The Sothing Star humidifier/heater is beautiful. I love the design. It will be like having a piece of art in your home. This is going to be great for my elderly mother who lives in a mobile home. It gets very cold in there and this will be perfect for her on her limited budget. She won’t have to heat the entire house. She can just heat up the area she is in. I’m so excited to give this to her. It is absolutely gorgeous! I love it!
And also regularly run a clean washer cycle. If yours doesn’t have one, run a hot water cycle with bleach through the empty washer. Then rinse again. I do this along with keeping the door open and have never had an issue…20 years with a front loader.

Washing soda, baking soda, or citric acid work every bit as well but break down into the water system with no harm whatsoever. They're also less caustic to the inner workings of the machine - particularly the rubber parts.
Wow if you saw my laundry room in the basement you would die it’s horrible and no fun too. On my new home I just bought , your your video inspired me to actually try to do it my self I am so excited to give this a try , keep in mind I’m not a diy person so it’s a challenge so any feedback back would be helpful . The reason for why your front loading washing machine is smelling is because you are probably closing the door. You need the humidity to get out, leave the door just slightly open when you are not using it and this will prevent mold from growing. Once in a while, you do a bleach only cleaning - 2 cups of bleach using a tub cleaning cycle.

The Sothing Star heater looks soothing to watch the flame and with a humidifier you won't wake up feeling congested . I love how modern and unassuming it is you can't say that about the usual heaters or humidifers and that I like.
@@sanjamslm mine was constantly getting mold in the boot even though I dried it out after every load and left the door open and did the cleaning cycles with both bleach and the recommended washer cleaner. The maintenance guy told me several of the brands were more prone to mold build up and it permanently stains the rubber boot- gasket and it is very expensive to replace. Mine was one of those brands. I got tired of it. Since going back to the top loader I have had zero issues.

Looks so good so far! My husband noticed when you wired the dryer that you did not put a softener on the wire of your plug. This prevents the vibration of the dryer from cutting the wire which is against a sharp edge and causing a possible fire, if I am mistaken I apologize. Enjoy your channel so much!

Yeah, for top loaders! Mildew smell is sad when you have 4 children. I should have requested your great design tips when setting up my new laundry/bathroom. Also, I will be investigating the heater, as my propane heater is giving a big "pouf" of blue flame when it comes back on, so it is off until they thoroughly clean it. The reason for why your front loading washing machine is smelling is because you are probably closing the door. You need the humidity to get out, leave the door just slightly open when you are not using it and this will prevent mold from growing.
Once in a while, you do a bleach only cleaning - 2 cups of bleach using a tub cleaning cycle.

I also forgot to mention I’m redoing the attic and it has no heat at all and the heater would be perfect since I can’t really afford to make heaters to the attic so I have to buy an electric heater you guys are awesome

The Sothing Star heater looks soothing to watch the flame and with a humidifier you won't wake up feeling congested . I love how modern and unassuming it is you can't say that about the usual heaters or humidifers and that I like.

Why? In europe we don’t use much top loaders. I never had one and I read that they are not as good as the regular washer-top load 🤷♀️
@@sanjamslm mine was constantly getting mold in the boot even though I dried it out after every load and left the door open and did the cleaning cycles with both bleach and the recommended washer cleaner. The maintenance guy told me several of the brands were more prone to mold build up and it permanently stains the rubber boot- gasket and it is very expensive to replace. Mine was one of those brands. I got tired of it. Since going back to the top loader I have had zero issues.

I’m an easy sell for a good space heater and have them all over my house and office. I’ll run one in the middle of summer in my office because all the ladies like to freeze me! My catch phrase is, “I’m cold!” I’m also a bit bougie, so this space heater speaks my language!!
That heater is so pretty & would be so useful for our home. We live in a 1920's home in IL (snow is on the way) that has such poor insulation that causes our ameron bill to be $$$$! I love the safety features too since we have two toddlers! This looks like such a great product!

Looks so good so far! My husband noticed when you wired the dryer that you did not put a softener on the wire of your plug. This prevents the vibration of the dryer from cutting the wire which is against a sharp edge and causing a possible fire, if I am mistaken I apologize. Enjoy your channel so much!

I would love a beautiful space heater/humidifier like that for our detached homeschool. I have a compromised immune system, so I'm sick more often and being in a freezing room doesn't help. My 8 year old daughter would love it too!!

That heater looks amazing. I live in a 1980 manufactured home, with a pellet stove for heat. I think the heater would be the answer for our bedroom with no heat

Yeah, for top loaders! Mildew smell is sad when you have 4 children. I should have requested your great design tips when setting up my new laundry/bathroom. Also, I will be investigating the heater, as my propane heater is giving a big "pouf" of blue flame when it comes back on, so it is off until they thoroughly clean it. Thank you both for all the laughs. Always a joy watching! 😊
This Grandma can use the humidifier all the time due to always being sick due to Autoimmune disease. And the heater can keep this diabetic warm during my cold nights. I would love to get one. I love watching your videos, DIY Wife
