With the title, I thought this was going to be how to change multiple slider values, like the bend in fingers all at once. I had just figured out how to quickly select all 12 bones of the long fingers and bend them all at the same time, speeding up hand posing. This turned out to be another shortcut that I didn't know. Thanks!
Been using this for years, but rarely use it, because even if I save a custom character the colour change to sliders is not saved, so I have to do it every time I load a character or asset. I also wish daz would add changing the colour of the text in the library tree, as that would make it easier to find certain things.
This is so much easier then my workflow, I did sort all my morph sliders from the data folder and then did a batch text code edit on all sorted duf files at once, but this methode is much faster and more efficient. Thank you so much, I’m gonna build this technique in my routine for sure! Thank you Jay & Chris!
Hello Jay, I know this is an old video, but like another commentator here, every time I change the color of a slider in the parameters, it does not save the changes when I reopen the program, with the same project or another one. The sliders color I'm trying to change is in the Parameters tab --> Pose Controls --> Head --> Eyes --> (Eyes look up-down / Eyes look side-side). Daz 4.22, and now 4.23. Any tips or clues would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
Hi My Friend. Thanks again for more great information. Tell me, do you think there is any one person at Daz, that knows EVERYTHING about Daz Studio?? 🤔 🤷
I don't think that is true of any company short of a solo developer with a small and highly maintained codebase. You're talking thousands if not millions of lines of code produced by multiple people over multiple years, and while I think there are those with a fairly comprehensive idea of how it all works you'll always wind up with 'outliers' of things it can do which weren't intended. Case in point, back when I was rendering in 3DL there was a persistent problem with 'mouth glow' that I looked for multiple workarounds to try to deal with. Out of curiosity I ended up seeing what happens if you removed limits on a point light and drove it into the negative range figuring one of three things would happen. Either it would work, it wouldn't work, or it'd crash the system. It worked and effectively made a light 'sponge'. Pretty sure that never got documented anywhere.
Sadly the favourites are not persistent, then can't be saved with a scene file. You can either save them out into a custom folder in your library, or you can setup shortcuts on the menu or the toolbar. I don't have a tutorial on on my channel, but Google explains how to do that.
If you are talking about Gen 9 opening in the feminine shape every time it loads, open gen 9 and dial up feminine. Hit memorize figure (sets its current state to the default shape) and then go to depreciated and hit 'save modified assets'. It 'should' make the figure load now everytime in the feminine configuration. It is basically the same idea of saving as a character except on the base mesh. Note: I put 'should' since I'm still running an older version of Daz that plays nicely with my older OS.
Hello Jay! I have an issue I hope you can solve. Normally when I use DazStudio (it's the 4.21, 64 bit version), in many of the various parameters, I will enter a numeric value, then hit ENTER, and the number will change to what I entered. Lately, that has not been the case. Every time I enter a number, it will return to the number I may have set by the slider adjusters, which work fine. So short explanation, the sliders work, but manually entering a number does no good. It seems the same, regardless of whatever parameters I use. it is also worth mentioning that as far as I can tell, none of the little padlock icons are in the LOCKED position. HELP! Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
Surfaces are different as they don't have the properties of morphs and controllers. The Shaping Tab is just a filter of the Parameters tab, so it'll work the same.
Btw in the Enviroment settings you cannot change the slider colours after daz studio 5.21. this annoys me as you have cannot alter any of the parameters in there, i have reported this bug, and now wont update until its fixed.

Yeah like the body duilder morph right. It changes body builder details and body builder scale at the same time.
Yet again you make my day easier. Thank you good sir.

For me it saves the changes perfectly fine. Content creators wouldn’t be able to sell products with such customised settings otherwise.

Maybe Josh? I think he’s your man 🤩

How I can save for example the feminine shape on Genesis 9 to favorites, I use the heart icon but it not stay if a open a new scene or close daz.

This is just for the Parameters Tab. How about the other tabs? Surfaces, Shaping, etc.

Indeed, it's expected behaviour. Customisation only work on sliders in the Parameters tab.
