    Has covid negatively affected this place? I hope not because I really want to go next year! They're still open right?

    This is heaven and so lively. For some reason I find 8/16 bit graphics seem to take me into a whole new world those neon lights eminating from displays..so relaxing . Over the top those ambient Iighting seems to be tuned to perfection. And those cute nostalgic noises ..man this is the most relaxing place in the world

      Yes, you may use it, as long as it’s distributed publicly and not a paid/private release.

    "graphic and violent"

    I spent some time on that Marble Madness machine when I was there. One of my favs, and only time i got to play it with the roller ball, and not a Dpad.

    Looks like fun, I’d love to see it in person some day. So much history. I have a question though..In all of the Funspot tour videos in the years following the KoK movie, it seems that the customer foot traffic is non-existent. There isn’t any staff walking around or manning the concessions. The bowling alley seems to have some occasional activity. At the end of the video you said ‘it’s still going strong’ and to me it looks like it’s a lot of space that’s practically abandoned and someone forgot to shut off the electricity. Is Funspot ever busy? How do they stay in business? Just the time of day? Is the staff picky about having people film inside?

    • @owlnonymous
      @owlnonymous  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would def' recommend visiting one day. As for how busy it was, it's very seasonal. This is currently the slowest time of the year. It gets a lot busier in summer. I haven't ever been called out for filming, but usually I am just doing short walkthroughs. I would clear a longer session with them in advance.

      Id like to say i went yesterday after a snow storm from the day prior, and it was insane. Parking lot was full all day and i was constantly having little kids walk into me. Probably has slow days along the year but they Definitely made 10's of thousands of dollar yesterday before 6

    Hi, I was thinking of going there and taking video too. Were there any signs saying no filming or did anyone give you a hard time for filming? Thanks.

    • @owlnonymous
      @owlnonymous  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No signs and I walked by staff with my camera. I don't think it's an issue. I think as long as the focus is the games, that you will be fine.

    Why are 4 of the 5 laser disc games not working?

    • @jimbotron70
      @jimbotron70 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely because the delicate laserdics optoelectronics or the discs themselves got damaged. There's a replacement hardware emulator available using laserdisc file dumps and no moving parts, search Dexter Laserdisc replacement.
