I love exploring the world with you! New Zealand is beautiful and the again, so is Australia! Your videos are so good, it’s almost like being there. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures!
Great video, brings back memories I used to live on that lighthouse station when I was a young child my father was the lighthouse keeper. What a great day you had there for fishing, I can assure you the storms out there are legendary! 😮
Great days fishing, absolutely gorgeous environment and landscape- with an old lighthouse to boot. What a holiday... thanks Gido, for taking us on another 1/2 hour escape from the hells of living in 2024, your vids are much appreciated with the state of affairs here in the US lately. It's as if you are in a completely different world down there at the bottom of the planet, I hope you enjoy your adventures at least 1/2 as much as me, and I continue to live vicariously for a half-hour every once in a while, peace to you and your loved ones brother and Happy New Year!
My beach has none of the shots for videos like you get to see. It’s nice wide beaches here in Tolong Bay. On the other hand the commercial fishermen pull in an enormous amount of yellow fin tuna every day along with lots of other sea food that the Sulu Sea has to provide. The favorite dish here is dried fish, but I can’t get past the smell…lol. I’m saving up for a small boat so I can fish out where I see the big boys working. Hope you catch one of the big ones. Love the fishing, the views, and the videos you provide.
My guess is that you are seeing "salps" in the water. Although salps appear similar to jellyfish because of their simple body form and planktonic behavior, they are chordates: animals with dorsal nerve cords, related to vertebrates, animals with backbones. This means they are more closely related to humans than jellyfish! Without a clear image of what you lifted out of the water, they could be a variety of things that frequent sea water.
Glad you got a boat that can take a liking and keep on ticking! That Cat just wasn't sturdy enough. I'm working on my own 15 ft Tinny as you call them to fish the Chesapeake Bay in the USA. Best to you.
Its a must do isn’t it… New Zealand, I’m living in issan outback Thailand atm ,but I’m from Sydney, missing the rocks really bad 😮just heading out now to try for a giant snake head… pretty interesting fishing i guess, another great video mate.. living the dream champion love ya work 👍
I sure ain't a bot mate. Great to see another awesome upload mate. As always I'm looking forward to your next vid. Plus I'm still dreaming the day you and Field Days team up and go on a crazy fishing adventure 🤙🏽
Gido Gido Gido another awesome video, great footage, just fantastic. Shame you can't find the the king's, to mamy snapper pushing them out haha. Thanks again waiting on the next one.
I'm fushing KI this week and the Kingies have arrived and are hitting lures and even metals. Rats on the north coast. The big boys are on the south coast, they penetrate inside the reefs in numbers of 3 or 4 and then bomb along the inside of the reef and then pivot and go out to sea, so much fun.
@@gidosfishingadventures Now until about March should be good but you randomly lose about 50% of the days to 30+ kph southerlies. Next few days are flat as and perfect conditions. I hope to keep going around the coast and do some big WA trips before winter! From your homebase up into the subtropic coast.
Hello, I'm your fan and a fishing lover, I live in Brazil and I would like to ask you to activate the subtitles in Portuguese, so that we, your Brazilian listeners, can better understand your adventures,
should've put that kahawai straight back out as live bait mate... they handle a bit of wind and current way better than those little live baits and much more likely to swim out wide and get nailed... real shame you didn't get amongst our big tank kingis off the rock... nothing beats it in my opinion.
I think I was a bit over the live baits by then. I’d had trevally and another live bait that kings are supposed to love. Forgot their name as well as a few kahawai out under a balloon for a few days in a row at that point. I heard reports that the kings were scarce then and came in a bit later. The trip was in November. Guess I’ll just have to come back again then
They are not Red Snapper. They’re just Snapper. Red Snapper are native to the Atlantic Ocean and not the western Pacific zone. You won’t find them here.
@@teeanahera8949 You might say aubergine, but I say eggplant. When I pull big pink looking Snapper just off the coast Kangaroo Island everyone I know calls it a Red.

Not just a talented fisherman but a real artist with a great eye for capturing nature at its most beautiful.
Thanks Gido.

That drone shot at the end was incredible, what a place. Sometimes the target species don't want to play.

Youve gotta come back and do a three kings or ranfurly banks trip - 30 - 40kg all day
Ive fished off that rock before Gido got some solid kings and change of light donkey snapper
Hi Gido.
Kind of looks like Mokohinau Islands. Great jigging offshore for Kings there ..
Haha .. just saw the sign for the Mokes
Yes, I did some jigging on the kayak on the last day

What kayak you using mate?
Cool vid
Where abouts in NZ is this bro? Burgess Island up Northland?
Gido those clear jelly like things are Salps. Quite common here in summer.

@17:00 Calves looking jacked!
Decades of hiking and hills haha
lesgoooo how’s that for timing
The fish line up to get a selfi with Gido.
Can't get away from snapper in NZ. I even caught them on floating stick baits 😂
Borderline pests 🤣
Looks like you have feet like me, I just probably couldn’t put up with a cold
Do you do any fishing in Tasmania?
I haven’t fished in Tasmania yet. Have done some amazing hikes in SW Tasmania many years ago

First time ive seen those live bait pools, are they an NZ thing?
I think they are just a cheap kids pool. Frank bought 2 for the trip. Not sure where he bought them

Hows the lack of slipperyness on the nz rocks

Isn’t it sad they haven’t kept the tram lines restored? How cool would that be?
It would be cool. But its also nice to see the vegetation taking it back
