Hori, try fishing change of light on the beaches. Especially around the evening. On the low and hi tides. Fishing during the day around here drastically reduces your chances of catching a decent fish. Makarori and northern Wainui should still have decent fish about.

We do fish Wainui and yes there are varieties of fish 🐠 there and of legal size but the cost of loosing gear is to high surfcasting, we just had two new fishing kayaks arrive yesterday so will be using them to fish Wainui and other places hopefully with better results 🛶🎣🐠

Lol same here everyone is wrapped up and here's me mate jumping in the 12 degrees water for a swim as people walk by 😂,
The cold aint so bad id almost say the colder waters addictive for that natural high.

We have burly and i have found that chicken 🐓 marinated in garlic seems to be working quite well at least in the river anyway, when the weather comes right i will try it in the ocean 🌊 I have actually tried mussel here in Gizzy with no results at all 😂😝😝😝
