One of my HT accessories (I think it was a discreet earpiece /mic) came with a similar clip to the one that comes with the earlier Yaesu speaker mic. I'll see if I can find it later. Good tip on using small zip ties to secure the mic cable to the belt clip, thanks for that! I must admit that I rarely use my FT-60 body worn, as I find the squelch control easily gets knocked which is a nuisance...i generally use my FT-65 or FT-70 in that way, with the -60 being kept for SOTA and the like, with the HT in front of me so I'm likely to be more aware of any inadvertent transmissions.
I am surprised that no enterprising ham operator with a 3d printers has no made that extra ring that the original MH-34 came with. I also find it odd that Yaseu is still selling the FT-60 new 20 some years after it was released in 2004.
Could you do me a favor and measure the radios thickness near the top where the knobs are? I think YAESU says 30mm which should be about 1/1/16-1/1/8” please don’t include the belt clip thank you,
Good to see you again Sir. Happy and blessed New Year.
