The parents did come off as strict but I noticed that one of the boys had ear piercings. I'm a Christian and grew up Christian and in my home we viewed Tattoos and piercings as an insult to our bodies and to God, so to me it seems like in that household that if you work and show that you want something you'll get it. That to me is the most important lesson in life that any parent could teach their children that so many kids lack nowadays

The mom sharing her childhood trauma of her dad was definitely Stacey’s turning point. These people had been through trauma, took their trauma, and grew from it. They became the parents they wished they had. And I think that’s what made them so understanding and compassionate towards these kids. They’re strict, but not unreasonable. By far my favorite family.

The few other episodes I've seen where the parents force the kids to remove their piercings have to do with the school rules on the days they go to school. Since these kids didn't have to go to school during their stay, it didn't come up. There could be other reasons, but just think it's because none of the activities they chose for their stay required removing the piercings.
