This happened to me, I stopped playing when I ran out of BP points for the week and my XP got to the 60% debuff. Seriously Diablo Immortal has some of the stupidest mechanics I have ever dealt with in a modern game.

farm one dungeon, gather points, bank in at the start of the next week, get another week off. basically ou can play this with 10 minutes of game time during the week and 8 hours on the weekend, which is good for a casual gamer and some indie game, but this is a full AAA title full of content, i want to play as much as i want not as much as blizzard tells me to.
@@wakkawagga443 you wish. The moment you reach the weekly cap on BP you no longer gain the BP XP in any content. You would have to stop claiming it before you reach the cap cause you learned from your previous mistake. But surprise surprise, some activities are claimed automatically when you reach the cap without you clicking on the claim button (Bestiary) :)

Paragon system with server paragpn is perfect. Casual players does not have 10hours/day to plat, so situations like in D3 where some are para 10000+ and some 5000 are avoided in this way.
In POE it would remove the whole no-lifing gaming for 30 hours in a row aspect. It's even dangerous to these people. Server paragon sounds like a great thing for 95% of players. And it might be medically/socially good for the remaining 5%.

Now watching your video made me realise something, you creating a new character to play is exactly what Blizz/Activision wanted, you played right into their hands, more individual characters means more chances that people will pay, seeing as every purchase is character based. I agree purchases not being cross character.. at least for the boon/battle pass/prodigy path is bullshit) but.. there being caps is absolutely needed for a game like this.. imagine diablo 3 without seasons and joining today, what would happen.. its a mobile mmo with diablo paragon system, must be limited or no one can compete except people like rax.. who even now has such an advantage with 10+ paragon levels.. imagine if he wasnt limited he would be like 100+ right now.. with 5k cr .. the competitiveness would drain away.. its why diablo games use seasons/ladders.. 5 years from now, someone sees DI on the play store downloads it and everyone is paragon 3000. 0 chance he can ever catch up and compete in pvp or even leaderboards..

But I suggest you watch TenTen, Zajef, Sekapoko and other content creators so you can see that is not necessary at all to put money on that game. People that really are struggling with the abyss is because they haven’t really properly spend their resources, they have skill issue or don’t know properly how to use f2p teams. Heck you can even save primos like crazy if you don’t summon in every banner and go for specific meta units if you feel that OP F2P units like Xiangling, Sucrose, Bennett, Xingqiu, Fischl and others aren’t enough.
This is the future of gaming due to content creators covering it. So many people spent loads of money on this, amazing how companies now deliberately make an inferior product to get more revenue. We needed to stand together from the start and say NO!!! Oh well at least we have Indie developers that make great content.
Well not every content creator is asmongold ,they have to cover up the trend to be able to keep up ,so technically it's still the consumer who's doing this to himself whether by choosing to play the game p2w or f2p , or by watching and consuming it's content .you can't really blame the man for keeping his channel alive ,asmon had way more influence and he tried multiple times to get people to stand up for themselves, he ended up getting negative responses or ignored .

Honestly it depends how much you play. If you play 1-2 hours a day, it will undoubtedly take longer than a week, but if you play 8-10 hours a day, you'll get there much faster, ala "one week"
I was one of the unlucky few to beat Diablo 3 before the crazy nerfs, almost all the bosses were easier than the blue packs. Minion, invincible, extra fast, damage reflect or substitute damage for frost, extra strong, etc). And they had an enrage mechanic that if you couldn't kill the pack in 3 minutes they would stand still if you were on screen with any of them they would instantly drain your life to zero. Quickly just learned to skip them. Game was worth what I paid, but it was absolute trash in terms of story line and replayability.
When I played immortal I was like “ wait a min…. Why would I play this when I have D3 in on my mac …. “ Uninstalled immortal. Then I hopped right in to D3 and have a blast. (The current state of D3 right now is pretty good& I like echoing nightmare event) I bought Overwatch legendary edition just for mercy wings for 19.99$ even though I dont play OW, I just like the wing and it cheaper than playing DI in long term. I’m happy and almost finish D3 s26 and will continue playing it.

Exactly! I had some spare time and really grinded my way to the top, just to realise, I was being punished by doing so... I'm now paragon lvl 28 and don't really want to play, because I feel, it's a waste of time!
Every video I watch on this game...the more it feels just like Marvel Future Revolution. Massive hype, dead in 3-4 months except in the Asian markets where the extreme p2w model isn't minded.
The problems there was that hundreds of krakens had red start rise of east on the first day of the game creating a impossible power gap, this is not the same although I see what you mean bud, if they fix some of the paid mechanics in this game it will be in my opinion, the best game on the mobile market right now.
The only thing left for you to do is swipe that CC for 5 star gems. That’s the whole point of them capping and gating this game so hard. Force you to pay for power.
How can it be that though? The game doesn't actually have hard content that you need that power for. Even if you spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get it, what would you do with all that power? You'd still just have the same dailies to grind and the same Paragon levels to not be able to get. Maybe you could push your CR a few levels higher but you'd quickly hit the same wall you're at currently. If the purpose of gating your progress really was to force you to pay then Blizzard did an awful job of it. As a F2P'er (technically I bought the battle pass yesterday but I got no power out of it I didn't already have access to) I can do the same content that a payer can except for the CR, and I'm just as gated by all the daily gates as a payer as well. Even if I had no problems with paying 2 win, paying in would get me nothing so why should I do it?

