Oh man, did I miss listening to Sam, Kirk, and Anthony talk about movies in general.

0:59 Here's the thing, Holograms in Star Wars DO have color. They weren't primarily blue-colored until the prequel trilogy, in the original trilogy they had color.

Only reason for that scene in solo, was so that every Star Wars movie has a lightsaber in it

I didn't even think about the hologram not staying blue, and this is coming from someone who actually liked the cameo
And yes, if Coca-Cola can be canon, then Chewie McGregor can be too

I knew Maul had returned despite not watching Rebels but my mouth just gaped open when he removed his hood in Solo. I was very surprised he was included in the final product.
Doesn’t make that average film better.

What was even the point of the Maul cameo? And this is coming from a Clone Wars fan.

Indiana Solo And the Fellowship of the Ewoks When Maul was revealed nobody in the theater said a word except for a teenager who put his hands in the air.

To give people something to talk about with this film. Cos I sure as hell cant remember anything else about it 😎

Sealion Studios That’s the only justification I can think of for that cameo because I can’t remember anything else either!

Indiana Solo And the Fellowship of the Ewoks The closest to anything memorable in the film would probably have been Donald Glovers Lando Calrission but Billy Dee's coming back for TROS so now that's kinda worthless too lol

Darth Maul’s return was one of the most embarrassing, desperate, lame things I’ve seen from a big budget blockbuster this decade. I thought Solo was a meh movie, with a pretty solid third act... but that reveal was so lame, it was like something out of Suicide Squad

I know I'm gonna piss people off but I'm very happy the anthology series got canned.
For a series literally titled an "anthology" series and were initially conceived to be more experimental and riskier films, its shocking to me that both RO and Solo were just terribly written films so clearly created with the intent to just shove a bunch of fan service in our faces to try and make some extra cash alongside the saga films.
Say what you will about TFA and TLJ, at least those films honestly tried to tell new stories and any fan service (for the most part) was in those films for a reason. The scene from TLJ with Yoda being a fantastic example.
Regarding Chewie McGregor; I think that's better saved for a Legends story as opposed to Canon lol.

Meh, still wasn’t a fan of how they executed everything in TLJ

IT-Saac Studios Oh, I would never call TLJ a perfect film but it was still a good enough one. For me anyway. Especially that scene between Yoda and Luke.
      Nice username, by the way.

Sealion Studios Like I couldn’t really agree with almost any story decision in the movie, Luke meeting R2 was probably the only scene I liked. My problem with TLJ comes from the fact the whole story seems so absurd and confusing. I didn’t like how they exaggerated Yoda as a Force Ghost to Luke that he could make physical contact. Tho I get that the film was trying to create an emotional storyline for a lot of its characters, it missed a lot of marks. At least to me.
      Thanks lol

Sealion Studios I will say this: While they were both definitely cash grabs, RO was still an enjoyable movie on its own (well for me anyways). Solo was just a boring, dull cash grab.
That being said, TFA & TLJ were both much better than the spinoffs.

      @IT-SaacStudios 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Indiana Solo And the Fellowship of the Ewoks Oh I agree, they feel more like cash grabs than the ST but I still hesitate to say TLJ is better because it had too many risks I didn’t agree with.

Maybe they could've avoided to put Darth Maul in Rebels or at least show his rise to crime, and then have the cameo in Solo be a genuine surprise and a set-up for the Obi-Wan movie where we'll get the final confrontation between the two.
...But that requires Disney to have a single braincell in their greedy hack minds.
