You could work with other big channelsthat feature content on JDM and other foreign cars, like TFLClassics, Mighty Car Mods, Donut, and maybe even Doug DeMuro. Quite a few over here now in Europe of the S660 they started production in 2015. We got the Beat from New shame we have to import them when they were new.
Appearently the S660 was designed for the body panels to be easy swap and they aren't supposed to provide structure. Honda dealers will swap out the complete body and call it a "S660 Neo Classic". I dream that someone will make Honda Beat panels for the S660 and use the Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act to make US replicas of Honda Beats using an S660 as the base car...
I've tried. Can't even get one newer than 25 years on a ship. If it somehow does manage to get on a ship, you'll lose your money because gov't will just impound forever or destroy it. Unfortunately the only options are raising enough money en masse to lobby gov't into changing the law, or owning property in Canada. On the latter, you're shit out of luck too because a law just went into effect this year banning the purchase of property in CA to non-citizens. 1 more reason to move to Japan xD.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the S660 is in the very rare 'perfect vehicle' category. It's fun, it's exciting, it's a kei and it's a joy machine.
That S660 is just incredibly sexy!! If I was able to import that, I would be set for life. My dream of having a sports car would be just complete, even if on paper its tecnically not a fast sports car, but looks alone and sound, is just awesome enough. I loved how the interior looked and those mats seem to glow, I don't know if its camera trick, but it looks Hot!
100%. Shame they have now stopped production of the S660. But yeah, that's gonna be a classic for years to come. If I had the beans, definitely would import it here to my country. Thanks to your content though, trust me, Kei cars are very popular now. Just a bit expensive, after they have slapped the import charges and customs clearance. Still they are so useful and Cost effective and reliable.
I hope things change. I would love to have a 660 but don't think I will want to wait til I am in my 80's. ☹
