Start a cold saw and go right to cutting= good way to have a cold cylinder/piston seize. Please let a chainsaw warm up on idle one minute before cutting…you will thank me later !
@@kelvinsparks4651 Yes, it is. But it fills a niche for the very occasional use home owner. I am not that (I own and operate a large 60” circular sawmill). I also cut, split and sell firewood year round. Why did I buy this saw? Simply to see what it could do! So far it has been a joy to run…starts quickly, runs and idles good. It sure is light and nice to start for a quick cut off in the mill operations! It is also a joy to handle at the end of the day when I am exhausted (I just turn 73 years of age). I will do an update on it some day. Thanks for tuning in…..ps. I normally run a fleet of large to small Stihls (6 to be exact). So I know saws.
@@kelvinsparks4651 Yes, and it’s getting a bit scary for me to run alone at 73 years of age. I used to run it with a helper. It’s a hand set mill will just a hydraulic log carriage for feed. There is very little money in rough sawn hardwoods lately. I make way more just cutting, splitting and seasoning hardwood firewood to sell.
I have a 52 and 62 cc saw. The 52 is Homdex. It's a great saw. It was in my barn for a year. Took it out two weeks ago, cleaned it up, changed the blade, and fresh fuel. It started up and I was logging. The 62cc is new. It's a good saw. The plastics are cheap, however it cuts well. What do you have to lose?
Man I really appreciate the video...please don't take this feedback as a slam...I would say this to anyone...please please 1) get some safety gear. 2) just being around fallen/cut timber is dangerous, let alone while operating a chainsaw...please be more careful! I am subscribing and giving you thumbs up!
When measuring stroke bore and everything else these 62cc saws are bearly 58cc. 62cc that saw should be ripping with 24in bar. Can't beat 100 bucks though but it looks bearly used!
