I really like the tabs and snippets. You have encouraged me to start slow stitching, too. Years ago I did a lot of embroidery. I dug deep into my craft closet and pulled out lots of thread and fabric bits. I'm glad I held onto everything. So glad you say that there are "no stitching police" as I am a perfectionist and now I won't worry about my uneven stitches. I'm finding that the stitching has a calming effect (same as my knitting) and don't we all need calm!
Also I’m sitting here slow sitting with you, and I really appreciate how you explained way slow stitching is, I have a cat in my lap, and I’m just watching you stitch away. I love that we crafters have redeemed the airways! I sure hope TH-cam doesn’t ever change their policies!
Rachel, I so love that you can save even the tiniest scrap of fabric, mate it up with other scraps, sew them together, either into tabs, patches, or make snippet rolls and use them to add to junk journal pages or on ephemera. Each one of yours, become little art masterpieces. Enjoy.
I have been watching shabby dabby dooda for ideas and on her videos there are quite a few "this is a rachel one" gives me a chuckle, so here i am for more fun 🙂
Hi Rachel! Love your tabs and snippet rolls! I do enjoy watching you work with your fabrics so much, even your scraps! Thank you for the great video to enjoy.
What I love about watching you is that I can relate to what you say. I use to be such a perfectionist and you have helped me to see that imperfections are beautiful. It has really freed me. And I appreciated how you said to do what you feel. Because I have so many things that I need to do but it really is relaxing to sit and make my scraps into some lovely bits. Thank you.
Love love love...don’t care if we’ve done it before. It’s still great to see again. Love what you created today, Rachel, especially the tag toppers. TFS. C xx
2wks behind, but enjoyed watching you stitch. I use to do counted cross stitch...another hobby I went over board doing...lol..I do have a problem with clusters, I’m a little non abstract and a perfectionist about things..thanks for sharing...😻
OMG -- comment No. 3 (kinda rhymes). It worked -- like a charm -- I should have printed a test page, because the script is a little too large -- but the paper with hemp went straight through the printer with no issues at all -- I'm delighted -- and I used a different technique -- the spray adhesive was in the kitchen, and I didn't feel like wrestling with cats trying to escape to spray it outside, so I used a thin coat of modpodge, and did the same with ironing the fabric on after the MP was dry -- I also tape the borders with painter's tape -- it's from the dollar tree, and it keeps any string or lint getting into the printer -- you ARE the craft queen for the day !!
@@roxycreations679 inspired by you, fabric clusters but I don't know -- the result is awesome -- you're the craft genius -- I'm the genius recognizer -- ha -- think of something good -- honestly, I never would have thought of that, much less tried it on any material other than white or tea dyed fabric -- and I ran your 1600 pages on lightly tea dyed paper -- the result is amazing -- I'm literally going to frame the front page because it looks unbelievable -- and the one with the red ink, not on dark paper, but the lightly stained, looks like a vintage book -- what a gift you gave to share your find with us -- be well, my friend -- oh, and your kit was like five bucks -- lucky for us -- hope you get lots of buyers -- my goal is to figure out the filming, editing and posting of the videos -- which is what holds me back -- but I told my child, that can be his job - honestly, I know zip about any of this -- instagram seems like magic -- he's not working -- he's honestly tried to find other employment, and I made an appt. for him with unemployment, God downtown, get your Stephie to design some kind of personal shield that fits over your head and covers your entire body, and you'll be gazillionaires -- I'm hoping they'll do a phone interview instead --
This was fun I have a huge jar I keep throwing small pieces of fabric in, I bet I could make many snippet rolls. Thanks for the wonderful video Rachel, hope your having a fabulous week. Take care!
Hi Roxy new subscriber here! I had a total knee replacement last week and have been watching your videos which both relax and inspire me...thank you from Seattle, WA
These tabs are so gorgeous, in fact before you were half way through I'd sat down and started stitchin' right along side you. So much for dinner plans! Thanks for showing these to us. With love from the Southern California desert, MK ❤☀️🌵
hi Roxy Rachel, I hope your well, I lived in Melbourne for nearly 30 yrs, well between there and Tas...lol am now in the UK, I love your accent, and all the beautiful items you create, good on ya, xxx
I love it when you just wing it. Your so creative. I have some new lace and now I know what I need to do with it. Dye it. It’s beautiful lace but just looks to new.
