Yiruma, a popular Korean pianist and composer released the album [The Best Reminiscent 10th Anniversary] to commemorate 10th Anniversary. His most popular pieces include on the album including ‘River Flows in You’, ‘Kiss the Rain’ & ‘May Be’. Also includes 3 new tracks- ‘Infinia’, ‘Reminiscent’ & ‘Fairy Tale’.

Yiruma wrote this piece while he served the Navy which is a requirement in Korea. Being separated from his daughter for so long, the piece translates the pain he felt for not being able to be there for her. He speaks about this at his live performances

Yiruma is by far the best pianist that I have heard in such a long time. He takes the piano and gives it emotion and he can make it sing to you.. When you can make an instrument sing.. That is when you know you are good enough to be called a musician in the classical respect.

His daughter is only in Grade 2 so I don't think it's for her wedding, unless he meant in the future.

This is 9 years ago but I love this. I'm not usually into instrumental songs but piano is an exception.

His compositions are genius. They are not made to impress but to soothe and be loved. The hand movements are made to be coordinated, if you like playing Mozart you'll find that Yiruma's pieces when played is similar in fluidity.

everyone misunderstnad. his daughter name isnt loana.... her name is rowoon. Yirowoon in korean and Rowoon Yi in englsih. but korean always put Ah sounds in last when they call some one. so you have to CALL her "rowoonah" not "rowoon"... its same with japanese. japanese put "san" or "jjang" in name when they call... so this song real name is 로운아. its call her daughter... and in english sounds like that title... haha. loana...... its rowoonah be the loana for easy pronounce.
I saw him in concert a few weeks ago. He played this song and he pronounced it as "Loanna" in English. Maybe he pronounced it that way for his American audience and that's her English name. Regardless, it is a beautiful name and this song matches it perfectly.
At his concert he said Loanna was her american name!

Yiruma married Son Hye-Im on May 27, 2007.[4] The piece "27.May" is about his marriage to Son Hye-Im. ("27.May" was released on an album in 2003, though) Their daughter, Loanna, was born on Oct 7, 2007.[6]
On his spiritual viewpoint, Yiruma has stated, “I’m a Christian, and I am not a New-age artist. Most people misunderstand me.” In his album H.I.S Monologue (2006), the artist composed a piece titled, “Lord...Hold my Hand”.[7]
