When this once staple product of US Mfg. was given away to China, they also inherited the dilemma of a continued demand for them. Plastic injection molding was, and is still replacing thousands of former steel products like this. Sheet metal enclosures will always be in demand, but not for products like this. That's a nice looking operation going on over there. Very good job making this video.

Poor buggers, doing that all day. Reminds me of the dying days of the 1980s when we (In Wales) had jobs like this, with a few robots bought second hand. I worked for the company that built the Olympic Stadium in London a few decades back. By then we were top of our game, then went bankrupt and the Chinese bought out the knowledge base and shut us down- thankfully I wasn't really affected as I'd moved on. Still it shows the work involved and why cases of quality cost so much.

Excellent video. I always wandered what China’s sweat shops looked like, now I know. Actually same thing over here. I go to lots of these type metals manufacturers around the country where automotive parts are stamped out and it’s interesting but not something I could see myself doing for long. Always has the same smell of metal burning in the air and it gets all over your cloths and into your pores. Lots of employees and shift work atmosphere going on. Im a Truck Driver with a Gaming PC in my Truck. I use a large Hot Spot WiFi device from TMobil , 2080Ti , 10900K in a small case. It Rocks and I can game every time I stop. It’s made trucking so much more fun.

14 years ago I was working in a PC parts importer where we were in a group around 15 to 20 people assembling PC cases. Their metal parts came already pre-made and our job was only riveting them, putting the cheap PSU, boxing and sending to the store. Boy they were so cheap and badly designed (PSU in front and above ... heh), watching this video seems nothing changed since then, only the number of people involved raised ...

Considering how expensive tooling is I’m surprised very few companies are going with a modular case design. This of course would destroy the case market for the shear #’s of cases available. Any company interested in this concept could simply offer 3 levels of modular cases. A $150ish system, $250 system and a no holds barred system. The lower levels could have additional add on pieces to make the basic model more affordable. The mid tier would also have options but have a more substantial amount of supplied parts. The top level would include everything possible. Most parts would be shared between the three levels with certain parts exclusive to each tier. It would be a benefit to manufacturers since tooling costs would be reduced. The downside would be there might not be as much repeat business for custom PC builders. It’s focus could be shifted to providing cases to the prebuilt market. This could reduce the number of case manufacturers and the companies left out could easily shift production to other markets. Audi already uses this concept in their 4 door saloon segment. Same Sausage.....different length and of course the appropriate power plant for that given Sausage length.

Cooler master is taking over 5 months to send me a replacement 200mm ARGB fan. Sad to say but I don’t think I’ll be buying anything made by them from this point moving forward. By far some of the slowest customer support I’ve ever had the nightmare of dealing with.

The powder coat spray guy is shortening his life after every spray. Maybe they wear the useless mask for your visit only otherwise the management will save on it. That's the reality in China thousands of peasants are waiting for this type of jobs. Very sad indeed. No safety at all.

Fractal Design, a case maker, sponsored the video about a rival case maker, Cooler Master? Isn't that a huge burn to Cooler Master who were gracious enough to let you in and learn their manufacturing process?

enough off us with the luxury car tax to compensate for it.
