What about them Did you want a 3 hour opus or a short video Can’t fit every single make that would be idiotic to even try There are many more than you can possibly imagine As I’m currently in the us part two doesn’t seem likely now does it 😂
Very informative, as always. There is an aspect of Harley's history that is likely not well known now; the Japanese makers started coming out with cruisers at prices that HD just could not match, cutting massively into HD's market share. In order to keep Harley from going under, the US Congress enacted tariffs on ALL imported bikes of more than 700cc displacement, bringing their prices up more in line with Harleys. An unintended consequence of this was the creation of the 600cc class, which didn't really exist previously, the usual progression being from 500 to 750.
The start of your Honda piece was like a walk down memory lane for me, I was on the back of a CB175 when my we took a corner to fast on a wet November night and lost the back wheel, you really find out who your mates are when your picking lumps of loose chippings out of your arse cheeks, I was on a borrowed CB200 when I lost it on a wet roundabout, fortunately both myself and the bike were ok and I had a CB250 K4 with exact same paint job as the 350 that was next to the CB200. Ahh, the joys of my misspent youth.
I always find it very interesting when people tell me how bad the first Honda V4s were. I've got an 82 VF750 Magna and I've never had any problems with the motor in fact, because of the age and wear and tear on electricals and rubber fitting, the motor ,shaft and gearbox are about the only things that haven't given me any problems.
Harley-Davidson: 880cc and 7 hp in 1907 ... 1700cc and an incredible 10 hp in 2024! Reaching new heights in turning petrol into noise and money into poor taste and worse handling!
Digging this series.😊
@@danielgriffis9759 thank you - glad you like them
Ummm, what about Hodaka!?! Hodaka, Horex, Hoth. Maybe time for the letter H part 2?

The British government of the early 80s unfortunately would not have done the same for Triumph
Ah,Honda! Started my two wheeled career on a weary C50 and ended it with a lovely black NT650 Bros, truly,a pair of book-ends! 😊
The humble Cub
The start of many a bike experience
Certainly won’t be ending mine anytime soon
Yeah,Dulux blue and white and a three glow-worm power headlight, very humble! I did say my biking career was over...but never say never! 😊
Interesting and informative video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Are you done with the letter 'H'? I think you forgot Horex.
Yep. Horex AND Hosk. Both contributors to Yamaha developing their 650 parallel twin engine.
we may have to do another A-Z!!

The magna does seem to survive rather better than the F
No denying the problems however
Especially the 1000
knucklehead replaced by panhead not the shovel
Dam those Americans 😂
