a struggle for me. Very very similar story with Pastor John's mom and my own grandmother who passed last year easter. She was humble, faithful, she loved deeply and kept moving despite the losses she faced in her own life. Thanks again for recognizing that we were not created to die but to live and that we will see our loved ones in Christ again soon in eternity. God bless yall and this channel.
This could not be more timely to be listening to this as I pack for a flight to Germany to go to my Grandmother’s funeral. Fortunately I too can be grateful for her legacy as she was a great example to me and the rest of my family. Thank you for sharing this episode as it’s not always easy being open about losing those closest to you.

And they have made a huge impact in my life:) And I’ve learned so much from them :) and those family members of mine are now in Heaven :) And they loved Jesus so so much when they were here on this earth:) And I know that I will see them again in Heaven someday:) and they have taught me that family is so extremely extremely important:) And that every day is a gift 🎁 and an adventure:) And they also wanted me to smile. And laugh . And now that I have my braces off I can do that :) And my family members that are in Heaven they had their Godly passionate convictions. Punctured with such incredible joy. WOW!!!
