Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with 0 lever closed
- lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, 2 ,& 3 guard blend up
- Clipper over comb
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

I see a lot of people that comment they messed up or couldn’t do it, word of advice stay at it! I was hesitant on doing it. Went out bought some good clippers combo set got my ring light and my 3 way mirror and been at it. I can honestly I successfully did my own hair. Yes it wasn’t perfect but I had no lines and walked around proud with my hair. I do have a lot to work on but when the kids are asleep I’m on here watching all these videos and practicing. Who knows where this takes me. Thank you for the knowledge and the opportunity to learn something new.

I just got my JLR FF 2020 with the basic taper blade on it. My question is which guards should I buy for them? and im gonna pretty much zero gap the blade

It’s all in the practice and with time you’ll get faster naturally.
Great cut! Question: for the last guideline, when you use the three step process. You start with a 0 lever closed position. Doesn't that just take the guideline higher? Because that's what you cut the very first guideline with.
thats what i was thinking would i go onto opening it w bit or start with 0 closed again