I enjoyed this video very much! I may watch it again!! I always want to make more tabs, but never remember. These will be great to make in front of tv and I just love using up my scraps and trying a bit of hand stitching! Thanks so much for the inspiration. 😃❤️
sorry for comment No. 2 -- I'm working -- STILL --on my journals, so after I put in my little comment, my intention was to put down the keyboard and get all comfy and make some pockets and tags and watch you -- but I HAD to comment -- aren't you just the most clever girl !!! I would have never thought in a million years to print on hemp. I bought hemp from aliexpress -- when you were stuck at home -- I'm delighted with the texture, and see why you gravitate and purchase the antique hemp -- i would too, were it available -- I put a piece of cotton fabric through my printer and it worked well, so I'm going to try it -- if it breaks, it's still under warranty -- but Rachel, that is genius -- and even if you don't have hemp, tea dye heavier-wt cotton -- we call it duck cloth -- don't ask me why -- I go into the thrift store and find white broadcloth shirts in the largest men's sizes I can find -- I don't care if they have a logo on the pocket -- and use those for heavier printing -- that would work great -- you get the crown for best craft idea of the day -- including your so-cute clusters !!! I've been using your beautiful tags all last night and this morning so far -- they are PERFECT (which saves you from going straight to the hoosegow!) -- but the colors are beautiful, the size is perfect for like multi-layer pockets -- I love putting a small pocket on the back of a larger tag, and slipping one in that -- another thing I love, you know the little seed packs -- I hoard the grey ones with the clear front, but I sacrificed one of the others and took it apart as a template and now make my own -- I put a pocket on the front and one on the back and slit the side and slip a tag in there and the flap glued to the page to tip it in -- it is so cool -- your tags are perfect for that -- I know -- less commenting, more watching of the video -- ha -- hugs, Patricia
Love making projects with my snippets. You have reminded me it is time to do that again. Love adding the hand stitching and seadbeads too. Tfs Rachel. 💞🤗💕
Ciao Rachel, after a long time I finally found a seller in Germany who sends me the Giotto stick for an acceptable price!! The shipping costs from Italy are very expensive. And yes, you are right...the stick is marvelous and I love to use it 👍🏻👍🏻 It sticks all kind of paper very well and also fabrics and laces 🤩👏🏻🤩👏🏻 I'm glad that I ordered a couple of sticks... Wish you a nice Sunday 💝☀️💝☀️
Hi, Victoria -- I'm in the same boat -- the glue sticks cost about $3, but shipping to the US was around $25, and that was for one -- I was very excited when I read that gorilla glue made glue sticks which they claimed worked on fabrics -- so I ordered a case from Amazon -- it was like 20 sticks for $14 -- well, I was so excited when they arrived, and when I opened it, my hopes were immediately dashed -- they were all dried up -- I opened every one - I got the kids "goes on purple, dries clear" because it's the same formula as regular more expensive -- Amazon gave me a full refund, but I was so disappointed. I'm going to try buying some from a store and not online -- we can order online from Wal*Mart for a $9 delivery fee -- which has been a God send - so we can get groceries and household items -- if they have it in stock, I'll try again on my next order -- hope you are well, Patricia
3rscrafting JTB it's sound like a ’glue stick nightmare’ 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 You could try to find something else from Beacon or Tombow...I saw in many videos that these brands also make good glues!?!? Thank you, I'm well! Hope you too?? Hugs from Lake Constance in Germany
Hello Rachel , I don’t even know if you will ever see this as such an older video - I’ve been watching your daily videos on the TV then I just go straight to your last oldest video I watched & continue throughout the day ! It’s like my own private instructor!! I don’t really watch too many other video channels except Carol laws , Sharon Hearth , Wendy and a few others that are such a great “fit” for what I need to get my inspiration. Too many in my opinion have gone “high tech” if you will , adding music and speeding up & I get all confused . Anyway !! Love watching and remembering what I had forgotten about after my “addiction to creating them” and start making them again. I’ve so many “bits” and a great way to relax & not really have to think too much . SUCH A GREAT VIDEO 💕
Loved this, I stitched along adding to some of my fabric and paper clusters! Just like being at a crafters weekend. Sure miss those.its been a few years now! Thanks for sharing!😊😊
Kia ora / hi Rachel, gosh i was making more snippet rolls last week while watching you collage. I made mine from the thermal paper rolls used for cash registers & eftpos machines, i folded them in half, added my fabric & hand stiched 3 rows of running stitch. Like yours, these go nicely along the edge of a page. Great minds think alike...huh, anyway love all the stitching you have been doing lately & stay well x PS: i do like how you added words & numbers which i will do next time.
