  • Central Park is a famous birding destination in New York. It serves not only as an oasis for people but also for birds. We met up with our friends Jeff and Otys, who showed us around this iconic destination. Along the way we, found some incredible bird species.

I love birding in Central Park - late April-early May 2019 was one of my most memorable birding experiences ever, with 25+ warbler species seen, plus countless other great species. Glad you've done a video about this place. I took a lot of species-specific videos in CP last spring, when I wasn't able to be there for as long but still got some great birds. Never been early enough for Louisiana Waterthrush, so pretty envious on that one. Amazingly we've had three American passerines in the UK this year (maybe more, but I've seen three): Northern Waterthrush, Myrtle Warbler and Dark-eyed Junco. Of course, I've seen tons of them in the US.

Very interesting to see the birds in that place, it is well known that you can see many species there, I even follow the channel of a lady who always films in that place. Birds in certain urban parks are abundant; When I travel to Buenos Aires I go to large parks or the ecological reserve, similar in size to the Central Park, with the difference that it is an abandoned polder on the River Plate, where the vegetation slowly colonized the place, with records of about 300 species in the 40 years of its existence

    • @BadgerlandBirding
