    Great video. I have just received the air pump but it didn't come with a part to attach a hose. Could you tell me what part you orderd or where I could track one down. A parts list for the whole build would be great.

    Is the fitting in the pump casting 1/4 NPT Female if the hose barb is removed? Seems most people are keeping the short section of hose and putting a barb into that. (Edit: No it is not 1/4 NPT, it is smaller.)

    Hi. Great videos! I have a question, when the pressure in the tank reaches the maximum around 18 psi and the pop-off valve isn't activated, will this damage the pump if it stays on?

      I haven't had an issue with this yet, my typical run time without drawing air is only 3 to 5 minutes at the most. I try to conserve my battery as much as possible. The diaphragm could possibly be damaged if left running for long durations.

    Thanks for the video. built my own with your information the only issue I'm having is its a little hard to draw the air in. Not sure if its the regulator or the fact I have 100' line. Any suggestions. Thanks again.

      On the side of the pump by the front cover there is a rubber plug that is the intake on the pump. it's about a 1/4 inch in diameter, and will restrict your air flow. If you installed a air filter as well it will also restrict the flow. The 100 feet of air hose helps with the air volume and helps with the pump pulsating. Hope this helps.

      @@karenwalterbrinston3144 I was just reading your question. I could not build this unit on my own without asking questions. I am not a pro by any means. I am about to attempt to build one myself by watching video's like yourself. Before I use it I'm going to get it inspected by a pro and have the air quality tested. However I was going to tell you something I saw on another video. Then I clicked on reply and saw Sailing Boreas's answer. His answer is exactly what I was going to tell you I heard. And the guy I heard it from is sharp!! Very smart guy. I'll be happy to give you the name of the TH-cam video if you like. While I'm here let me ask you. Was you successful in building yours? Sounds like you were and are just working the bugs out. Great job!! Would love to communicate with you Friend. robjtko@yahoo.com my personal email if you wanted to hit me up. Thanks Buddy and best of luck!!!

    Have you ever been able to get the blow-off-valve to trigger from pressure generated by the pump? I find that these pumps (at least the one that I have worked with, which is the same as your ACQ12) will not build up any real pressure.

      No the pop off is just a safety I've never had it set off the the valve.

      @@sailingboreas1062 Well that makes sense. 28 feet of head"(the depth you were able to go down to) is about 12.1psi. This means that your pump is maxing out just over 12psi. What was the manufacturer spec on this? Does 12psi sound about right?

    • @oceanusbrass8502
      @oceanusbrass8502 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Factor Specs" on the AcQ-012 -- DC 12V // Power: 120W // Pressure: 0.12MPa // Output: 160L/min. Bringing this into context, 0.12MPa is 17.4 Psi. That blow off valve will never trigger on this setup, but i respect that you used it. What PSI have you gotten your pump to after you cleaned it?

      @@oceanusbrass8502 I use the pop off primarily to help remove any condensation from the tanks
