Great video, Deana! I love seeing your FFOs and the progress you make on your WIPs! You are a beautiful stitcher and I love seeing the fabric choices you make!
❤️ to see your wips, progress & charts. You just continue doing what you’re doing, your videos are very enjoyable. I received your hand dyed fabric, so beautiful, great job! I will send you a pic as soon as I finish a pattern on it. Thanks so much. Enjoy spring & all the flowers 💐 🌺 🌸!
I am always so happy when I see you have a new floss tube up. I paused this one before it even started to tell you hello and good to see you. Now, on to the flosstube so I can see what you have been up to.
Just found your channel, and I love your projects. I want to learn more about stitching using a scroll stand. The cardinal point stitch is so gorgeous. Can't wait to go back and watch more of your videos.
I really look forward to your videos. You are my cup of tea. 😉 Have loved seeing all your charts, WIPs and FOs. Your projects are so pretty. Thanks for sharing, so enjoyable.
Hi Deana, lots of good projects on your video today. Glad your eyes are settling down, it takes a little time but you will get there. Had to smile when you showed the wooden sewing box, it's identical to mine. I got it when I was 21, over 50 years ago, and its still in use. Where do the years go! I'm still stitching away on Pandemic, amongst other things, you encouraged me to do it, one stitch at a time, and I love it. Happy stitching.
I really enjoyed some of the older samplers. I have several I have bought at thrift stores really reasonable. I get a couple of new ones but my budget is limited so helps me collect and still buy fabric and fibers.
Nice visit while I was stitching ! Always love seeing what you have picked up at the thrift stores and antique shops ! Love when you show some of your collection of charts . Thanks , Kim ☀️
Thank you for another great video! You are great company while I stitch😊. I really enjoyed the pattern parade of charts.❤ It is fun to see the old ones that still appeal after many years! The stitch you used to close your stitching is called a “ladder stitch”. It is a perfect one for hiding stitches and thread.👍
Lovely spending time with you on this Saturday morning. No sign of sping here...we just got dumped on with over twelve inches. It does look nice all clean. Stitching on a Christmas stocking for my great nephew. A lot of out lining and half stitches with five strands of floss. A long time since I did that. Love all your wips.
I’ve never stitched with more than 4 strands as of yet. What count fabric are you using, if I may ask? I don’t even like stitching with 4, so I’d be getting knots constantly with 5! … lol
I too stitch patterns that have been once favored but are no the must have. In fact I just finished a Dimensions from 1985 - "The First Flowers of Spring" with a day Lily a pansy a daffodil an iris and a tulip.
I started really cross stitching in the 80’s through Creative Circle too! I wasn’t a distributor but went to lots of parties. I had knitted before and did some crewel work but when I started counted cross stitch I was hooked and have never looked back! All your WIPs are really coming along well! Thanks for sharing your “C” container of designs. Some of them are still favorites! See you next time!
I do indeed enjoy seeing your charts and certainly do remember going to creative circle parties (hosted too) and working them. One of them is still on my husband's office walk that says, "Ask God to bless your work. But, don't ask Him to do it " Remember that? Enjoyed your video 🙂
Hi Deana your flower pillow is beautiful as is the Bee drum, lots of lovely stitching projects coming along nicely, great charts,Thankyou for sharing 👍🪡🇳🇿❤️
Surprisingly I never heard of Creative Circle. It's not my age cause I got your beat by a few years. Love seeing Tootie, she's so sweet and affectionate. Please keep doing your chart parade. I've seen charts that I haven't seen before. See you in two!
Thanks Robin! I spent several days sorting my charts into categories. That was quit the process!!! I've had nothing but positive comments on showing my charts so I'm happy everyone is enjoying them.
Loved visiting with you this Saturday morning while stitching and having my coffee. Your projects are so pretty. Can t wait to see your progress on Cardinal points.
Hi Deana, just finished your flosstube😊 Loved it…I stitched the Color of Winter too, loved stitching it.. I’ve ordered Huckleberry Farm by the Blue Flower, I love their patterns. I also ordered 2 of the “year in the woods” the bear & the raccoon for my great grandchildren. My 3 yr old great granddaughter wanted the raccoon 😂😂 My daffodils are almost finished down here but my surprise Lilly’s are about a foot tall. I love the spring flowers. I found 2 new flosstubers that I love! Bonnie on Unfinished Stitches (she started out as Curley Girl Crafter) & The In Hand Stitcher. Have a good week😊
Hi Deanna and Tootie! I really like how you show your antique finds. I remember using a Steem iron and you're right- they are heavy! I have an expanding sewing basket. I love this basket and have had it for 35 years! Have a great week!
Hi Deana! Glad to hear your eye surgery recovery continues to go well. I vote to keep on going through your charts. I enjoy seeing the pictures and I like listening to your stories of where you were when you bought it, why you bought it, etc. I like the progress on the Halloween Hijinx piece. I agree with you about the joy of seeing spring grass and flowers blooming. Too bad my area of Wisconsin got 6 inches of snow on top of our tulips bulbs that were starting to peek out of the ground!
Really enjoyed your chart showcase today! I really liked the one you showed from Owl House Stitching-“House With Cypresses”. I stopped the video and went right to Etsy and bought it along with two others of hers. “House With Fountain” and “Sampler Flowers and Birds #2”. I was not familiar with that designer. You sure enabled me today!
Thank you, I was not familiar with that designer until recently. I bought the tractor trailer with Santa and the train with Santa too. I have to go look at the ones you also bought. Get priced are so reasonable.
Hi Deana. I love the way you finished Flowes in a row. I've been thinking about stitching The Color of Winter as well and seeing how your's is stitching up makes me want to do it even more. Hi Tudie. It's good to see you again as well!
Loved all your shares! I have bearded irises, day lilies too. So glad Spring is here, but can’t wait for the weather to catch up cause it still feels like winter here in Northern California. ⛅️
Hi Deana - thanks for another lovely video. That gold thimble with the ridge around it is usually used in quilting. Because of the "rocking" motion of doing hand quilting, the ridge helps to keep the needle in place. I AM old enough to remember Creative Circle and I still have several of their patterns - some of which are WIP's from way back then!!! Thanks for the memory. Oh good grief - now I'm chanelling Bob Hope!! Vonna Pfeiffer has you tubes that are tutorials on all kinds of finishes including drums, etc. You should check her out. I do enjoy your chart parade. I think you have a good idea to sort by holiday.
Thanks Nicole, I didn't know what the ridge was for so now I know. I've watched vonna's tutorials and she is amazing. I still go back and watch them several times just to refresh my memory.
I really enjoy seeing your chart collection. I remember Creative Circle! I went to several parties during the 1980's and did a lot of long stitch needlework back then. My oldest daughter was born in 1980! I started cross stitching in 1985. A friend and I used to get together at her house every Tuesday night for a break from husbands and children. We decided after about a month of that, that if we didn't do something else besides eat chocolate or cookies, we would gain a ton of weight, so she taught me how to cross stitch instead. 😃
Hi Deana....I also had cataract surgery a few years ago...I got glasses that are clear on top and bifocals on the bottom...I hated taking them on and off...It was like a miracle when I discovered what I was missing...So glad to see you back!
