That one girl: "It's very tacky". I don't think he was going for classy. That idea flew out the window when he christined it the love truck. Tacky was the order of the day and the show delivered.
Overhaulin' was way better. They actually worked on the engines and made the cars more reliable. Pimp My Ride just did cosmetic stuff and half of what they did was absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.

I think I'd rather have a wheelchair that's waterproof, with a convertible canopy, a temperature controlled seating system, a fan and a nice sound system lol (have I given this some thought? yes lol)
I would love to see some seriously pimped-out wheelchairs. Though I think to make it a full show, they should also make their homes more wheelchair-accessible in the most gaudy way possible. A good an imaginative architect could do some amazing things.
The FACTS team doesn't realize how big car culture is over here in the States. They would probably freak out if they did go to an old school car show in California & see all the low riders & work that goes into keeping those cars up. 😁

Not all of them think about sex, they just want to be seen in it. Seem mostly by people they don't know and will never see again. I don't get it but I'm Russian and new to American culture.

I've lived my whole life in the Chicago area and have only known a handful of people who saw their cars as anything more than a way to get from one place to another and I don't know anyone over 30 who ever even talks about their car unless there is something wrong with it.

That truck was definitely on its last legs; it was not well cared for, was beat up, and would likely need some DAMN expensive work done if he'd taken it to a garage. Now, not only does he basically get a whole new car put inside, new tires, new luxury features like AC, music, and upholstery, he also gets all the man-cave stuff too. And he didn't pay a dime, because he got put on TV.