@@roxycreations679 I heard thermal paper causes cancer (doesn't everything?) Not worth experimenting when you can find rolls of regular paper. I care about all my favorite artists!!! (I care about everyone really) I just passed up a box of adding machine tape because it was white and not aged. Should I be hoarding these for all of us????
Love these little fabric tabs. They're so cute !! Again I haven't made these or a snippit roll, but will az soon as I get my current project finished. I'm making another jewelry chest out of a smallish cardboard box and smaller boxes ( corndog boxes and that size) it's almost finished !
Lovely Rachel, these snippet rolls are so pretty. I have never tried the tabs but have just got out my scraps to give them a go. Last night I tried hand sewing some fabric snippets but sadly in the light of day I think I’ll unpick them and machine sew, I just can’t seem to make them look nice.😏Thanks for the inspiration, my husband was sitting next to me while I was watching and joined in the conversation and laughed along with us. 💕😁
They are just so cute. Love the texture of the tans especially. Is it possible to show how you use them in a book and how you attach them to the page? It really proves you shouldn’t throw out even the scrappiest of pieces. Thanks for the video
LOVE watching this. I learn so much when I watch your videos. These appear to be quite simple and not very time consuming as well as thin and not bulky. What more could a junk journal maker ask for? Thank you! Take care!!
Oh,Rachel, Your straw paper is far too prescious here in the US! I use old book pages that are not appropriate for collage because of bad words.Sometimes I use the edges trimmed from book page. Those would be great for this tab project! Love so much what you say and do to encourage creativity in us all!
It was fun watching you! You have a soft voice, but I think I got the gist of this. Imagine having so much fun with scraps! Thank you for sharing. I'll be making some soon, Joyce p.s. I would love to find others that would like to swap fabric, lace and buttons preferably outside the USA. Do you know of a platform, maybe even a Facebook group, that does this?
One of the very best things about the perfection police is that they have a very short attention span......let me 'splain...........for those of us who are rather habitual at the not quite perfecto part of the crafting biz, they tire pretty quickly with the back and forthing to one place and give up in total frustration. So the moral of the story is...........don't be one of those just occasional messer uppers.😉😄
I love this video and I craft along with you. Do you have a digital kit that includes words? I love how you added words to your snippets but I am so bad at stamping on cloth! So I wondered if you have words in any of your digital kits.
Thank you I have been looking everywhere to see if I could hand stitch embellishments like this. I dont have a sewing machine. Can hand stitching be done to the snippet rolls also? And clusters with paper? Thank you 100x.
@@roxycreations679 omg yay awesome. Thank you so much for responding. I didnt want to try and it not work and mess up my project. I have never sewn anything before except the junk journal binding I watched a tutorial on and it was actually pretty easy, surprisingly. I cant get enough of your videos. Your my inspiration and I love your accent. Alabama USA here
Hi Rachel, I just did a search for the video where you mentioned printers. Couldn’t find it and need your advice. Can you direct me to it when you get a chance? Cheers and thank you 😊
Hi the paper strip ones. Could you see by hand. I don't have a sewing machine.well I just got one but no instructions. Can't download instructions to many problems . Would you need a stronger glue. Thank you
Ha -- you "think" you're getting off -- on behalf of the Secret Perfection Police, I make a citizen's arrest !! That's the good news -- the bad news: I'm having to arrest myself !! I was delighted to find this video when I logged in -- hope you are doing well -- boy, you guys do have the heat -- thank God we have a small break until Monday -- and lots and lots of rain, which I love. And I'm with you: William Carrier did not invent air conditioning for me to go out and swelter in the sun !!! Ha.
