I love what you guys are doing. Its nice to see some young bucks getting their hands dirty and doing something cool. Best of luck to you guys. You got a sub from me. keep up the good work fellers.
The 3800 doesnt get the credit it deserves. I had a 98 camaro with the 3800. I decided to play with the motor and see what the outcome was. Throttle body spacer, cold air intake, headers, catalytic converter delete, under drive pulleys, upped the bore size, ported and polished heads, cc'd the chambers, e3 platinum plugs, royal purple oil change, roller rockers, short throw shifter, 3.42 gears and some weight shaving.......all made for a beastly lil camaro
If I'm not mistaken, the GM 3800 V6 is the same block that went into the Buick Grand National back in the day. I had a '96 Camaro RS with the 3800 in it.
Alot of late 90s and 00s holdens in Australia had these engines even the supercharged versions and they were all rwd so basically a rwd grand prix gtp with manuals
Beautiful boys! Can't wait to get mine goin. Im gonna try the l67 icm. I have an l67 tune from zzp. All that is is they add a boost section that works for turbo or sc so that and the new icm along with a 2bar should help imensly! Also i bought the hp tuner harness for the AEM uego boost gauge so i can read the afr off of that too! Ill be subscribing soo so... hope to hear from you guys. I know this is an old build now but i hope y'all are still runn8n it. Again great job guys!
Great work. I must say that open can of Acetone next to you while your welding sure could make life or death exciting! See minute 10:09 on video. Ka Boom At least your not using a flux core mig! I’m no praying for ya guys.
Followed since the beginning always forget to like I’ll work on that lol but glad it’s finally done basically and bad ass can’t wait to see the Dyno video
I wonder what she dynos at. Also where yall learned to fab like this. Definitely a dream of mine to find someone to teach me one on one but looks like ima have to pay for schooling
Does it have the limited slip differential? Package codes? I ask because of the original burnout; I want to do some drifting with it. However, I don't think it's possible with an open differential on these F-Bodys
I believe it's the non-posi unit but will have to check. Down the road we will be swapping in a ford 8.8 with chopped axle housings to maintain the stock suspension
The motor that is in the car is a L67, originally from a supercharged Grand Prix. If we were to build the L36 (the motor that came with the Camaro), we would look into the strength of the stock rods. The supercharged motors had stronger ones. Past that we would do the same upgrades like adding a double timing chain and ARP main and head studs.
@@JuryRigGarage yeah t5s dont like shifting at rpm higher than that they do make really nice syncros the same design as the t56 and im putting a gear set in mine and i think its 400 ftlb
@JuryRigGarage ok cool , cause I have a basic 3.8 2000 camaro and im looking to put a t4 turbo soo was just wondering since it would be easier to install then swapping the motor for a v8
@arturos.l.2248 It's fixed now. Professional help found a burnt power contact on the ignition module plug from the computer. It wasn't letting enough voltage through, and the computer would shut down. The car is running better than it ever has now.
I"m getting old, Great to see the next gen building fbodys.

Sounds great. I wonder what a max effort NA 3800 would be like
@@JuryRigGaragemight f around and find out ngl, if only I could find the parts nowadays
I miss my 99 V6 Camaro was my first car back in 04. Looking for another in 5 speed. Might have to do this lol

Good video to see mates tinkering around the garage. Cool to see how the subframe drops out of the camaro.
Can't wait to see what you guys do with it.
I am so impressed.
Cool stuff. We are building a new motor for the 74 Ford Courier with a 3800 and turbo

I see 3800 turbo I hit like 😁 good stuff guys 🤟
It’s pretty much a grand national 👍
i drive the 3800 series Camaro so happy to see this thing done and goring been waiting for ever checking back every so often

Your skills are improving...ur fabrication level is really impressive these days.... long live the channel gentleman!!!
Didn't even make it through the ad and hit that sub button cuz I knew this is gonna be gold lol
You guys killed it great job!!!
Awesome! This is the kind of builds that i love to see....
Glad you like it!

Perfect music. Perfect car 👍
I have a 2000 camaro 3.8 as well , wish mine was like that
Great job fellas! 💪🏾
Great stuff! Keep it up fellas 🏁🏎💨
Appreciate it!!
Awesome job guys!
This is Aweshome! cooL. reminiscent of a buick GN. Think this would work really good in a 2nd gen camaro also?
Ahh the mighty ecotec well in Australia thats what it is or buick v6 and thats an l67 supercharged i have a ecotec v6 in my car they go hard

Very nice 👌🏽
Trading is all about trial and error. Keep experimenting with different strategies until you find what works for you.
turbo supercharged or super turbocharged? Like piston aircraft engines. Nice work.

Have the exact same came!
Hey bro, the NA 3800 camaro’s with original internals, how much psi or hp engine’s inernals can get?
Is there a turbo kit for the 3800?
I wanna see you take this one to the limit
rippin!!
..& thanks for the great videos
I'd bet 5 dollars the throttle body placement killed the supercharger install
Did you have to do anything with the ECM?
Tuned with HP tuners
Are those roller engines
how much for you guys todo this to my 97 rs automatic?
Studs are good. For the motor, I mean.
Im going to slap a turbo or supercharger in my 00' lesabre to turn it into a true sleeper
Just a supercharger on there would be cool
Happy Thanksgiving guys!
What did you do to the naturally aspirated 3800 series two to add a turbo I just rebuilt mine and am looking to see what else I can do to the motor

Would be nice to have this video without all the music. Just kills the vibe
Excellent work as always 👍
Thank you!
What radiator did you all use?
how did you get the throttle body to work with that engine?
This video always says 1 year ago for over 5 years I've seen it
What kit for headers did you use
eBay kit that we modified
that poor t5 id put a 2.95 gear set in it
Yeah might not last long with the T5. We will eventually swap in a Tremec TKX
@@JuryRigGarage if you are making less than 350 youre good but yeah tkx might be best
@@ethanol-fb Right now we're probably around 250-300lb-ft and shifting below 5500rpm. Once we turn up the boost we'll want to upgrade
@@JuryRigGarage yeah t5s dont like shifting at rpm higher than that they do make really nice syncros the same design as the t56 and im putting a gear set in mine and i think its 400 ftlb
Why would you not use the super charger? I’m asking because I want to do this swap in my YJ wrangler.
The swap is much simpler with a turbocharger and has a lot more potential than the SC
How much power could a turbo setup add to my 3.8 if I did the same build
I've seen similar builds with the same turbo pushing 30psi making 600-700whp
@JuryRigGarage ok cool , cause I have a basic 3.8 2000 camaro and im looking to put a t4 turbo soo was just wondering since it would be easier to install then swapping the motor for a v8
And its a manual
A highschoolers dream lol
What’s funny is we were a little out of high school when we started the build 😂
Rad
If I bought the parts how much would you guys charge to install my turbo kit. Also. How many hp you got now?
Whats the HP ?
We only tuned it to 8psi so maybe 250whp? If we were to turn it up, 14psi would likey get us 350whp and 28psi would be close to 500-600whp.
My 2000 v6 quit on me and won't spark anymore. I'm envious.
Get another V6 in there bro

That not turbo charge it super charged but great build
Umm thats a turbo sir.. haha
@@JuryRigGarage no a turbo is not rand off of a belt it rand off of exhaust Gas.
@@patpeacock8150 Hah check the video again. We put turbo manifolds and build a custom turbo kit. No supercharger and it's not driven by a belt lol
@@JuryRigGarage that's a super charger a turbo runs off of exhaust not a belt driven worm super charger that came on 3800 in Pontiacs
do a hydrogen swap
