Of all the times I’ve watched the end; you outdid yourselves this time, I thought the moonrise was spectacular here in San Antonio Tx. that just goes to show that all of Gods creation even if only sometimes visable, is so pretty to cast one’s eyes upon ! Well done V. R. Fan ❤️!

0:44 CSX 1701 is an SD40E3, and is one of 15 rebuilt by EMD/Progress Rail in 2017. This is one of three SD40-2 rebuild models CSX has. The most common is MPI SD40-3s with squared cabs, and the most recent is GE's ET23DC "Franken-GEVOs".

There at 3:57, the crosstie ends on that turnout in SPSX 598780 have an interesting shape which appears to be beveled; could they be shaped metal instead of wood or concrete?
They are indeed steel ties, often used in specialty applications (tunnels, etc).

I think La Grange needs to build another Fire Department on the other side of the tracks
I'm sure the train crew would wish they could have let the Fire crew through first. I'm surprised there isn't technology that lets CSX Control know that there is a 911 call and slow the train before the crossing or even before hitting town.
We know trains running at that speed can stop in a block so it could work?
May save lives.

What the ....?!! Did the Fort Wayne RR Historical Society reject those ESE Budd cars coming back East through Fairport, NY?
They may have other than direct west routing to Buffalo gateway or may be heading to an eastern car shop for basic mechanical work.
They should have a sign there at the station proclaiming Fort Madison as a "Railfan Mecca." Practically every Grab Bag the place is crawling w/trains!

Why does Fort Madison have unusual lines one goes in front of the station, two behind it?
They are two entirely separate routes, which just happen to run parallel to each other for a short distance through Fort Madison.
The 2 lines in front of station is old ATSF, Chi to KC, 1 line between the 2 stations, is old CB&Q, Burlington, Iowa to St. Louis
