I love seeing all the patterns in your files. I, too, file mostly by holidays and seasons but I do have all my Prairie Schoolers on one file. Your grandmother's flower garden quilt is beautiful and will be an heirloom some day. Have a wonderful time at the retreat!
Thank you so much for a most enjoyable hour with you. You are such easy company and share great things. Love your new/old rocking horse! Your hexagon quilt is wonderful! After a lifetime in quilt making (and viewing quilts) I can honestly say that I have never seen one like your version! It is unique and beautiful, please continue. It reminds me of William Morris and Liberty of London fabrics combined ~rich and beautiful ❤️. I am looking forward to your next visit.💕
Thank you Jeana. I usually jump in on a new project without knowing much about it. I figure I'll learn as I go. Sometimes it works out, some times not so much!
I do enjoy English paper piecing and thus Grandmother's Flower Garden. I make all sorts of goodies with those hexis. But, have that baby quilted and finish it as a quilt whatever size it is! Those who finish a Grandmother's Flower Garden are held in amazement! That might as well be you😅😅😅 I adored the Peacock Manor that came in the Just Cross Stitch magazine too. I'm definitely going to be doing that one. Good to see you, Girlfriend 😁
I too love the Blue Flower Squirrels! Happy Anniversary! Our 48th will be June 14. We are High School Sweethearts! For your red case I always have a small tube or Neosporin, as I always seem to get small cuts and scrapes! Also breath mints, small baggies and Kleenex. Hugs to you and Tootie!!! Your Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt is beautiful!!!
Love your quilt! It looks so vintage with the fabrics you have chosen! That stitching case is going to be the hit of Weekend B! You will be like Mary Poppins with everything you need packed in there! I’m sure that there will be people needing something you have in that case!
I have so many stitched pieces completed but not FFO-ed, so I got a bit of a chuckle when you showed a piece from 10 years ago that you just framed. There's hope for me yet that, one day, I may actually FFO something 😂. Your flower garden quilt is beautiful! I like how it looks with all green around the flowers. Happy stitching!
I’m currently working on a Grandmother flower garden, too. I love English paper piecing. It’s very relaxing. Mine are 1 inch hexagons with 30’s reproductions. I might get it done one of these days 😮
There is no wrong way to do a quilt. You have inspired me to go pull out my grandmother flower garden quilt and work on it. Mine has a double row on flower and only white between. Look forward to your next post.
I love your grandmothers flower garden. There is no wrong with these. I made a quilt like this a few years ago. So much work but so beautiful when you are finished. You will be happy if you finish up i to a quilt. Mine is about 60x60 and looks so cute on my ladder. Yours looks so vintage and is just beautiful.
Yes everything is good. I've had issues with my back and knee so haven't been spending much time doing "fun stuff"! told my husband this morning I needed to get a video made so will try to get it made I the next few days. Thanks for checking on me. ❤️
@@thenightlystitchersorry to hear about your back and knee😢. Take care of yourself, we will be patiently waiting for our next visit when you are up to it💕💕💕💕💕🪡
I love the long rectangle framed piece of the Blackbird Designs three baskets. The frame looks great! Thanks again for a wonderful video! Happy stitching to all!
Deana: Love your floss tubes, your stitching and quilting is so beautiful and I love that you keep things "real" You were asking for suggestions to take to retreat and so here is my list, some of these I didn't hear you verbalize so not sure if you actually had them in your retreat box. Like some others, I suggest post-it notes and a pen, needle minder, small pin cushion, needle threader, needle case or needle book for extra needles/various sizes. Beeswax if you use that. Have fun!!!
I know that arthritis cramps our style. Love the knitted wash clothes, but I only crochet. I’ll have to look for some patterns. Your quilt is coming along nicely.
I would add post it notes to your retreat box. I love to use them to stick on my pattern to help keep my place on the chart. You can cut them into strips also. They have many uses and I find them very handy.
Happy Anniversary!!! T woulent be a video without that cutie patootie Tootie! Your retreat sewing case is awesome - might want to include an ort catcher. I'm going to stitch Peacock Manor but personalize it to match our house. Have a wonderful week and stay blessed!
Hi Deana .. love watching your videos & catching up with your FFOs, Finishes, WIPS, etc. Like you, I'm always looking for better organization methods too. Love all your tips throughout - keep up the great work! Love & kisses to Tootie. 😊
Did you include Wonder Clips and a seam ripper in your sewing box? You have a nice collection of charts, old and new. I also pack a rubber jar opener thingy for helping with tight screws on the hoops.
