    Hey there! Just wanted to share my experience with the video. While trying to follow along, I ran into an issue where I couldn't activate email because the MX record wasn't covered in the tutorial. Now, without setting up the MX record properly, I couldn't move forward with the setup. It's a crucial step in configuring email services associated with your domain, and unfortunately, it was missing from the video.

    I get a fail on MX record (red) however it is still added to the verified email names and still works. Might be worth pointing that out :)

    what MX Record do I need to use

    • @Cloudways

      Hi @Ender_gamer28742,
      If you are using an email service, you can utilize MX records. If not, you can add dummy records solely for verification purposes.
      Please add this MX record to your DNS Manager.
      Records MX
      Host/Name @ or left blank
      Value: mx1.emailsrvr.com
      priority: 10
      TTL: 3600 seconds or lowest allowed
      You can also check this article for adding details for MX records
      support.cloudways.com/en/articles/5130879-how-to-activate-the-elastic-email-add-on?id=932966&data1=youtube&data2=elasticemail_tutorial
      If you are using Rackspace email or Gsuite, you have MX record already configured with it and don't have to point any additional records. If you don't have a Mailbox you can use inexpensive Rackspace email add-on on Cloudways. Here is the detailed tutorial for it.

    When verifying my domain for elastic email, how do I do this without messing up my current host email settings?
    Example:
    I have Zoho email SMTP settings in use on my DNS settings for my domain - I also host 2 emails from this domain on Zoho.
    Since I would be using Elastic Email for SMTP, would I just replace the current settings from SMTP (Zoho) in my DNS to the Elastic Email settings ONLY?
    I’m not sure if I’m typing it correctly, but I basically setup Zoho SMTP with my domain but want to keep hosting my email with Zoho and use Elastic Email for SMTP only.
    How do I do this without ruining my email host? Do I just replace the Zoho settings in DNS records with Elastic Email instead and this will keep my email hosting with Zoho?
    Basically I want to make sure anyone can email me to my Zoho hosted email address and I can message them directly, while allowing one of those email addresses to work with Elastic Email to send woocommerce email notifications and new order emails to myself.
    I prefer not to touch my DNS settings yet until I know I won’t lose my email hosting with Zoho thanks!

      @TheRateDMX
      Yes there is no restrictions to use SMTP plugin but SMTP service should be in place like Elastic email etc

    I tried to use this even after verifying my domain this still did not send a test email to my domain. Is this supposed to work with Google Workspace? I canceled my server, but willing to try this again. I would rather use Elastic email if I have a choice and use Cloudways if I have the option.

    I think this is a great feature and tutorial. However if you have 70 websites and let's say, some stop sending emails for a reason, you have no way to know. Unless you read every report every few days. It would be great if there was a feature that you receive an email notification if there is any connection issue with the email delivery :)

      @marianorojo
      At the moment the max we are providing the package of 1M emails not more than this, to upgrade it further you need to purchase the plan directly from Elastic email.
      Further You can find the pricing and plans here:
