  • 19 species of the many visiting and resident birds this spring in Central Park and unfortunately, where trash winds up.
American Robin, Black-capped Chickadee, Northern Flicker, Red-winged Blackbird calling, male Scarlet Tanager, female Scarlet Tanger, Baltimore Oriole, Blue-headed Vireo, Black-and-white Warbler, Northern Parula, Rose-breasted Grosbeak song, Eastern Kingbird, Dickcissel, Cedar Waxwing, Common Nighthawk, Belted Kingfisher, Green Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, Great Egret, and a Northern Cardinal fledgling. City parks are a treasure for all to visit and share. Don't leave trash behind for wildlife, their families and ours. Always dispose of or take out what you bring in. April - June 2016. Central Park, New York City.

I took a walk this morning in my Brooklyn neighborhood and I heard birds chirping. A sure sign of spring.

Wonderful footage and great message about trash. Awesome footage of the Red Wing! Amazing how these birds are so close to people and traffic.

Yes, always surprised at the amount of birds that stop for rest and food in Central Park, not intimidated by all the noise or people

Thank you for watching! If you look on the left at 3:08 the Black-and-white Warbler is climbing up the tree the raccoons are filmed in.

Wonderful! Special kudos for the belted kingfisher and green heron, but loved them all.

Unfortunately, some park visitors don't respect or understand that these are habitats as well.
