Hey bro, saw this comment on a video by Vancity Audi about his b9 s4 blowing up and it sounds a whole lot like what happened to yours. "I also have a B9 S5. I have the TTE810 and have been going to a GREAT shop that specializes in Audis, super awesome guys and very knowledgeable. They actually told me that any hybrid turbo on this car runs great, no issues, ON PUMP GAS. They said don’t even think about doing ANY ethanol on hybrid turbo, it’s making cars blow up and have other problems. He said ethanol on stock turbo runs perfectly fine, and the tte810 on pump is also fine, but the moment you add any ethanol like e70 or e85 on hybrid is when major problems happen. He said the sole culprit of that was because of FUELING. It just needs bigger and better injectors. Currently, there isn’t really any good options but even with the RS injectors you’re going to have issues brother. I thought I should just share this information with you, maybe it’ll help or maybe not."
Well done tbh, was cool to hear how the car came to be and your experiences with it. Like you said ultimately you have to pay to play and there’s risks that come along with doubling the factory output of a car. I’ve done two stage 3 cars and no issues after 20k miles on e85 and e60, hopefully it stays that way. Good luck with the mustang and all your future cars!
I bought a b8 S4 in 13 and just came back to VAG with a B9.5 S4. A bunch of smaller tuners have come and gone. Usually APR & Unironic has been regarded as the go to reliable stuff over the long term. There is a lot of reports about serious issues with the two other big names with the B9 platform.
Factory S sport exhaust (valves unplugged) and catted downpipe! The intake was a 034 p34 intake. The turbo noise was significantly louder with the hybrid turbo.
Yeah a reputable tuner would not just tell you to get better ethanol content fuel if they were seeing bad logs. A good tuner will tell you to check your spark plugs, confirm injectors are working, etc before even considering doing another pull.
Great video bro damn I hate the fact that car got ruined but you took it like a champ and stood on business are you planning on rebuilding the motor it might be a easy fixed 🙏🏾 if not what are you planning to do with the parts I’m in the tristate area let me know ether way sorry about your whip

yes it’s a combination of lack of fueling and poor tuning. 0 revisions were made to my car, all of my concerns were brushed off

Same happened to me. Same turbo, same tuner. Happened day 1 after 3 pulls on ethanol file.
Sheesh i remember meeting you at the pike and telling you stage 3 was the way to go
Did you mod the hpfp and stock injectors or upgraded injectors.
Upgraded 4.0t injectors. Rebuild hpfp with bigger piston, sleeve, retainers ect
@@robbiewakes Just making sure because that plug looks like it seen some detonation.
@@melvingrimes7886 oh for sure

I think 034 should at least refund tunes for customers who blew up their engines.
