"Sugar Shack" ... flashback to the song from the 60's. Great to see the progress of "power up and running" .... will soon to be running. Happy New Year.
I have faith in your work, looking forward to seeing NUMBER SIX IN THE STICKS coming ALIVE. Thanks for sharing all the hard work you have done on your solar system to generate power to the Cabin , the Sawmill Shed and the work shop. It will be great to see everything up and running on the Lord's Power. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and the fun you share around there. Fred and family.
Wire termination tips - Most newer connectors have a pressure plate the screw tightens down on. This makes them great for stranded wire, spade terminals and eyelet terminals. The problem is when you insert a solid wire, the connection is only on each side. The solution I have found is to bend a tight loop giving about three times more surface when it is tightened down. Another tip, if you don't have a Ferrell, wrap a couple of strands from scrap wire around the end of your wire to keep the strands together. Happy New Year
Wishing you and your family all the best this new year. Enjoy your videos, you make everything look easy even tho i know it can be challenging at times.
Dog gone it anyhow!!! I was ready to see bells and whistles and lights coming on!!! Oh well Happy New Year and may everything work like it's made to do!!! God Bless to You and all your Family!!!?
So close yet so far.!!! I had my fingers crossed for you. Gotta love the old firmware update to delay everything( those darn Windows computers). Anyway Happy New Year and one step closer.
Country view acres has a solar setup. He is able to use his cellphone. I dont remember if he had to do what they want you to do, but you might check his chanel out. Enjoy your videos...
Thanks. I am trying to avoid any use of computers or cell phones since service is sketchy. That’s one thing I dislike, the use of apps and computers. lol, I would just as soon take a beating than have to fool with technology. But, things aren’t the same anymore, so I will get someone to do it. If I did, I would probably have to admit myself, lol, because I would be fit-to be tied toward the end.

Bonne année M Richard et ta familles, tu travail bien et tu fait attention. D'un militaire retraité, je prendrais ta place demain matin ses juste un rêvé pour moi rendu a 67 ans.
Good Job Richard. A lot of work. I have plenty of the pc's. I just got another slim hp from Ebay. And I have a lot of computers upstairs and cases and so on. My little system for solar pannels was easy to hook on up. I have the charge controller and two six volt lights. I like the hp computer and use them. Paul in Ohio PS I would not have any problem grabbing one to help me wire up an internal contiential Ballistic Missle! Ha Ha Ha. The silos go deep into the earth. They have miles of wires and stuff to get the missles to launch. I C B M's on youtube. We had to close up a lot of these missle sites. People buy up the older missle silos and make neat stuff out of them. I was breathing in some cold air and my lungs just did not like it.
I really enjoyed the summary (and all videos, of course). I need to do the same kind of hookup at my place so this was informative to me. Do you have a book or online source to help educate yourself that you can share? I’ve looked at many sites, but found nothing that’s very concise. Anyway, happy 2025 from Japan 🇯🇵 🇨🇦
The purchase was made through Signature Solar. It came as a kit. EG4 6000 XP 48V split-phase inverter, 16 400 watt Bi-Facial panels, and 3 Lithium Ion 5K watt batteries. We purchased extra copper wire from them which doubled the reach since we have two points to serve. It came with instructions, but a lot of TH-cam and a recent discovery (SunTan Solar) made the batteries I think) and have found their videos pertaining to this unit very helpful. Thanks for watching
Thise wire staples what you hit to hart it will damage the wire,in Europa it is defenalite not aloud. But yeh every country its own laws right, nice job done.😊😊
Hope you have it right by now but you can use it as lead and put in you have 300 amp hours and it work fine Thay is what I have I v=have diffrent battery and it works fine
Richard I guess you are going to have to bite the bullet and buy you a windows computer to have to support your solar system. Because the updates and other configuration will need to be done on the computer, as several other TH-camrs found out, was also used Mac. It seems the Chinese do not have Mac support for their solar hardware. A couple of the content creators bought cheap window laptops that they only updating their solar hardware and doing the configuration. On the communication cable between the batteries and the controller what connector is on it, I know some use RJ45, and if that is the case it should not be hard to make up.
I will find a cheap one somewhere. I don’t like the fact they have it set up like that. I understand why, but they should be able to sell units that work without having to add computers in the loop. Just another step, another expense and if no service, then what?
@@SmokyMountainOutpost windows is the most dominant operating system that is used globally and Microsoft has made it easier to write apps for it operating system, unlike Apple which is very restrictive programming architecture. So they build their equipment based on a Microsoft software , you need a windows computer to do the update. I saw a terminal being updated by a tech, and when he booted it into administrative mode, it turned out it was running windows LoT, which is used widely used and you don’t even know it. As for the batteries and the inverter, regular updates I am sure is required , as they resolve issues and enhance performance on a regular bases.
You hook ur generator in to all in one and it will charge ur battery bank its built in so isn't all the brakers ur wasting a lot of $ on stuff u already paid for when you bought ur all in one read instructions that come with items
Happy New Year to SMO ! Wishing y’all the best in 2025 !

You could probably just set it to lead acid and use it till the update is done

Did it not work out for your buddies to come up and help you wire things up?
