God, there isn't a single variation on that battle theme that I don't love. The exact same tune is in like every Bomberman game, but they always make it sound awesome.

I had this game as a kid. Probably the best thing was playing multiplayer on the Genesis with my brother since we’d pick our favorite Bomberman characters and just go at it for hours with the AI characters turned on for even more fun. I think my favorite character was the wind-up toy Bomberman since for some reason, I just liked him the most.
One thing that I still don't understand is what was the point in changing the music for Jammin'Jungle and Vexin' Volcano in the first place and only those two areas seems pointless and a waste of time if you ask me.
This is 100% proof music programmers had no idea how to write music for the 4-op FM synth in the Mega Drive. It's sounds horrendous! Compare this to the wavetable versions for the original PC Engine version Bomberman 94. th-cam.com/video/gvo0XP4tC-M/w-d-xo.html The Mega Drive was the worse of the era purely because of its soundchip. Even Sonic 1&2, which had some music programmers that were at least half-capable, were beaten by inhouse 8-bit composers for the Game Gear.

A downgrade from the PC Engine original but still very good
hate this version of the soundtrack. all downgrades from '94, and they even decided to scrap the original jungle theme- one of the best in the game.
