I don't understand why people dislike the new turtles look. But I do understand that they are to big though. They do kinda look like the love children of Venus De Milo and the hulk. I'm looking at you Raphael.
For me, my initial dislike came from the weird uncanny valley effect (the moment in the first movie where Mike removes his bandana/blindfold thingy scared the shit outta me, and considering how widely parodied it has become I was seemingly not alone in that!) but I've grown to like them now. Especially Raph "The Barbarian" ael.
Ett Gammalt Bergtroll very true, my big thing is that they are a bit large. But the size I can understand is used for intimidating. Giving a more realistic "what the hell are those" reation instead of "awww they're little green men, adorable".
Considering that they are much more powerful in this incarnation (being almost Hulk-like in physical prowess and bulletproof and stuff) it sorta fits. I really like how they made Raph much bigger, and Donnie much scrawnier, too.
Has anyone ever asked one of the actors who do get the ThreeZero treatment, and owns the figure themselves, how creepy/strange/whatever it feels to own a mini version of themselves? If not, someone should!
