❤you Kathleen! Your story time saved me during the pandemic! Then you started this wonderful podcast that I look forward to every Wednesday! You are blessed with being pragmatic and common sense-a lost art. I am worried about the future and the only hope I find is in the creatives. ❤keep up your good work and the work of the Lord💐😉🌺!
You can put your own all star pills in your shark container. Should be able to see the colors & you’ve learned to pay attention. Things I learned from Kathleen’s stand-up
Excited to see you in August in Vegas! Former casino/hotel supervisor. At the Strat, power in summer was about $450,000 per month. The Sphere is estimated to be $465k per month mainly due to the exterior.
This pubcast is literally saving my sanity. I live in Ruidoso, NM and we have been ravaged by devastating wildfires and catastrophic floods. Mama Termite has provided me with a much needed distraction and comic relief. ❤
Kathleen, I agree about not trusting things that aren't regulated (Uber, AirBnB, etc.) Part of my dad's job before he retired was making sure industries were meeting OSHA safety standards. I like things that are licensed and regulated. (And don't ask about the stories from when he worked for a construction company that did lots of work in Sauget.)
Some years ago, before anybody complained, a little jewelry store on Cape Cod sold little charms (like for Gramma's charm bracelet) that were shaped like the head of a great white shark with a person's leg and shoe sticking out the mouth. I got one for my wife before they stopped selling them...greatest piece of jewelry ever!
Mid 80s worked at large (about 1,000,00 square feet) commercial office complex. First month there opened mail and the electric bill was around $300,000. Took it to office manager and said someone made a BIG mistake. She said nope - that’s the bill for the whole complex. Still to this day (nearly 40 years later) can’t wrap my head around it.
You could have taken this week off...thank soo much for posting Wish u great tour ...stay cool Looking forward to Olympics with snoop I loved when he and kevin hart did the winter Olympics together. Soo funny
In Houston there is a great charity called Rescued Pet Movement RPM that helps lost and found pets. Worth checking out. I can't wait to see you at Foxwoods. I feel like Big Lots is always like a whirlwind has gone through the store.
I took 12 of my friends to see your Portland Maine show for my 10:34 birthday. We had a great time, it was first time for most getting to know your humor. They loved it! I thought the show had material from the Big Foot show tour ,was that due to medical issue and not time to do new material? No matter it was a great show. The opening act was superb as well. Podcast Is wonderful; thank you doing the program. Thank you for all your time and energy.
Kathleen, i love your idea of reporting from a Big Lots! I love to shop there. I'xe gotten my last 2 sets of bed sheets there, some great kitchen storage containers, cleaning supplies, ziploc bags, saran wrap, etc. Im sad to hear they might be closing!!!!😢 . I go there instead of Walmart!😊
Withya on the Hallmark grudge, Kathleen. Did you do all those blankety-blank writing exercises after your interview? I mean, like a hundred-page book? And I swear I saw one of my ideas used in a card a couple of years later (although really, I'm sure some other J school student could have had the same idea. LOL).
If you find a high up enough guy ask them WHY there are not solar panels on top of those casinos!!! I lived there for 10 years and could not believe how the city wasn’t jumping all over that.
the best pizza I ever baked was in a cast iron skillet. recommend (I used a french bread recipe for the crust, half risen then squished in the pan, half rise again, bake until about half cooked, add toppings, finish cooking. so friggin good. I always struggled to make a good pizza dough, and this was the winning try)
I read an article the other day on Palmer Luckey, the creator of Oculus on NPR. He sold the headset to Facebook and now he creates AI weapons for Ukraine. Pretty amazing weapons too. He's a billionaire several times over. He describes one of his weapons as, "It's a drone that fires out of a tube into the air and then unfolds itself, extends its wings, extends its tail, unfolds the propeller and transforms itself into a small airplane," he says. "It can carry up to a 30-pound warhead. So you've got a lot of punch in this thing.”
btw, lol, @kathleenmadigan, thank you for mentioning Raanan Hershberg. took me a minute to figure out how to spell his name (thank you internet search bar auto complete), but once I found his youtube channel and checked him out, he is great. I've been stuck sick at home since Tuesday (6 days now. after all this time avoiding it the covid finally got me), so I appreciate finding new (to me) comedy to watch
I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s a lot but only do if I get whole house. Most hosts I’ve encountered left instructions for tv, fireplace, etc.I’ve only done Vrbo twice and didn’t like it as well
Thank you! For decades I’ve thought I was the only person who felt that lake or “beach” decor near a lake or beach was highly tacky. There’s so little need for a signs that say,”Life’s a Beach”…..🎪🎼
Mama Termite- stellar as always! Re: weather- let’s just all hope that the crops don’t fail. 😬🤞😬🤞😬🤞 As to the giant new lizard/salamander- ‘before the age of dinosaurs’ means we weren’t around. So even your Van Gough self would have been safe Also my Grandparents played Pickle Ball in the 70s- it is fun- just make beer compulsory.
I’ve only ever gone into a Big Lots store once. We used to have one here in Sioux Falls, SD. I was not impressed & couldn’t find anything. It was like a really beat up Kmart relative
Also, how is big lots having to close up so many stores and the there are 3 billion new Dollar generals being built in my own small area???? I say, poor management.
Idk about everywhere, but where i live (indiana) big lots has changed since i was a kid. Its pretty nice now. Cute decor, groceries, furniture...what you guys describe sounds more like Ollie's bargain outlets. Never the same stuff, but low prices. Like paddles says, bad garage sale.
How did you grow up without a big and little cast iron skillet? I have my great grandmother’s. No dishwasher. No scrubbby pads or Brill-O. Gentle super diluted soap for really really greasy things like bacon.
I think Taylor Swift should step in as the Democratic Party presidential candidate and all she has to do is say a word and look how many votes she would get. She could single-handedly save our democracy.
Ms.K our formerly protective magnetosphere is weakening, allowing more solar photons & cosmic rays thru. sun spots & coronal mass ejections have greater impact. The awful weather extremes are the result. I'm at a friend's home w gas generator in Brazoria County TX. Our natural gas generator's control blew out. I don't know what else we can do to prepare...losing power & technologies really bites especially when the heat index is above 109°
I don't go to Big Lots very often but I do enjoy looking in there from time to time, I think u can get cheap good holiday decorations there and gift wrap etc.. when I was a kid me and my mom and dad went there all the time, we had one near our house. When I was a kid it was called "Odd Lots" it took me forever to get use to calling it Big Lots once the name was changed people who didn't know what it use to be called would look at me strange when I said "Odd Lots" lol 😂
Kathleen, when you’re learning pickleball or after, you should do a quick beginner’s video. That would be great! People will either learn a lot, laugh their 🤬 off, or both. 😂😂

