I'm late :) but I'm right there with you on small handhelds. I have a miyoo mini, a PSP go, an rp2+ and an rp3. As well as a switch oled, and a steamdeck.
I use fc3000 still in my work bag when on lunch. I don't use v90 so much (only every now and then) same as my psp. I use a dsi more to play a random game all the way trhough. I'd thought a dslite would have been a thing for you. I love the ds and still use it to this day. Smaller devices are very much pick up and play... Up to PlayStation is fine for me but mostly play GBA and GBC games
@@SonicLoveEmulation yep took my steam deck in work but ever one else wanted to play with it. Still got a few sales for steam I think.. yep DS games in a 3ds is in my opinion the best way to play. I used my SD for game cube and up and pc games. Best for it. I love the Zelda games but mario and sonic you can't go wrong.

I recommend take the one it came with out, put it away, back its box or whatever. Use a dif card, a brand name card like Samsung or Sandisk and flash that. This goes for any handheld that comes with a micro SD card. First, its always better to keep the stock card as is incase you need it. And, most of the time they come with generic no name cards that are way more prone to corrupt and fail.
Just one I had laying around I have ran out of sanddisk or Samsung Sd cards I would definitely get a new one to do this 128gb is more than enough to add almost all games for it
Would be curious on how your update goes to the 01Feb version. It basically broke the firmware on mine and needed to reflash. Menu stopped responding and I couldn't open the retroarch menu in game.

SLE, Please I dont understand what you did at this part, maybe I missed something you stated earlier. From what im seeing you went to Elements (D:) which I presume is your storage medium, and you retrieved important data from the Bios section( Bios SD Batoc) and pasted the data from that folder, into the Bios section of your Drive (H:). I followed everything you did before that part successfully, but now im stuck because I dont know where to get the data you had from your Bios SD Batoc section to proceed to the next step. Do you have any advice?
Once you have added batocera and booted it up, take the sd card back out and place it in to the ps and then it should have folder with bios and then just add the bios files to that folder
The original Sd card with games and bios on it? Do you still have it? If yes then pop the Sd card back in to the pc you can then copy the roms and bios on to your pc then pop the new Sd card in the pc and add the roms and bios in the relevant folders
Ive just installed onion os 5 mins ago and i can finally see the colors in gbc games! (Idk if it was a problem of my device or of the stock os but every gbc game was black and white) this video helped a lot ty!

Powkiddy makes me so sad. The quality of their products varies greatly. They're the most hit and miss producer of Handhelds I've ever come across. 😥
I definitely think they had a bad patch but it feels like the last few handhelds they are back on track

Believe it or not, I play the DS games on the steamdeck always playing on the Zelda games and sonic rush

Not sure never tried that but you can just flip Sd cards in port one, and then port 2 is for all the games normally

Yea to run some emulators a Google search for bios will point you in the right direction