No I didn't any although I've had alot of suggestions no one mentioned those. I will be adding them to my box. Thanks and the rubber jar opener is genius!!❤️
Hi, just a note to check in on you. I’ve been missing your floss tube. I hope everything is okay and you’re just out galavanting around. Hope to see you soon.
Thank you for checking on me. I've had some knee and back issues, and right now we have a sick dog with major health issue. I'll be back at flosstube as soon as I can. ❤️
@@thenightlystitcherhank you for an update. I’ve been thinking about you hoping all was okay. I’ll continue to keep you and your dog in my thoughts. I hope you both feel better very soon! You are missed!
I'm behind on my Flosstube viewing too! Finished Blackbird Berry basket piece was wonderful. I thought the frame you found was perfect. See you soon at Stitch Con!
Things to add to your red case for retreat: A bobbin of black floss & a bobbin of white floss (you may not need it, but someone else might !). Needle threader; a small size steel crochet hook; extra needles (tapestry & embroidery & straws). scotch tape (I use to pat off lint); pin cushion(s); a manicure set (a nice variety of small tools). post its (I can't live w/o post its (46 years working in offices). You have rulers, but put a tape measure in there too. Good luck & have fun, fun & more fun. Look forward to the update. Blessings.
Your quilt and chart parade are fantastic! Nice finishing as well. The Blackbird baskets are glorious. Suggestions for your travel case; Advil/preferred pain reliever, a Tweezerman mini, a mending kit, and a small notebook with pen. Enjoy Stitch-con.
I loved the Quaker Gone Tropic pattern and have also started it using variegated Sulky petites. It really requires a lot of thread and I just reordered my threads. I love this piece. I live in Florida and have chosen tropical colors.
Thank you for checking on me. We've been having some health issues. I was having knee and back problems really bad and wasn't getting around very well. I got an injection in my knee the week before we left for stitch con and it's much better. I'm waiting to get an mri on my back so I can get an injection in it. Then the day we were leaving to come home from vac. My husband fell down our camper steps. He is waiting for a shoulder replacement now! Then one of my dogs had dental work on july 12th and has had complications with it. We thought we were going to have to have her put down but we are still fighting and seeing some improvement with her. All of this has just put me into a depression and fighting anxiety. I battle that anyway so I haven't been in the right frame of mind to do a video. I will be back. Just not sure when. I hope you will keep a look out for my next video.❤️
Just checking to see if you’re OK I haven’t seen a video from you in a while. Hope everything is OK and that you were doing well. Take care. Happy Fourth of July.
Thank you for checking on me. I've had some back and knee issues and have been spending time when I'm up and around doing chores around the house. I'm planning on doing a video before too much longer. I'm slow getting it pulled together. ❤️
Hi Deana, I always enjoy your videos. I really like your haircut, very flattering. A suggestion for your Stitch con case is a retractable magnet. I have one for when I drop a needle on the floor it works well in finding and picking it up. Happy Anniversary!! Great finds!! Beautiful Grandmothers flower garden. I just got arthritis in my left thumb, so I couldn't stitch for 3 months until I got a steroid shot. It is still more difficult. Take care of your hands!!! Happy stitching!!
I’m also weekend B at Stitch Con! For your con case, do you have or want something to hold your cut thread bits? I use a glass jar at home, but I’m planning on taking some little empty something to stuff my clippings in so they don’t get everywhere.
Yes, just been having some back and knee issues that limit my time on my feet. So when I feel good I've been spending time playing catch up on things I need to do around the house. I'll be back to floss tube soon. Thanks for checking on me ❤️
You could add kleenex, wipes - not sanitizer, but in case you get your hands dirty or sweaty, one of those stain remover sticks - or I might be the only who spills, and Tylenol/aspirin; do you have business cards?
Hope your feeling better and you need to take care of yourself first. But please know that your missed and we're patiently waiting for your next video. Best wishes always.
Fun to watch, love your version of grandmother’s flower garden! Thanks for sharing!
Loved spending time with you today!! Thank you for sharing your progress on your WIPS!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2023!!

Hi Deana, have fun at the retreat in June. Save some room for all of the new purchases to bring home with you.
Thank you for your stitch jewels! I especially like the red baskets piece by Blackbird. Keep stitching and showing.

The cups and tray are probably from Ten Thousand Villages, maybe there were originally four cups, and when one broke, they donated the set?!
Hi! Have fun at your retreat! Maybe you could include a small notepad to write on in your case. Happy Stitching
