  • Had to rebuild my clutch master cylinder to fix my clutch problem. The clutch was not fully releasing do to the master not letting fluid return to it at times. This was causing my clutch to slip and made the bike un-ridable.
    My Gopro battery died just short of finishing the Video. Sorry about that.
    Only thing missing is topping off the master one last time and putting the cap back on it in the reverse order of how it was removed earlier in the video.
    And then testing it to make sure the clutch worked as it should, and it does now. No more slipping, clutch works like new again!
    Hope this helped you guys out.
    Sorry for the long video. I'm not the greatest at this stuff and my video editing software is crap and I was not able to edit this the way I wanted to.
    So this will have to do. Open to suggestion on video editing software thats not junk or crazy expensive!
    Thanks for watching!

    So my clutch leaver won't pull in at all. I saw your other video with the similar problem but I skipped through it a bit so I may have missed parts...
    Is this what mine needs?

      Yeah it very well could be the clutch master has a problem. I cant be sure without actually looking at the bike though.

    i may have missed some points, but i had a return issue on my harley brake lever. just needed some whte lith grease sprayed onto the boot. thats all you may have needed to do🤷‍♂️. and this was your last Vaquero video. did you sell her or what?

    • @BadmunkyWRX
      @BadmunkyWRX  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I tried that, but the problem was internal. So that did not fix the problem at all.
      I did not sell it. I just have not made any new content as my camera was stolen last year at a group ride event.
      And I had a bunch of content on the cameras flash card I had not pulled off and edited yet. And this really killed my motivation to make new content.
      I will try and post some new stuff when I get the funds together for a new camera, and some new editing software that does not take hours to compile a 15 minute video.
      I have also been working a lot this year, so I have not posted hardly anything new.

    Thanks for the guide! unfortunately I have the opposite problem, even with the lever pulled all the way in, it seems the clutch isn't fully disengaging. Either way, this is good to know.

      Sounds like you might have a failed slave cylinder or blown seal in the master.

    Why not use the drill press to open up the snap-ring holes enough to get the pliers in?

    • @BadmunkyWRX
      @BadmunkyWRX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is not a lot of material there and I was worried the snap ring would just snap at the hole leaving it stuck in there.
      Also no go way to clamp the master cylinder in place without marking it up with what I had on hand. Want I did took a little longer but it worked.
      I'm about to do another one here in a day or 2 as I just bought an identical bike for my wife, and it is showing signs of the clutch master failing as well so I have the parts on order to do that one as well.

      After fixing the master cylinder did the friction zone on the clutch engage sooner or do you still have to release the clutch quite a bit before it engages?

    • @BadmunkyWRX
      @BadmunkyWRX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@treylarsen9347 it's better, but still farther out than I would like.
      But not at the very end of the lever like before.
      And it's for sure easier to use and a lot smoother now.