Well, it is Sunday night at 10:32 PM, and I'm probably jinxing it, but no fireworks -- no gunshots -- multiple people were shot, 2 died others wounded, and shots fired on police -- and how did you spend your Sat. night? -- anyway, there is a large police presence, but whatever the reason, I'm grateful for the peace. And the thing is - I don't live in a bad part of town. When we moved here in 2016, there is road traffic, but after awhile you don't hear it, and it's because we live off a connector street, but we live near a beautiful large city park and historic homes, and our little neighborhood was so friendly and quiet -- sometimes gun shots, but they started about 2018 -- now, this is my conversation with emergency services: hello -- I have no more information than this -- I just heard gun shots, more than six, from a manual gun, not automatic (I hate I know the difference). It sounds like it's coming from this direction, so if somebody is discovered dead tomorrow, you will know this was the time of death. Would you like to speak with an officer? No. I don't know more than that -- and then they'll usually say: oh, we're getting more calls. Protests were still happening over the weekend -- anyway -- not why I'm "commenting" -- thank you, from my heart, for sharing not only your adorable self and funny stories, but your talent and ideas and your incredible kits. I LOVE my new laser printer, but, it was not printing anywhere close to the 1500 pages it promised -- and the "cheap" refills were between $80 and $85 for just one color -- so I was mourning the loss of my wonderful Canon inkjet -- until, I was looking on eBay for maybe cheaper cartridges and kept seeing about toner that you refill the used cartridges -- it's a powder, not a liquid -- and I was out of yellow and down for the count -- so the toner was $9.99 free shipping !! I decided to splurge the ten bucks -- because you're supposed to be able to reset the chip that tells the printer its out of toner -- well, it didn't work because it wouldn't move past: low on yellow -- but I looked on youtube, found a tutorial of how to refill the cartridge for my model, and followed it by telling my kid what to do -- ha -- and reinstalled it -- it still says there's no toner, but it prints great !!! Well, afterward I went back to eBay to leave positive feedback for the seller, and it turns out, I purchased the toner from the same person who put up the video of how to refill it -- small world !!! And I printed out those antique pages from the 1600s book on lightly tea stained paper -- it looks so cool, plus, I'm an ironer, and I don't just iron, I use spray starch and then the papers smell really good -- but not only that -- I love digitals, and I say this all the time, but were it not for you, I'd not be doing paper crafting, and it's so much fun. I'm going to try to see if I can find someone to fix my inkjet printer -- it's still under warranty, but I don't know if paper jam is covered -- the paper wrapped around the roller bar, and I have almost 6 months' worth of ink I had just purchased.-- anyway, I wanted to drop in and say thanks so much. We're still trying to get to the country -- the realtor told me no one else is looking, but we have to get Tyler's unemployment settled, and the governor is asking the legislature to put off all evictions until 2021 -- but the owner of this property is receiving federal funds, which I'm glad, so they can't kick us out as long as the order is in place -- ours expires on Sept. 7th, but I'm not worried -- I should be, but why worry twice over the same issue -- again, a novella -- I've been watching you on the tv; your embroidery project is gorgeous how are you feeling? Better, I hope -- I also hope you survived the heat -- we've had really temperate weather this past week, but the heat comes back tomorrow -- I've got all the pages done on my journals and now I'm doing the "mass making" of tags and pockets, etc. ala Tina and YOU !! May your day be as blessed as you have blessed so many others -- Patricia PS: I'm driving my child crazy because I'm over the freaking moon printing on hemp -- and I stamped on it, too -- I can easily see why you purchase the vintage pieces when you can and why you reach for it -- it's a fascinating material -- I'm hoping with the new laws allowing growing hemp for things such as rope and fabrics, it will become more readily available here and not so expensive -- a yard was about $8 on Aliexpress, but I saw some advertised somewhere here for $30 a yard -- yikes !!!

Really liking the video endings with the review of what’s been done. Getting classier gal. 🎶🎶🎶
I thought I'd better learn!
Love these little fabric tabs. They're so cute !!
