Jim mentioned plateaus and valleys in business. I want to point out how AEW is a good example of not understanding how to use this information as a business.
Hardcore wrestling: Hardcore got to the point that it was too hardcore, going too far. So WWE pulled it in a smart move. They had already got all the gains from it they could without someone dying.
Wrestling was getting too exciting and couldn't continue to grow, as jim states.
WWE put hardcore in their back pocket. At any time when business gets too bad, they can pull it out, start from the slightly hardcore, and build it up again. Rinse and repeat.
AEW uses all their back pocket tricks on every show. They have no tricks pocketed for when business is down. It's bad planning.
The Water Tower the Girls from "Petticoat Junction" bathed in was used to fill the Steam Locomotive's Boiler. It was not used for drinking except by maybe the lonely engineer! lol

I really feel jim on the Daniel Boone. I'm having a similar thing with Little House on the prairie. It's all on peacock plus they have a roku TV live channel for it. I've been watching little house for days. Last night was the episode where Mr. Edward's can't get laid because he doesn't believe in God and no one in walnut Grove will bang an Atheist. What a weird show

Everyone loves WWE, you know who your going to see every week and you know whats going to happen . They tell you who to support and in the UK you can sit down with your kids on a Sunday morning and watch the same old entertainers beat each other up on your tv and do something else during the talking and advertising instead of going to church .😅

Since Logan Paul is still willing to take fights the best thing a legitimate sports league could do is book him against a fighter with a high chance of destroying him, piggybacking on, among other things, whatever buzz he is getting from WWE, while depriving WWE of a star. He's not that good, he lost to a welterweight boxer, but he thinks he's that good and will take a fight to prove it. Put him in the ring with a Cotto, or better yet the octagon so they can keep hitting him after he falls down!

The WWE universe is supposed be easy to follow entertainment to be repetitive and simplified to appeal to the masses . Its a successful business model . JIM described it or quoted more harshly perhaps when reviewing Smackdown recently, as "Repetition is the key when dealing with goofs"
The less they can put out in terms of roster and storyline and still make the same revenue the better for them .
Jim said Smackdown had one third wrestling and two thirds talking and advertising.
This isnt a rake on WWE ,they have a successful business model but the WWE universe model demands fans support whatever they put out and the haters take that as needing to rake the independent companies to show obedience to the WWE machine. 😢😢😢😢 Sooner or later the whole thing combusts from inside out .

Meltzer says its time in the ring vs how much money your paid and states WWE fans are proven now to have lower expectations and will accept a cut down roster with simple storyline. As Jim quotes" Repetition is the key when dealing with goofs" He said this after a review of Smackdown, which he states had patchy short wrestling matches in between the monologues and advertising.

Is it the haters feeling that they have to bury anything that presents wrestling differently from WWE as an act of obedience/loyalty to the Fed or is it that the Fed has spent decades conditioning their hardcore base as to what wrestling is supposed to be so the haters hate because what they're seeing elsewhere isn't the WWE style?
