Indead, I own an OT for over a week now, and since yesterday I can sample almost with ease. Now I need to learn how to save the sample without losing it. I don't I know how I did it but I've saved a sample and it was empty, twice. First time I sampled only the settings of the sample second time remains a mystery. I had my first small jam yesterday and it was fun, but this instruments really demands an effort if you want to fully enjoy it. I'm not giving up.....yet ;-)
6 tracks with Monomachine samples. 1 track (track 7) is used for sampling and playing back the recorded sample. Several samples can be played back by a track, but only one sample at a time can be played.
Sampling (this statement could go for a number of OT things) is not that hard. It's just a little different from what you would initially think. Once you get your head around the OT you can see why it's is what it is and I applaud Elektron for making a machine that is as powerful as this.
Is there any way to do transistions between projects without stopping the OT? I do faster music and when I'm at 16 banks with16 pattern each, I habe a total playtime of like 40 minutes so I need to change them what usually causes the device to stop so it's not in sync with other devices anymore... you can't even sync it manually because there is just the tempo knob.. I really don't want to sell it as it gives me the most possibilities without a daw
you could buy a cheap looper, play the loop while you change projects. im honestly amazed you're able to use all 256 patterns tho.. theres a lot you can do with just one pattern. i play fast music too and half the time i dont even change patterns
TheHotFalafel ya I don't get it either lol the "parts" contain the samples so I don't understand how you can sample from one part go to another and it still remains there unless the recorder buffers are independent of the parts....I guess they are.
Looks cool and all, but this video more or less explains nothing I can actually use day to day. perhaps a series of videos on how to do simple stuff like actually sample with ease in the first place would be more useful? A confused elektron customer.
Of course!
This series is great

Could you guys upload these project files? Just to see how it's all setup. I am also loving the videos but would love to take a peak under the hood.

4 Years late dude, I'm sorry but you could just use the 4 parts per bank to reuse the same sequenced patterns but with different samples.
I agree!.
I'm a bit lost... what happened?

How many tracks were used in this demo? Is it possible to load multiple samples on single track? Great video, BTW.
Yes, this is possible! 😂
can i record patterns without autoquantizing ?
