Having issues and I successfully unlocked the hidden menu. Oil temp on normal drive peaks around 115c, however the coolant temperature is at -128 degrees, not getting a reading and my coolant temp on instr. cluster is not getting a reading. Any idea what a fix could be? Would sincerely appreciate your thoughts! GREAT VIDEO it was super helpful.
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch. My guess would be that you may have a faulty temperature sensor. If suggest getting a mechanic to check it out or see if it shows up as a fault using a code reading tool. Are you in South Africa?
@@The_Carbon_Connection I tried to the unlock code which is 35 to access the coolant temperature but it’s not working. Do you know why? I have a 2018 340i RWD
@@maropengkhoele8463 Depending on driving conditions, exterior temp, etc, the car may target a coolant temp of anywhere from around 80C to as high as 107C.
wow. I just realized this today that the my X5 has no water temperature gauge... very annoying.....why would BMW not have a normal water temperature gauge>>
Consigo deixar ela sempre nesse menu das temperaturas? Para que, mesmo desligando o motor, ao ligar o carro fique por padrão nesse menu das temperaturas??
@@TakalaniMaposa hi. It should not affect Motorplan at all. You should book your car in at BMW to have the problem assessed if the temperatures readings seem high.
@@The_Carbon_Connection I had them check it already, someone suggested the water pump be checked, they checked, say its working, the reason i took it there to begin with, is coz one day after drive from jhb to pta, parked the car and i could hear around the resevoir tank, as if boiling of a kettle, whatever was in there was boiling, no warnings though, so I just became concerned, took it there, they bleed the system, just need to test long distance again
The engines have variable MAP controlled thermostats, so coolant temperature varies depending on the mode the ECU is in. Range is from 80C - 111C (176F - 231F ) "Normal" is around 105C
Cool vid. Thumbs up. Is it possible to check/adjust the braking parameters at the screen?
Thanks for watching! From my understanding that may require coding or has to be done at a dealer.
How come your check engine light doesn’t come on when ignition is on?
Actually never noticed that. Wasn't aware that it should switch on.

Does it show transmission temperature for a drain and fill service?
I don't remember seeing a transmission temp in the menu.

@maropengkhoele8463 that's perfectly normal

Older gen cars like the e46 used to have them if I remember correctly. No idea why it changed.
i read somewhere that it has an electric water pump so it doesn’t turn on until the car gets up to temp

Sorry. I speak English
@@The_Carbon_Connection Can I set it so that it always displays the temperature? By default...
Unfortunately not. It has to be accessed via the secret menu every time.
Can you see the hidden menu while engine is running?
Yes. If you start your engine while you are in the hidden menu it will remain on the dash till you exit it turn the ignition off.
Tried this on my m135i 64 plate. Put numbers in hold the button in and it just puts me back to the menu again
That's strange. Try putting in the numbers and not pressing in again. See if that unlocks?
That's great news, my F10 won't allow me to rest my brake pad status , it's saying reset unsuccessful. Anyone got any ideas ?
@@irishvanhorse4338 no clue. But will try to figure it out.

How tu make airgb passger offf.Because of my small baby i need to make off.I dont have the off buton.I cannot. Find next to the door
Hi. As far as I know there has to be the switch on the side of the dash which is visible when the door is open.
How did you calculate 32? 😁
By adding the last 5 digits in my VIN
Yes but there dont have 32 in your last five ? How calculated 32 ?
9+8+5+7+3 = 32

Absolutely ridiculous, bmw didn't put a coolent gauge under the speedo
Yeah I agree. That would have been perfect.
Reset service
I think that's a different process. I can't remember.
