the music in the job interview sounds extremely ominous without context. when 47 was giving his interview answers and that music started up it made me laugh
Haha that's awesome - this game and its fantastic soundtrack can really facilitate making some cinematic moments. I can just imagine ahah! So immersive and fun 😆👌
Another cool thing is once you kill her, the oppressive, imperious presence, the music stops playing directly from the game's interface but rather comes from a radio in the office.
I like that they actually made the suspense and extraction themes more different than the other levels, particularly the Data Core version of extraction. And I really like Athena's Theme (Executive Office) Thanks, Salem!
The music is so well done. Orchestrial with subtle electronic notes. Gives hitman games the feeling that 47 just operates on a whole other level from his peers.
This is one of the reasons I love the new Hitman games. Each location's music all has a different theme to them based off the location's setting. Looking forward to Hitman III and it's incredible soundtrack.
I agree so much. All the maps (with the arguable exception of Colorado) are so well-designed and memorable to boot. Awesome games, some worthy reboots of a great series in my opinion.
@@badwulffthe most forgettable is Bangkok, a Farm map is amazing and it is pretry well designed, i just think is overflowed with guards and the cameras are placed wrong
I love this track SOOOO Much! The New York map really matches with the soundtrack as 47 navigates his way past frisk zones, cameras, and multitude of guards. Parts of the tracks have the pattern of *DUN* Silence *DUN* Silence, the added strings add that extra suspense. With Director Savalas watching everybody from a watchtower, stressed economists, 47 attempting to steal the data core, and an internal investigation, it adds to how much is actually going on within the bank. The faint sound of ticking within the track succeeds in showing how time is of the essence and that every second counts. Because the theme exhibits tons of suspense, the player will be very attentive. Making everything seem slow and long. Which is a must especially to make the map not feel too small. This track also lays the importance of the mission within the story of HITMAN 2 itself. If 47 fails this mission, the last ties to providence will be gone and the partners will disappear into the black curtains. This mission didn’t exactly have better targets than before, but the secondary objective of stealing the data core or subduing Mateo Perez and Fabian Mann makes the mission so much better. The track is also my new favourite. Once again Salem, you’re doing amazing. Thanks for uploading. Edit: I forgot to mention that the extraction theme for the data theme turns the suspense into an epic moment. Depending how you completed the mission (Silent Assassin or Mass Murderer) it really fits the outcome of it all.
With how much time is emphasized in this theme and how Savalas is framed around her giant clock face, it makes me think that this mission might have included a time limit at some point in development.
I think you've played hitman's or original series (till blood money I think) bcoz you say like either silent assassin or mass murderer after mission results
Very Blood Money, very Jesper Kyd. Really glad this mission's atmos tracks came out the way they did. Superb mix and production work. Everything's just flawless.
Thank you thank you thank you. I love listening to these while at work. The music in this game is wonderful. I wondered what would it be like without Jesper Kyd and now we see. It's too bad that the composer of this soundtrack doesn't get the recognition like Kyd did/does.
agreed i think the new soundtracks for the hitman games have been spellbinding. personal favourite being mumbai, also massive credit to IO interactive for creating such a seamless integration of the soundtrack, those sound cues as you knock someone out or kill a target are sublime.
Thanks for putting the vault break-in track at the end. That part gave me chills. And oh yeah, thank you very much for posting this. It’s absolutely fantastic. Subbed.
I've always loved the WoA OST, but man, when I was sneaking around the vault for the first time, white knuckling as I got to the security office, and the beat at 23:03 started playing, I got shivers. It feels like music out of a spy thriller, and really enhanced the anxiety of doing SASO in the bank
So far the best level soundtrack in Hitman 2. Thank you Salem for uploading. And thank you IO for such a great game. And thank you Nielsen for such an amazing soundtrack.
The intense version of the CEO Office reminds me a lot of Interstellar... and in my master SASO run i hear it a lot, nice I love how the Vault theme sounds, i wouldn't be able to imagine a perfect low-BPM heist theme
There's a pamphlet inside that gold glass box that describes one of the new Hitman locations in the dlc. I think it's the one with that beach scenery. But just so you know, I'm not completely sure if the pamphlet is about the new mission
Crime Escapist I noticed that too when I was doing a kill-everyone challenge. It’s probably most likely as it described the island as a sort of paradise for the rich. Grey would then say in the cutscene “We’re going to paradise” which probably hints that the tropical island maps is the one mention in the pamphlet. Sadly, there aren’t any snowy maps. I wish there was one based in Russia or Scandinavia.
@@thomasvillanueva9985 I noticed the pamphlet in the same way along with those little hints, and yea I agree, I wish there were snowy or arctic maps in Hitman 2 or the dlc.
Coming from the future, yes. It is. HAVEN island. A tropical resort. You guys most likely have it too since you guys came to this video to listen to the soundtrack of this level.
For those who live in New York... Is the interrior of this bank based pretty much identical to the Apple Bank Building in NYC? I remember first playing this and was like, "damn this level looks so familiar." It looks like the Apple Bank. It used to be called the Central Bank.
Secretcodrin It could possibly be inspired from the heisting video game series, Payday. Where you and a crew rob banks, stores, etc. The game allowed different masks usually comedic in a sense. I do believe that it could be inspired by other movies, (as Hollywood tends to use the masks a lot in these type of crime movies).
There are usually several references in any given level. In this one, there's a bit of Mission Impossible, several heist film tropes and the British comedy series, the IT Crowd.
The same way I'm able to make those mixes: I extracted the game files, but IOI have the (bad?) habit of leaving work-in-progress stuff in there. If you want a tutorial about how to do it, there's one in the Hitman modding thread on HMF.