Again I haven't made these or a snippit roll, but will az soon as I get my current project finished. I'm making another jewelry chest out of a smallish cardboard box and smaller boxes ( corndog boxes and that size) it's almost finished !
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
I love these Rachel ! I’m going to do it! Ty for your inspiration,
I love everything you do. Hugs. Maggie.
❤️🤗🇨🇦❤️
Thank you so much!
Beautiful! As always.
Thank you so much!
Hi Roxy, this was so much fun thank you for sharing your great ideas.
Thank you so much!
I feel inspired by this. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
They are just so cute. Love the texture of the tans especially. Is it possible to show how you use them in a book and how you attach them to the page? It really proves you shouldn’t throw out even the scrappiest of pieces. Thanks for the video
Thanks so much 😊
You have such great ideas. I love the fabric cluster tabs. Thank u so much😍🌴
Thank you so much!
LOVE watching this. I learn so much when I watch your videos. These appear to be quite simple and not very time consuming as well as thin and not bulky. What more could a junk journal maker ask for? Thank you! Take care!!
Thank you so much!
Oh,Rachel, Your straw paper is far too prescious here in the US! I use old book pages that are not appropriate for collage because of bad words.Sometimes I use the edges trimmed from book page. Those would be great for this tab project! Love so much what you say and do to encourage creativity in us all!
Thank you so much!
Love these. Always enjoy your videos. Have a wonderful day
Thanks so much!
@@roxycreations679 you are most welcome

Thank you so much!
Hi from 🇦🇺❣so so sweet..
Thank you so much!
Thank you
You're welcome!
I really don't know which FB groups do that, possible Junk journal junkies but I'm not sure. Thank you so much!
Love it,
Thank you so much!
Where did you get the holder and all the threads. So cool. I wish I had that
You can find them at many sewing stores or I expect on Amazon
Loved this video tfs❤️
Thank you so much!
Love all of your stuff! Where did you get your paper trimmer? Stay safe
I bought it on Amazon. Thank you so much!
Wanderfull ideea
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
I love this video and I craft along with you. Do you have a digital kit that includes words? I love how you added words to your snippets but I am so bad at stamping on cloth! So I wondered if you have words in any of your digital kits.
I don't have any words in my kits. I may have to think about that one. Thank you so much!
Thank you I have been looking everywhere to see if I could hand stitch embellishments like this. I dont have a sewing machine. Can hand stitching be done to the snippet rolls also? And clusters with paper? Thank you 100x.
You can hand stitch on anything really.
Alabama USA here
Hold on! Let me put on my perfume first so I'll be ready to make these!! Hehehe lol these are super cute Rachel!
Hahaha, I can smell it from here! You are too funny!!! Thank you so much!
Hi Rachel, I just did a search for the video where you mentioned printers. Couldn’t find it and need your advice. Can you direct me to it when you get a chance? Cheers and thank you 😊
It's this video th-cam.com/video/yxknSZpbYBA/w-d-xo.html . Hugs Rachel
Roxy Creations Thank you so very much. It’s time...I will finally be able to purchase some of your printable journal kits. Yey 🙌
Bellissimi!!! 😊 How can You make that first knot on the floss? 🧐 I want to learn ti do It....I'm not really good at stiching.
Thank you so much!
Is the food coloring powder or liquid. There is a food coloring powder is why I ask.
It's liquid, I've never seen the powder one before.
Hi the paper strip ones. Could you see by hand. I don't have a sewing machine.well I just got one but no instructions. Can't download instructions to many problems . Would you need a stronger glue. Thank you
You can sew by and yes if you are not sewing make sure you put enough glue.
Thank you so very much. Much appreciated
I love this idea. (P.S. the background scraps on the table look like a racoon face!🤣)
Hahaha, funny! Thank you! 🤗
Ha.
I love the rain too, it doesn't seem to rain so much here.I love Sydney rain in pours down and for days on end!
It's still pretty hot here but the air con and fans help a lot! I hope you get your living situation sorted soon! my fingers are crossed!
I sew a lot but my scraps of fabric is boring compared to yours. from Brisbane Australia
Thank you so much!
Finding unusual fabric in Aus hard to be found..just boring spotlight..❣🇦🇺