I ❤ cast iron⁴4 skillets...we used it last week 4 medallion beef my gawd it was wonderful...no infrastructure available for tons of 💦...here in GB The government wants to start a 10 hour a day 4 day work week...but it would only be 4 government employees.😊
Paddles needs a camera, too. I so appreciate this pubcast!! Kathleen is such a gift to the human race! It's so important to laugh!
❤Kathleen! Truly an American hero for her service during the pandemic and staying out the sewer that is our government.
Paddles needs at least a microphone. I often cannot understand what she is saying,
@@heatherhellickson9166/@pattyviveros2694 No, she has said she does not wish to be on camera on to be directly microphoned.
@justindenney-hall5875 I understand 👍
@@justindenney-hall5875I can respect that.
Trip to Paris and Rome for Mom’s 65th birthday is one of the best example of first rate story telling I have ever heard!

I miss story time. I still listen to them often, to be honest.
Down in Houston here with no power. Your podcast helped me pass some time in the heat. Love your podcast!!
I am going to use your quote “Everything looks like a Van Gouge painting without glasses” 😂
In a world of Joel Osteen's, be a Mattress Mack!

Kathleen, I love the Paris and Rome trip story. Funny 😂😂😂

I love this podcast for the variety of listeners- thank you for that
A gooey skillet cookie only has 15,000 cal per serving. Thank you!

Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 to Mama Termite and Paddles!
My grandpa said Cashews sound like a sneeze,
Ca-shEW! 😊 ❤️ love them

Love the pub! Thanks for always making me smile!

Saw the Rolling Stones in Vancouver last Friday. For super seniors they killed it. Mick seems ageless.
Love ya Paddles!!
I would love Hallmark cards like that, my friends and family would love that lol
The South Carolina guy that blew up from the firework, had a blood alcohol level of .312. Big story here in SC! Darwin wasn’t wrong. 😊
Ok we need a show in the Ozarks. Went to Willowes it was awesome!
I think the guy putting up monoliths all over the world had a weekend off and stole himself a sword.

