how does it get to mysuru from smvt though, via yeshvanthpur? or do they change cabins and take it directly through cantonment

From 5th April, the train will take the same path as the 20607 / 20608 Chennai Mysuru VB and will not go to SMVT. Currently Mysuru doesn't have maintenance facility hence the train is terminating at SMVT

Why do these stop at Katpadi?
Why can't there be a non stop service from Chennai Central to Whitefield/KR Puram?
Isn't Shatabdi enough for the same?(Katpadi halt).
We must raise a demand to make these VB services non stop till Whitefield/KR Puram,this makes their purpose served and also Bangalore East people can get down at Whitefield and then go instead of coming all the way to Majestic(This is for 20607/20608).
This train must be made non stop from Chennai Central to Whitefield and not stop at KR Puram as KR Puram is highly congested during peak hours and people from this train will further add to traffic.
Just three stops,Whitefield,Majestic and Mysuru.(They can board metro at WFD and then go to their respective places).
That serves the purpose of VB and reduces travel time for Chennai-Bengaluru people.
We must raise voice and ensure such expensive trains have their true purpose served instead of simply increasing travel time for everyone

Krishnarajapuram will be an interchange station in future with metro trains and it will have easy access to metro compared to Whitefield so makes sense to have a stop here. I agree with you on Katpadi part. Hopefully once the section between Krishnarajapuram & Jolarpettai is approved for 130 Kmph. Journey time will come down under 3.5 hours ( Chennai - Krishnarajapuram ).
