- A rainy Sunday with another group of ewes just beginning to lamb. Also had some special visitors come hang out with the flock. And finally a big thank you for something special that happened to me this week.

Sandi! Congratulations. I have been watching your videos pretty much binge watching them and from the beginning you have been such a trailblazer. Showing those of us who have found this channel so much about what it means to be a farmer and how passionate you are about what you do. If anyone deserved to be recognized for such incredible work it really should be you.

My wish for you is that you are able to catch even a small glimpse of HOW AMAZING you really ARE. I've only watched a couple of your videos and can SEE the real you. Spirit has nothing but praise for you. You are kind and genuine in your love and appreciation for animals, treating them with the same regard you would with a human being. The animals know what you're saying, because they know YOU. They are picking up such great energy from you. You, taking the time to talk to them and have a conversation, is one of the KINDEST things we can do for animals we encounter. You are LIVING your SOULS purpose not by profession necessarily, but by how you REGARD the DIGNITY of their species. Your SOUL IS AWESOME.
How cool to be nominated and chosen by your peers. I am not a sheep farmer. I know nothing about sheep. I am learning through your vlog. I don't watch anymore else's vlog, but I will say this; I am happy you won. You are truly an inspiration. You share you. Not some made up sense of what lamb farmers are like. Not some glorified vlog about your days. You teach the truth as you learn it. It is a nice change to watch someone being honest about all aspects of their life. I am enjoying getting to know you and about sheep farming. I am a person who crochets and knits. It is amazing to see what goes on before yarn is sold in the shop. If no one has told you today, I appreciate you and all that you do.
Congratulations Sandi! It’s awesome to know that even 5 years ago people acknowledged how wonderful a shepherdess you are. Even now I don’t think you give yourself enough credit about how good you are, you’re caring, conscientious, dedicated, very hard working and you are always trying to better yourself and your sheep. The name Sheepishly Me fits maybe a little too well, give yourself credit where credit is due. 💕

I have no idea how your channel popped up on my page, but I’m so very happy it did. I’ve probably watched about 30 of your videos in random order thus far, and decided to go back to the beginning.
I grew up in the Detroit area, spent a decent amount of time in Ontario. Now my hubby and I are in the process of moving from one farm in NE lower Michigan to another a bit further north just 2 miles from Lake Huron.
Off to go watch a few more videos! Thanks for the education and entertainment.

Sandi, you should watch this at those times when comments bring you down.
It's hard to remember the good we have done when we are focused on a negative. Human nature unfortunately let's us stir on our personal harsh critique, we are too often raised to not gloat or think big of ourselves. So we automatically come from a pre-conceived notion that negative criticism is more accurate than positive.
If only we could all spend as much time absorbing the positive as we do the negative, then we would realise how unbalanced our view is of ourselves.
Stew on this : I think you are a motivated, strong and capable soul.
Spend as much time on that positive comment as you do a negative comment.

Again, well deserved award. You are showing the world what we do every day. (The ewes lamb at the far, open end because it is easier to get away from the crowd. In nature they would lamb far from the flock so they can bond with their babies and then bring them back.)

Just caught your channel. Farm here in USA, IL. I’m a small farmer now on the downturn of life. “OLD”. Still work full time off Farm. You look busy I always enjoyed raising livestock. What no dog?? Good stuff about your sheep.
Jerry Halcomb thanks Jerry!! Yes, love my sheep! As for the dog, we have a beloved border collie named Duke. He’s not much for herding the sheep but is unstoppable when chasing the spray when we pressure wash equipment, chasing snowflakes, and chasing a lawnmower.😂

Well done, I've been going through your back vids and your a very good sheep farmer in my opinion. Lots f farmers around the world treat the animals as meat and money ( which of course they are in the end) but that doesn't mean that you can't give them as good a life as possible and bond with them as they live on the farm. I've noticed your sheep are exceptionally well looked after and that's a similar way that I like to do it. ( mine live outside most of the year, but I have many favourites that follow me everywhere, well done again you deserve the award. Have a look at my vid farming in the snow and you can see my farm and sheep as I feed them in some bad weather in Wales 😀👍