Staying at an Air B&B in Knoxville next week. Guess we'll check for cameras. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks for the warning.
Please come back to Orlando we need you
We stayed at a little Indian Casino in Payton, AZ-they wouldn’t let me bring my own bottle to our room🤦🏽♀️
Felt like a total lush.🙂↕️
I wish you were in Indy so you could come learn pickleball with our crew. We have a blast. Even Pat would have fun.
THANK YOU again and again. A ray of fun!
If you find a high up enough guy ask them WHY there are not solar panels on top of those casinos!!! I lived there for 10 years and could not believe how the city wasn’t jumping all over that.
I use the Lodge small pan and that is the best for “iron hot dogs” and steaks😊
Thank You for another joyous episode!😊
Just a tidbit, a grocery store here in NC, LOWES (NOT the home improvement store) has a wine and beer bar IN THE STORE!!! what a great idea!

The ocean decor on lake property drives me crazy! I live near Smith Mountain Lake in SWVA soooooo many offenses.
Thank you! For decades I’ve thought I was the only person who felt that lake or “beach” decor near a lake or beach was highly tacky. There’s so little need for a signs that say,”Life’s a Beach”…..🎪🎼

That Hellmann's would be great on corn on the cob. I ❤ elotes
Nail polish can work also in a pinch for chiggers. I always used to tell my male relatives that red nail polish worked best!! 😆
😂😂😂😂

Bruce Springsteen canceled a show here in Philly last Summer.
Supposed to be rescheduled, nuthin.

And then what?
This is why you need to be 18 to vote.
My mom actually has her collection of Cast Iron skillets hanging on display, and we're not super rich ;). It can be done!!

The 12 days of the 4th of July were celebrated here in Ohio here too.
I don't go to Big Lots very often but I do enjoy looking in there from time to time, I think u can get cheap good holiday decorations there and gift wrap etc.. when I was a kid me and my mom and dad went there all the time, we had one near our house. I have been complaining about Airbnb and the like for years.. specifically the rules and cleaning fees...rip off most of the time! Hotel is better.
Why do you Never come to NC.
But love your stuff.
She was in Asheville NC last year or 2 years ago, I believe. I love all parts of North Carolina btw -I’m in SW FL!
I don’t know if they play the “I’m proud to be an American” song at all citizen oath ceremonies but they played it at mine.
From Houston, traveled to Vegas for 4th of July. Had to stay in Vegas until 7/10/24. Climate choices were Heat waive or Hurricane. WTF
Daisy was a great AKA for Rose. Was it chosen because it goes with dachshund sweatshirt? Great combo.
In the news, locals in Barcelona are wetting tourists with water guns. Hope your family have only good memories 😱
Watch instructional videos at x2 speed with subtitles. 10/10
I bought some golf balls when we were going to practice cheap ones from TJ Maxx turns out they were soap😂
I have never watched Joel O. As you describe him he may have actually have tic movement disorder(s). Also, check out the LV Sphere in the 120° heat.
Rose? It's ok... I'll always remember her as Daisy. Fantastic story... laugh every time I think about it.
But cleaning the skillet you can't use soap. Always wanted to buy one but am afraid.
Kathleen, when you’re learning pickleball or after, you should do a quick beginner’s video. That would be great! People will either learn a lot, laugh their 🤬 off, or both. 😂😂
It closed a long time ago
OMG! Kathleen…. wimbledon women final… did you bet on the ‘OVA’!? Krejcikova!!!
so many F-bombs this episode I love it lolol
And re: Cast Iron - they are NOT GOOD for the glasstop stovetops.
Have you watched the shark show on MAX "The Spawn of El Diablo"?
How about FL?
Also when is Mama Termite gonna get her first sponsor so she can make a few bucks for doing the Lord's work??
❤You,TY
Cast iron is a pain in the butt. They need babysitting. The description of what they can do is the description of - any pan.
🦈🦈🦈
Sounds like the tremors snake..
But if there was a blood clot, they had to remove
4 day work week. Is it 10 hours a day? = 40 hrs a week.
Believe it would have to equal at least 35 hours to qualify as full-time right? Your 10 hours seems right...and worth it
So your typing is like your speaking (at least on Pubcast)….very fast, but no margins.
Some fellow in Washington also put a mortar on his head and killed himself. Pathetic.
Today on our news in NZ someone tried to assassianate trump look forward to your comments next pubcast…..
