This series has come a long way since this episode. I laughed a little at the camera quality. All in good fun. I hope to make the trip out there next summer and get this high point as well as step foot in Arkansas, one of the 9 states I have yet to visit.
I too laugh/ cringe a bit. This was the very first highpointing thing I ever filmed. It's rough as hell but the structure was sound. I'm really hoping to get back to Arkansas soon to redo this episode.
Amazing Scenery😀 Reminds of the view from Top of the Rock near Hollister, MO. The elevations of the Ozarks high points may be modest, but the views are beyond amazing😀
I've been on Magazine Mountain three times. The first was before I realized it was a state highpoint and I wasn't trying to hit high points at that time so I didn't make the hike to the summit. So last year I went to do the summit and stopped at the south overlook and my truck wouldn't start when I went to drive to the lodge to do the hike. Had to get it towed from Magazine Mountain to Clarksville where I was staying and the rest of that trip was a dud. So I made another trek out there in October and finally made it to the summit.
I think the sheer isolation of this mountain makes it interesting (and the fact that it has a good view from those cliffs). Next time I do a cross country road-trip, I feel like this is a good reason to try I-40 instead of I-70. Though, Kansas has the Castle Rock Badlands, so there's give and take.
One of the many shortcomings of this episode. All I can say is it was the first I ever filmed in this series years ago and when I re-film it it'll be a lot more thorough.
@@RooftopsofAmerica Sorry if I came off arrogant, I was more curious then anything else. I've since watched several other of your videos and absolutely enjoy them.
My first official one was Indiana, though I'd been up Timms Hill as a kid since I grew up near it. In regards to this series this was the first one I ever filmed. Cheers!
It is and has been pointed out a few times since this episode was filmed seven years ago. At some point I'll redo it with updated pronunciation. Thanks for watching! Cheers!

It's on my list and revisit this peak sometime in the next few years. That area is very cool!

Third time's the charm! That's a solid highpointing story!
Beautiful mountain in Arkansas man thanks for the advice.

There is a lot of hidden treasures in that part of Arkansas that I discovered after I had filmed this. It is a beautiful part of the state.
I would recommend while in Arkansas heading North off of I 40 to the Buffalo National River. It's the most beautiful part of Arkansas in my opinion.
I’m not visiting the high point until I hear about it from Sky first.
That's awfully kind, but don't let me slow down your highpointing adventure!
You make a video about summit hiking a mountain and do not share video from the summit?
