- Today my good frind Aggie and her beautiful daughter Eleanor visited the farm (specifically, the lambs). The barn is so popular for friends, especially for entertaining their little ones! I never get tired of seeing the absolute joy on the little faces when they get to hang out with the babies. Later in the afternoon, I pulled the CIDRs on the second half of the next breeding group. Its a hot one this week, but calling for a bit of relief on Tuesday night, Wednesday which is when these ewes should theoretically come into heat. Fingers crossed. Two strikes against me so far. Rams don't like heat, and ewes don't like breeding in June.

We have 5 grandchildren from 2-10 years old. Their excitement seeing the sheep and lambs makes all the hard work so worth it. Thank you for sharing your little friend.
I decided to start from video 1. Been a day of binge watching. You have some impressive 💪!!! 😍
After watching random videos over the last few weeks, I started from the first one this afternoon and have just kept going. I wonder how many I’ll manage to watch today.
Me too. I've got 5 year's worth. Pass the popcorn. Now to figure out how to make TH-cam feed them to me in order...
Such a sweet little girl. It was great seeing her with Rosie and how the lamb just followed her around. All of that and getting to feed Rosie are memories that she will always remember.
I hope everyone has the opportunity to have a special little friend! Thanks for sharing Lainey with us! Incredible warm loving smile on your face! Thanks so much for sharing.
What a precious little girl Lainey is. She didn't seem to be afraid of anything. This episode brightened my day.
LOL 🤗🙏💜 Please stay safe and sending hugs to you and yours. Love your vlogs!
This is the most adorable video!! Loved her feeding the lamb 🐑
Sandi.
That is so great of you to shared with that little girl and her Mom showing them the lambs in the sheep barn. You may have shared something special with a future farm girl !! Take Care Be Safe Alway's Around all Farm Equipment. Just a small note about farm safety the one at Weller Farm's called Leg Arm crushed his right fore arm working on a Big Bud tractor. He had to have surgery plus was hospitalised in another city.
Loved ur little helper. Loved the name for the baby ewe.
Aggie is definitely high maintenance.
Cuteness overload!
I would have loved that experience as a child! Heck I still would and I'm 35. 😆
Such a pretty young lady visiting sheep

This reminds me of “Little Bo-Peep” & “Mary Had a Little Lamb” from Nursery Rhymes (1983)

If you click the description box you will see what date the video is uploaded
I live in Georgia, USA. What time of year was this vlog made? I’m asking because this is the first time I’ve seen you in shorts.
Do your sheep naturally shed their wool? I know 'hair sheep' do. But I thought 'wool' breeds needed to be sheared. I've seen the videos of 'Shrek', the ram that avoided shearers for about 4 years and when caught, could barely stand for the weight of wool he was carrying. Ruthie definitely looks like she is shedding around her neck, but could this just be wear and tear around the feed bunk?
They used to shed, but have been bred not to so their wool could be used by us. I don't mean this as a recent thing, but for thousands of years. Now they MUST be sheared or the end up like Shrek, Robert Hall and many less famous. If you like the shearing check out Right Choice Shearing...I love their videos.
Hey Sandi! Are the IUDs able to be sanitized and reused, I just wondered cause you said you only used them 12 days?
And when you say heat, what temps are high in Canada in summertime? I’m just interested cause here in Australia 🇦🇺 40-45c are our high temps in Summer
I think because the main use of the IUD or CIDR is the hormone coating on it, there is likely not enough on it after the first use to be able to be used again.
Not sure if the hormone is sold by itself for reapplying to it, but that'd be interesting.
This reminds me of A Christmas Romance (1994)
I've wondered for a few videos, what's in the green bags in barn?
I can answer that - its wrapping from the haylage outside the barn. As its fed, the wrapping comes off/is taken off and put in the bags
Question; Why do you dock their tails at that length?
She does that so the tails come off without the lambs having a big wound, because the tails catch dirt and stuff which is not exactly hygienic (I think I spelled that wrong) while lambing for example
I totally understanding... I did that 60 years ago when I had sheep, but the norm at the time was to dock them shorter... So my question is... Why that particular length of tail? I'm just curious...

You've gotta get an autodoser gun! Save so much time!
I have one. I've found they break so many more needles with it. This stuff is so expensive, I want to make sure they get the exact dose and not waste any. I need a better chute, then I'd go back to the auto-doser.
