You missing da throw out bearing you have the throw out mount but you gotta press on the new bearing on it. Also you need the clutch line from the reservoir to clutch slave. Also you need to add resistors for your wiring harness to fool the computer to think the automatic is still there. It is easier if you swap the whole dash harness and speedo cluster from one with a manual. Also if you can get the manual floor center it is easier to just weld it in and then the center counsel will line up. Other than that looks good my bruddah! Good luck 🤙

According to the research I been doing in this period of time, I believe they are interchangeable. You just can't mate a transferase on the back of a 2wd trans though. It'll have to be a 4wd auto or 4wd manual 👍🏼
I had the same question. I have read the an auto tranny tcase will work in a manual tranny. My question is what about the shift levers? Because the shifter sits in the right side on the manual. Does the lever pivot? Or will i have to buy a lever with a different bend?
i want to buy a 1st gen tacoma but it sucks the crew can doesn't come wirh a manual transmission from factory thats why Ill like to swap it to a manual
Hey man question , what did you do driveshaft wise. Just picked up the manual driveshaft off a ext cab I measured the wheel base and they seemed to be the same . Do you know if it will fit off hand ?
The manual driveshaft is about an inch longer since the manual trans is shorter than the auto trans. I had a single piece drive shaft made and I accommodated that extra inch and asked them to make it an inch longer. Other wise you’d have to use a driveshaft spacer with the auto driveshaft on a manual trans but since you got a manual drive shaft you’ll be fine 👍🏼
a question friend I am in the sawp from automatic to Manual transmission but the brake pedal is very short did you use the same Automatic Booster or buy a different one thanks I await your answer
Sup man, I used the same booster. I didn’t swap out my brake pedal. I just cut it to length to where a “manual brake pedal pad” can fit over it. So it looks factory with the pad.
It’s advised to change them out because they “stretch” when torqued but personally I’ve reused pressure plate bolts in the past on my 240sx without any issue so it’s up to you at your own risk lol.
Depends how far out your slip yoke is at. They say general rule of thumb is supposed to be halfway in so it has room to move in and out whenever your rear suspension compresses/decompresses.

What about ECU? Not sure if main ECU or just the 4x4 ECU (or both) but I've heard that at least one of these needs to be swapped for a manual version.

I know man! That’s pretty much our only option to have a manual double cab 1st Gen, is to swap it lol.
I have a 99 tacoma pre runner super charged I want to swap to standard. Do I have to swap more then just the tranny?
Did you buy transmission mounts front and rear or just one of them? I am looking online and see front and rear mounts but they look identical.
There’s only one transmission Mount, which goes about right in the middle of the trans.

Should be the same concept, just may need to source specific parts for your year. I’m also not too sure if the 05+ have more electronics involved.
Besides the 5 speed transmission pedals flywheel what other parts are needed for the conversion ?
Clutch master, clutch lines, clutch slave. A lot of small misc. parts.

Cannot re use the same pressure plate bolts in the trans ? Sorry planning on changing my clutch soon but idk what kine parts i need exactly yet lol
