In case anyone was wondering, families like this do exist. Met alot of kids raised like this when I went to college in Tennessee and it was great. If everyone had families like this, I think we would have way less issues in the country and in the world.
one thing i did really like about the american family is they didnt have "girl jobs" and "boy jobs" (atleast as far as ive watched right now) they made both kids do yard work and both kids work out, usually id expect them to make the girl wash dishes or whatever
The only thing that I didn’t like is that this behavior often causes problems with the kids bc they believe they will never be good enough and that it’s not ok to make mistakes.
The quickness of their better behavior shows that some fault was in the teens parents. Teens can quickly be influenced form what environment they are raised in.
its so nice seeing these parents genuinely care and want what's best for these teens rather than being control hungry like some other parents who force their ways on others

I wanna talk about Micah’s mother’s house cuz it looks so cozy and warm. Looks like an actual Harry Potter character would live there.
Exactly, reminds me of the burrow
Not that the family would know lol
@@ophelia4825 😂
it was absolutely the way that they gave them attention while still teaching and giving "punishments" (the exercise is so much better than how i'd be treated), it's really sweet and what parenting should be
yea i agree but i also disagree with them not letting their kids watch harry potter
I'd like it better if they never get punishments.
i actually really like the mum in this one, yeah there's some dumb stuff like not watching certain shows or movies, but overall she seems very supportive and can understand the way the youth feel. very cool
I kinda like that the parents understand that it’s not like you can just stop smoking. I think it’s cool that they offer nicotine gum and patches
EDIT: thanks for the likes guys
Yeah, I've never smoked, but from what I understand you can't go cold turkey on it, so that was very thoughtful of them.

That is the one thing where I rolled my eyes. Otherwise the mum is so together!
This is actually very true. Finally glad to see parents stand up and tell the truth
Have you seen the rabid fan base progress over the years? The mum's right to opt out of the lunacy.
i feel so bad for the mum having to go through that with her dad, trying to help other teens be better was so amazing.
One person who stood out for me was the Christian mom, she was filled with love, grace and compassion. Exactly what the children needed
Especially the hug Micah received when admitting the truth

I really love how instead of being overly mean or harsh or controlling the parents showed the kids that they really cared about them. They showed them what was wrong and instead of yelling at them they showed them compassion and taught them to be guilty of their wrongdoings.
In case anyone was wondering, families like this do exist. Met alot of kids raised like this when I went to college in Tennessee and it was great. If everyone had families like this, I think we would have way less issues in the country and in the world.
I agree
My foster family were like this. I still keep in toycb with them alot.
Except not letting them watch Harry potter or The Wizard of Oz
They are too controlling and were just moulding them to be able to live their dreams through them. Otherwise I saw no issues.

It's good character.
She probably wanted them to know she doesn't follow their rules

The quickness of their better behavior shows that some fault was in the teens parents. Teens can quickly be influenced form what environment they are raised in.

She should have been rewarded for her honesty. This way there’s a balance of punishment but acknowledged her honesty.
I disagree. Once kids are taught right from wrong, doing the right thing should be expected, and shouldn’t need to be rewarded. These kids don’t get participation trophies like some others.
