To answer your question, south africa hasn't been able to beat Ireland since 2016. They play this summer though
Ireland are a fantastic union team. I think a lot depends on the day for this sport. You dont bring your A game you will get run over. Between the top ten anyways. One thing i do love about the sport is the respect given to the ref. And the toughness of the players during the game which is usually forgotten after the whistle and hands are shaken. Amazing.

@@roybean7166 it went to extra time it was a great game. Toulouse scored with two Leinster players down one was injured and Lowe was off in sin bin. But we’re the smarter team and deserved the cup this year. Leinster were too naive. Trying to get maul tries when they should have been kicking goals also no Ireland didn’t lose. Leinster under Leo Cullen lost.

Check Brian O’Driscoll - best centre ever. The outhalf no.10 is like a QB, playmaker, kick, run or pass. The centres are a bit like wide receivers, but because of all passing by hand being backwards, they support the outhalf.

He was towards the end of his career there but that man was one hell of a player. It has to be remembered that rugby is a minority sport in Ireland, 4th behind gaelic football, hurling, and soccer. The population is a bit over 5 million, so the pool is small. The only reason that Ireland has a good rugby side is the way that rugby is managed in Ireland (the same reason why Ireland has a crap soccer team). Saffas and Kiwis live and breathe rugby, it's their majority sport by a fair margin.
Ireland are great but they don't have it in them to go all the way unfortunately. They have amazing skill and winning consistency but cannot truly take a team to the gutters in the moments that separate the great from the greatest. This is why New Zealand were always going to beat them in the quarters, it was only ever going to be South Africa and New Zealand in the final last year.

I couldn't believe that the irish fans thought it was in the bag before kick off, all week before the game was the same. Disrespect the all blacks at your own peril because when the a.b's were written off by the media i knew then that we would win knowing what that would do to the players, they would of left arms and legs out there to fight for the black jersey everyone was disrespecting, we didn't win the cup but it was one of the best for me, was super proud of the grit and fight they gave for new zealand.
Ireland is not the best team in the world, so get your facts right first. They're a good team, but are yet to dominate world rugby as the New Zealand All Blacks and South African Spring Boks have. A couple of good years for Ireland means nothing. It took Ireland over 100 years to beat the All Blacks and to get beaten again by the All Blacks at last years world cup,!!!
