  • How This MIDI Pedal Saved my Live Rig! (Morningstar MC6 Pro)
Today I'm going to show you just how the Morningstar MC6 Pro saved my live rig, and allowed me to execute a live show that I'm proud of! This MIDI controller is an absolutely beast, with so many different IO options, a ridiculous amount of commands that it can send, and incredibly in-depth but easy to use editing software, I can't believe I overlooked it for so long!
    DISCLOSURE:
While I did originally buy this pedal with my own money, Morningstar has offered to reimburse me for my purchase.

I love this pedal. I use it to change my keyboard patches, guitar patches, bandmates patches, the PA effects, and the lights. MIDI rocks! Haha

Thank you for the post Mr. Free Beat you are always so generous with your time. Very interesting application of the gear. E

The MC3 (the smallest of that product family) helped me a whole lot when I realized that my keyboard controller couldn't issue program or bank changes properly to another piece of gear. Great hardware and software.

Yeah the MC3 looks excellent as well! I'm actually considering one for running a bunch of utility duties in my studio. Thanks for watching :)

What a beast of a machine! But I get a bit anxious thinking of all things that could go wrong with such an advanced gear!XD

Luckily the UI is fairly simple! If something goes wrong, it's super easy to go and find the issue.

I was inspired by this video! How do you implement the "reset scroll" action?

What happened to the Sheeran looper?

You're a few live rig videos behind :D lol. Basically while the Sheeran Looper X hardware is incredibly, software wise it's sorely lacking. It's missing some pretty basic workflow options, as well as being really inconsistent with glitching when overdubbing. The Boss also has 6 tracks (Sheeran X has 4) and has an insane level of customization!

I didn't even know this type of pedal exist, it looks cool! I see there are other models that may suit better my budget. 😅 Thanks for sharing!

Yeah they have some less expensive versions that are still SUPER powerful! The MC3 can do up to 16 commands at once/sequentially, that's still a ton lol.
