Glavenus and Acidic Glavenus should have a Turf War with each other. It could be where they slowly walk around each other, staring each other down and swishing their tails against the ground. Then they lunge forward and lock tails, slicing them against each other like two jousting knights. One of them weakens, gets sliced on the neck and falls down. The one who loses is randomized.
Honestly, i think it was a miss oportunity by Capcom to not give a full fledge turf war animation to both. Like the swords clashing constantly and sharp/heat, before both separate. And to top it , make it something like if you weaken one and if both fight, the weaken one has its tail severed instead before the other try to kill it when the weaken one flee (could be use in your advantage for set a trap for capture). BUT also if both get weaken to certain point, both tails result severed from the clash before each go in oposite direction to flee.
I really loved how the 2 of them clashed frequently with many of their sword-tail attacks. Felt like moments in a swordsman's duel where the 2 warriors would clash blades.
I love that Glavenus just went "Enough" as he got mad, sealing the deal for that fight. It was not only incredibly close it was a wonder how evenly matched they were despite Acidic being weak to fire
You have to remember that the acid can cause defense down though. That applies to monsters as well, so acidic was weak to fire but the defense down of his acid balanced it out
I commend both monsters for doing their best in this particular match. This was a really close match and I like how both monsters used their own strengths to their advantage. In the end, by the time Acidic Glavenus was tired, it was over when Glavenus went into rage mode. I’m very happy that base Glavenus won this fight and showed Acid Glav who was the surperior swordsman. Granted this could have gone either way easily. Overall, I give this a 9. It’s not as close as the Scarred vs Brute fight, but to see both Glavenus fight to the death in a sword fight was truly a sight to behold.

An incredibly close battle of these titanic tail-blade masters. Acidic glavenus’ acid wasn’t something I was aware of and was surprised to see it do damage over time to vanilla Glavenus, kept me guessing the whole fight.
On that day, two warriors from the dawn of time crossed swords. One, once noble, now corrupted by a darkness older than even them. The other, a scion of hellfire, called by the cries of the suffering to be the necessary evil. A duel of two mighty blades. A glorious spectacle, even among monsters.
It’s tough sometimes to gauge these because while I find Acid Glav to be tougher because of the rotten vale environment and defense down I always felt like regular Glav is more aggressive overall

Acid had a great head start of 20% but Flame pulled off combos and Fire Attacks that made it get it's comeback. This was very close but most Sub-Species have a weakness to themselves (Best Example being Viper Tobi being weak to Electric Tobi)
I'd say the turning point of the fight was definitely around the 8 minute mark. Acidic Glavenus had a pretty good HP lead, but around this point in the fight it looks like he got exhausted. That gave regular Glavenus the opening he needed to close the gap.
Honestly what I enjoy about this fight is the fact that both Glavenus(es?) have really wide hitboxes, making the match enjoyable to watch. Because some matches are kinda bad due to enemies focusing the hunter with attacks, and usually missing each other.
Great fight👍🏿💯 Normal Glav seemed to have had a better calculated assault with mobility and patience. Acidic Glav couldn't deal with it, especially from the fire blast into the tail slam combos.

Acidic feels big. Normaly hes smaller then base Glavenus. 9:03 come on, that was the third Time you flinch him out of his Sharpening. 10:44 finaly! 20:13 damn so close. He was most of the time slightly superior, but sadly normal got some good Hits in at the End.
With that 700hp life-lead that Acidic had i thought for sure that that was pretty much it for Glavenus. But then he sharpened his tail at 17:25, loosing the advantage of the acid pools he throws... i thought 'this can still get very close' In the end, sharpening was the mistake Acidic made that cost him the match. Great fight. I'd love to see more of these figths between the regular and subspecies/variant monsters... though i think regular vs Coral Pukei would be a bit unfair :)
It's kinda funny to see Glav from getting his ass whooped, to literally mopping the floor with Acidic, only for the two to do a fair fight only for Glave to dominate it. And that final fireball, perfection
Maybe in the future try standing in a middle ground between the monsters instead of just hugging one, because there were sometimes where they would be more focused on getting a little distance from you or would go for short range bites when the other monster is like across the arena.
Glavenus mainly won because it has good timing for its moveset but yet while acidic glavenus had a good head start, if he got tired or toppled then glavenus would become enraged and lay an absolute smack down on him but eventually glavenus’s attacks could miss and this gives acid glavenus the chance to sharpen his tail and keep laying a combo on glavenus getting his lead back yet glavenus would get up and his tail would crystallize dropping his agility, plus glavenus has a significantly better range due to his sharpening attack and his fire attack which has a secondary explosion but yet outside that it completely makes a full cycle until one is laying on the ground dead. This fight makes both monsters more fearsome than they already are as well as shows their strength and experience in combat! (I saw the comments about turf wars so if capcom is watching this video and is reading this comment… please bring back bloodbath and hellblade and also make an actual realistic result in battle between the two because a normal diablos just treating a glavenus like an anjanath is a very unrealistic result between the two)
i loved mhw monster vs monster fight more than the sunbreak versions. it actually looks more real when monsters actually react and flinch to other monster attacks rather than monsters in sunbreak/rise tanking and ignoring everything
I was waiting so long for Acidic Glavenus to bite off the crystals, but it turns out it makes it worse... If Acidic kept the sulphur crystals, it would have completely won.
I had my bets on the normal Glavenus because the Acidic Glavenus is weak to fire plus it doesn't have a ranged projectile-based attack like the Glavenus' fireball attack that also leaves explosive slime on the ground that detonates and deals fire elemental damage. All things considered.

Normal glavenus is probably harder because of his burn attacks, but they aren't effective on other monsters.
