Thanks for featuring Bears In Space Zlim! We're really glad you enjoyed it and look forward to watching you play the full game when you get your hands on it
Thank you Zlim again for this list. You really got me excited about Mother Hub. Just the name and a few glances gave me some old System Shock vibes....one Vault with an unkown history eh? Would not be surprised if it was a generation ship story. One more thing.....I saw you play FLAW during a stream. I spent like 3 hours completing the demo. The game is not hard...the game is imbalanced right now. They way the game works is that you take damage every encounter and those 12 health kits will not last you long. There is currently only ONE playthrough of the demo and the pro Pagb even quit before finishing it completely. Will see you around.
Thank you so much for making these. I'd waste a few evenings if i tried to find good stuff on next fest myself. Slyders is definitely a cool idea, i hope the dev expands on it. Literally the Vampire Survivors FPS which we didn't know we needed. And Mullet Mad Jack looks just insane. Post Void looked like it was on mushrooms, and MMJ is like Post Void on mushrooms lmao. There's no other game that looks like it.
Glad you liked it! :D Overall the next fest was a bit meh this time around, but I found some gems. hopefully the FPS fest in April is better I'd love to make a top 20's video :D
I was not surprised to see most of the things i played this year missing from your list. Out of my selection of like 10 games, only FLAW went to my wishlist and the rest was a lot of...well...Steam has the ability to upload playtest builds that are meant for people to test and report bugs and then there's demos which are meant to show that the game is nice and this next-season i was writing down bug reports more than i played for fun. Kinda funny that a game called FLAW is the least flawed. Now imagine FLAW with a working save system and a quicksave button.
@@ZlimBratSki yeah. Well, since you played all of them, i now wonder how you may have reacted to playing the stuff i also played :-D Did you play the one with the topless girls saying "nyaooo-nyaooo" as enemies? Because that was my "okay, enough internet for today. Alt-F4"-moment.
I also met one of these death knight player in Dungeonborne aaaaand I got rekt in the dark in less than 5sec. We need to unite and conquer these dungeons.
It was so fun to wach you play those games on the live, Mother hub and Flaw are my favorite. Out of Action was so good but has no campaing, stil was awesome.
Great list and video. Thx for showing these games Zlim. Dungeonborne, Ceasar's Revenge and Eclipsium are my favs from these list. 🤗👌great work with the Intros ❤
I don't know. Just Bears in Space and Eclipsium for me for now. Maybe others later. But i'm happy that more imsim-fps retro games are made now. Or slower ones. You know what i mean. Creativity seams to peak too around the fps genre.
Crazy that before I played the demo Out of Action was my most anticipated game. Hate to say it, but there is just "too much" going on for me to enjoy it... not for me, but I am sure others will enjoy it. As for Tribes, man I have already put tooooo many hours into the demo (don't tell my wife). Thanks for the video!
@ZlimBratSki way ahead of their time tbh. Playing escape from butcher bay especially feels way better than any other og xbox fps. Even games today struggle to give the character such a sense of presence
you ran into a death knight in dungeonborne and they are pretty seriously overpowered in my experience. Something that needs to be fixed for the longevity of the full release
The only game i played in this list is flaw and it describes the game so well, the whole game is flawed from the ms sam voice acting not even ai voice to constantly running out of amo to he simplisitc level design, the bugs, the fact the game micro stutters when you kill an enemy to the facty you lose ammo between levels, its an absolute mess that i dont understand how he can put it on a demo, this is years from being finished. It feels like baby's first level , that you make the critical error of thinking the difficulty is just right because you played the level multiple times and you are familiar with each are of the game, so the game feels super hard to someone who didnt play it, i would agree with ammo management if you could remove ammo from the weapons you pick or you could kill enemies with head shots but no, the game just gives you less ammo than what is available and it makes no sense to get 1-4 ammo when enemies take 5 and thats the weakest ones, i want to like it but it has to decide wherever tits a fast paced shooter or a every shot count survival game, not this broken mess that microstutters with no room to maneuver i had to use melee to stunblock enemies to take them down with saving ammo but the later areas had way too many powerful enemies, the game is just not playable. It reminded me all the crappy fps creator games that people made in late 200s also operation matriarchy has a similar theme with the cyber aliens and all but that game was playable from start to fiinish even without the patches and the unofficial patch that fixes alot of missing stufff, adn had better voice acting too, despite being a indie russian game with barely any voice acting, seriously flaw is a absolute mess, needs tons of work, i want to like it, but its like the game is designed on purpose to piss you off, i did not have any issues with graven aside form now knowing what to do, but this game broke me, its like the dev did it on purpose.
Yeah I agree it does have a lot of bugs, and it needs more balancing in many aspects. It's getting massively improved by the day however and I can see the beauty in it. That's why I chose to put it here :)
@@ZlimBratSki i dont see any updates, anyway i found more games, mantra, dashgunner, bane murrain, slingshot protocol, rsod and super bio man, have not played any of them though.
@@arkgaharandan5881 theres been almost daily updates, I havent checked since two days back tho. Nice, I saw them and played murrain, it was not good. But I noticed there are still new games poppin up, might have to do a "late comers next fest video"
If "Dungeonborn" ends up being just another multiplayer nonsense, without a proper offline single-player campaign...then it's gonna be the biggest waste and betrayal since the great swindle of Quake 3.
I'm very afraid that it will end up exactly like that, but for good reason. People seem to love it, and it is actually a ton of fun in Co-op :) But I get your point, I do!
@@ZlimBratSki A ton of fun would be doing it IRL. Coop or not. If a kind of theme part like that existed or something. But it still would have to be a proper campaign. A VR sword & shield could work too (if there is such thing), in the worst case scenario.
Most these games look good but I've got to be honest, as somebody who played a ton of Tribes back in the day, this latest title is a shameless cash grab and isn't fit to hold the Tribes name. Tribes was a large scale expansive shooter, Tribes 3 is a very, very poor small scale Arena Shooter - not good.
Ah man that sucks to hear, I didn't play all that much of it back in the day. But did you play the 12v12 capture the flag? that felt like a fairly big map. Also remember that this is just the demo, it's only a taste of what is to come :)
You are AMAZING! Thanks for checking out my next fest video!
Which game is your favorite in the video?
Echo Point Nova was pretty fun, Bears in Space was excellent and Tribes III oh lord Tribes 3 I'm just glad they brought it back.
You have good taste in games my friend @@whatthefudgegaming4403

My pleasure! I literally cannot wait for March to come any sooner! Thanks for bringing this amazing demo to the next fest :)
Love that you included Caesar's Revenge! I had way more fun with it than I expected to.
I just had to, I can def see the quality of it for what it is even if I wont be playing it much :) This video was to show off the good 💪😁
OH MY GOD! I loved playing Tribes Ascent back in the day! And finally - the revival of the series! Thanks for the info, man!

I like how you included "Eclipsium", though it isn't a FPS. That shows you give each type of indie game a chance to shine.😀
For sure! I want to broaden the channel a bit to cover more sorts of FPS games, and this is a small step in that direction :)
Oh man, Out of Time looks cool, like a revival of The Specialists - we haven't had a shooter in that style done well since Half-Life's mod scene
Let me know what you think of it if you give it a spin :)

surprised galvanized isn't on here probably one of the better steam next fest retro shooters (there aren't that many so far this year anyway)
It's not a part of the steam next fest so I missed it :)
