Wonderfully organized and presented. I appreciate the powerpoint style, it's a powerful way of educating.

Do you know the answers to the following strategy questions regarding FoG2?
    1. Do the different leaders have different ability levels other than different sized leadership control zones?
    2. Do units get fatigued from marching long distances or continuous melee?
    3. What is the benefit of dismounting the cavalry units that can become spearmen? Can the unit remount during the battle?
    4. Do leaders effect troop rallying even when the leader is locked in melee?
    Thanks for the videos.

      1. No. However they do have different command levels - C-in-C can command any troops; Ally-Gen can command his troops. Sub-Gen can affect any troops but only join troops in his command. These questions are answered in the Generals video.
      2. No there is no fatigue. However each time you charge you are likely to lose some troops and eventually charging too often will cause destruction of the unit (mostly this applies to mounted units and light troops).
      3. Dismounted units usually have better morale than the foot units in that army. Don't dismount the units unless there is plenty of cavalry already in that army. No they can't remount during the battle.
      4. Leaders have no effect on morale unless they are in combat. They can only rally troops they are with. Their only effect at a distance when not in combat is to give an additional turn during movement. Watch the generals video again.

I follow your tutorial - it looks all meaningful and well thought, very tactical - but in my games all these nice tactics just evaporate, turning into frustrating chaos ultra quickly. There is a huge amount of enemies coming over me from everywhere. When my troops hit the enemy - no matter how strong - even elite soldiers vs. light "normal" troops - it is just a matter of a few rounds until my soldiers break apart. What is left gets attacks from front, left, right, back - just everywhere. There are few moments when things could turn into my favour, but right in such moments when such a tiny chance lights up, another important troop breaks apart, and what looked like a chance one sec before turns into a trap.

This sounds like you have heavies/elites versus the classic Med Foot Regular Light Spear/Swordsman swarms. This is a classic matchup. Rome versus Sardinia for example etc.
As Rome, you want to use ZOC, skirmishers and whatever cav you can spare, including light jav cav to delay and ensure the enemy cannot attack as one. Anchor your weak flank on something that can buy time. For example, a built up area prevents flanking attacks, a stream, a mountain or use a square formation. If all fails, refuse this flank (angle it away from the front) so it takes more turns to wrap around and start flanking. For the main thrust, just head on charge in a cohesive line with your impact troops on clear terrain. You should break the enemy in around 5 turns or so with no intervention. Once a single enemy unit breaks, the chain rout mechanic will create more holes to exploit. If you let swarms hit you simultaneously and wrap around your lines your troops will die.
As a swarmer I want to hit your entire force with my entire force at the same time, and basically engage all your units at the same time to tie them up and break their ZOC, allowing me to engage more units, then use my remaining units to wrap and flank you and sweep up the line, your job is to prevent this, and to win a head on fight at one part of my line which will cause chain routs. Remember, any medium unit can flank charge and drop cohesion, even the crappiest, no melee capability, no armour, raw, bowmen or rabble. This is highly disadvantageous to your legions. You want them to engage in a way where their superior capabilities matter, and capabilities do not matter when someone with extra units wraps your line and flank charges it.
Delay him so he can't use his whole force against you, and is forced in a head on slugging match where your efficient and effective legions should win.

Great plan, but what happens if the Romans deploy around the hill, over there on the part of the field you are planning to ignore?

That's like saying, "but what if I was up against a human opponent" but if they deploy on the part of the field that I am planning to ignore, so much the better! They won't be able to fit all their forces there, and I'll have an even greater advantage in my part of the battlefield. Usually deploying on a hill doesn't work, you have to come down off it to attack your enemy, or it gives the initiative to your enemy, who can pick and choose where to attack.
