When I was in my early twenties (40+years ago) my husband's grandmother gave me my first cutting off her huge angelwing Begonia. It pretty much started my love for all houseplants. It amazes me now to see the huge variety of species that are out there now.

I just recently subscribed to your channel. Your knowledge and expertise are impressive and your delivery is superb. I consider myself to be a semi expert gardener having won a PBS-Tv national gardening contest a few decades ago and having a very large organic vegetable garden and greenhouse. I am jealous though if all the greenery in your living space. My wife doesn’t allow a lot of indoor plants. I have learned a lot from your videos. I guess you can teach a. Old dog new tricks. Keep up the excellent work

When I lived in Syracuse, I absolutely loved Found Things. A little pricey in some of the plants, but they have SUCH an amazing selection. When they moved to this new location, the variety of plants they had sky rocketed. The owner is also incredibly nice and was always lovely to talk to!

I just started watching Homestead Brooklyn & Flock January 1st. You are sooo inspiring!! I went today & bought 6 house plants according to your beginner plants video & I also ordered your book, which I can’t wait to start reading 😁 🪴 I did have one house plant before I bought these. It’s an African Violet & after watching one of your videos, I replanted it. It was in a much too large pot. Your awesome!! Thank you for what you do 🪴🪴

Some interesting begonias. I’m slowly developing a begonia collecting because when they are not dying of sudden fungal wilt or something like that, they do really well with the natural light levels in my house.

I'm on my second alocasia polly. No spider mites this time. And she put out 7 leaves. I have her close to a grow light. That seems to be the biggest contributer to her success. I only water her about once a week with no humidifier but she has plenty of neighbors. I was watering her with distilled water but that's getting hard to come by these days. Hopefully, she makes it another few years.

Couldn't agree more on the oxalis. I've always said that if I would be allowed only one plant, I'd go for the oxalis anytime. Well, that's coming from someone whose only solid green-colored plant is the zz. Ooops, a peperomia obtusifolia also. And rain lily. Ohhh, jade pothos as well. Peace lily and Ming aralia, too. 😂 The rest is a collection of different-colored ones.

I love your gift, i have little interest in house plants but the way you talk about them makes me interested. It makes me realize the infinite possibilities when it comes to the library of plants. Work is fun, ive become the inventory keeper for the entire construction site. Everybody knows my name, 6 times now the boss has reminded me im top dog. Id say hes playing to my ego, joke, good leaders go first. 400 kg fell on me today panels from the lame guy that i was with, beast mode, didn't realize i was still that strong. Dangerous job, i love it.

Great shop. A few more prices would be nice to hear. You has one reaction to $400, but generally no information so perhaps you just wanted to keep the retail out of it. It helps me know if I'm paying too much if I know the market better. Thanks for traveling and bringing the wider world of plants to us.

Also, Begonia Maculata's plants (time stamp: 2:06) don't have canes? Roses have stems, canes, rose buds, etc. Smile.

Have your sins been forgiven today and forever? Think about this. The God of the bible, the One True God made us to worship him, obey him, and enjoy him forever. We break His laws daily by not putting Him first, not thanking Him like we should, we lie, we lust, we have sex before marriage, we dishonor our parents, we covet things other people have, we take God's name and use it in vain, we use it in a low manner, sometimes as a cuss word, (God is holy and even His name is holy), we don't love like we should, etc. In doing so we're saying He's not a good provider, He's a liar, He's untrustworthy, He's not worthy of praise. All these things and more are counted against us. The bible says God is the just judge of the world and one day He will settle the score for all the wrong we've done. God is holy meaning He is righteous (morally perfect in thought, word, and deed) It also means He is set apart and higher than us. God being good, must punish all sin or wrong doing in the world. This means that if you sin one time God will cast you in hell for eternity. Because He is good and He doesn't turn a blind eye to sin. But there is good news. 2000 years ago Jesus the Son of God came into this world and lived a perfect life ( He never sinned once) and He died on the cross taking the wrath that we deserve and paid the penalty for the sins we committed. The bible says that if you will repent (confess and forsake your sins) and trust in what Christ did on the cross (He took the wrath of God that was meant for you and I) then all your sins will be forgiven and when you die you will be in heaven with God and all who believe for eternity. Jesus died and on the third day He rose from the grave. Get right with God today don't wait. Once you die after that comes the judgement. Hebrews 9:27 It's the most important thing you can do. You must be born again John 3:7 If you repent and trust in what Christ did on the cross it shows that you've been born again or born spiritually. Right now you're dead in your sins and you can't see the beauty of Jesus Christ but after you trust in Christ all the things you hate about God like obeying him, serving Him, loving Him and others, reading the bible, praying and going to church you will love to do those things because God changes your heart. That's how you know you have been born again and forgiven. Please think long about this and ask me any questions you have as this is the most important thing you can ever think of in your life. An eternity in hell (darkness and a lake of fire the bible describes it, with weeping and gnashing of teeth) or an eternity out of that place and into the loving arms of God who is infinitely glorious, has infinite knowledge and has infinite power to do all that He pleases. You decide. Have a great day!