One thing I really dislike about the game is that you need to be in a party of at least two people for just about anything, dungeon (hell 1) or whatever in Diablo Immortal. It's absurd, there is no solo gaming experience. I don't care about p2w, I'm not going to spend even 1€ but let me play quietly without having to spend all the time looking for groups. I grinded from 1-50 in one sitting on day1 as f2p then after hitting 60 very soon decided to spent a „a little bit“ once , thinking it would be enough but i was so wrong..so i spent almost 200€ , bought the boon thing, the prodigy path and most bundles , i was so obsessed trying to get the blood jade with my last money i got it actually even tho its only 2 star. So far im paragon 25 with 1200rating only, i have no gems left because i upgraded my 5stars to level2 (other 5 stars i have is a 3 star seeping , 2star echo and thats it) i had 2 bottle of hopes 2-3stars which i ended up using as upgrade mats. This game is stupid the upgrade requirements for gems are absurd they want duplicates of 5stars and the prices are insane without bundles. I dont think ill spend ever money again on this and gonna play f2p from now on. You just burn all that money with trying to upgrade your gems. Same thing happened to me 10years ago by the same company in hearthstone where they release meta cards and take them out of rotation/make them useless. I knew from the beginning its a p2win game but i wouldnt think u need thousands/100k to somewhat be good. I dont have the money for that i thought with 200bucks ill be settled so my advice u guys doing a goodjob dont spend any money on this even if u do get good gems they usually are only 1-3stars and need to be upgraded and at lvl 2 they already want a duplicate. While the game is very fun and addicting its sad to see how much rich people have advantage. Im gonna do my dailys from now on mostly and thats it slowly lvling that prodigys path..i love the mmo aspect of the game but they show no love for free players. Every mmo has at launch giveaways except this one. They should handout atleast 10-20legendary crests for everyone imagine being that greedy when they already one of the most wealthy company. I cant push challenge rifts as a necro past 32/33ish , path of blood 35. the game locks you out hard when you grind hard instead rewarding you, im at -40% xp since launch, im tired of having to fight for the only good farm spot in the game against the whole server. There should be way more farming spots like library its so demotivating, especially because i already did hundreds of dungeon runs, got most sets. The game wants me to grind to paragon 30 so i can upgrade my armor again but it maybe boosts your rating only up by 10-30. i still dont think a f2p player can get to 2000rating, the game really wants you to spend atleast 1k which im not a fan of. Oh and the game doesnt even really tell you that you get increased 5star dropchance if you put in 10 crests at once, so i did a bad mistake of putting them in one by one (most of them) paired with 2 rare crests which was probably a mistake. Once i started to put in 10 at once on my last 20crests i got like two seepings. And 10 crests as a f2p is impossible to get let alone even one. I dont think me or any f2p player can get to hell3. I tried farming library in hell2 yesterday which barely worked even though i could get oneshot if getting close, but thats all. Why are all the raids behind such a paywall? I just dont get it. Sure its a time progression game where they want us to slowly progress CR over the years, but there is no real progression because gems+resonance make up most of combat rating. Anyways hope you all still have a good time with the game and dont get tricked like me
that is exactly the plan blizz has - easy progression early to lure people / whales in - then make them addicted and hit them with paywalls and heavy frustrating grind in the late game when they are already invested. and here you also see the typical "whale" that is not rich at all, like these gaming companies claim to make it sound like they take from the "rich" and give to the "poor" game developers, because "they need the money". in reality the "whales" are similar to gambling addicts in casinos that get easily hooked can not see through the system that is designed to drain their pockets.

i think this design was formulated to appeal to players using mobile devices who have limited time to play. it is not designed to be a replacement for d3 or d4. the server para level buff, weekly dungeon buff rotation and daily quests would allow a player to progress without having to play the game full time. they could have a full time real life job and spend $ on it, which is the whole idea.
CTRL+SCROLL in Paint you can zoom in and have more room to work with, plus when you zoom out it looks better too AND you can use fat brushes. Cmon man Paragon them Paint skillz homebwoy!
Not sure if its true or not,but set items belt and boots hell 1..amulet and gloves hell 2..and rings hell 4 in certain dungeons if so another way to stop people progressing

I think the point is End Game content...you're inhibited in End Game unless you pay...and by that point, you've already spent $$ or hours getting there. So whats the point in getting there/continuing.

The only thing they can do is the gems but after a point that’s futile because they are capped too. Truth is content creators are playing this game like it’s not a phone game. Immortal is conceived differently and in no way can it be compared to other Diablo sequels. Which are still being updated with upgrades. Immortal is not over, it has just started while everything is still in order, it will come to its own.
it`s even better than that. you gring a dungeon till you have 2400 of those battle pass points. the new week starts, you cash them in at once, gain 10 levels and you can wait another week. and reaching those 2400 points is around 8-10 hours of playtime of elder rifts for me. you can do dungeons if you want to, just stick to one.

I basically did the same thing this week. Was P23 when server was P16, I had maxed out my weekly BPs, and just thought to myself ... this is pointless to grind. I'll just stack my bounties and hold onto my quests until BP reset in 3 days and crush paragon levels.

Guys this is weird but it is not the worse thing. Used to be like that in diablo 2. You get to around lvl 80 and leveling took so long you just go back and create a new character to start a new build and see what it is like. Not that bad of a thing. Don't waste your time if you can't get any xp do something for fun.

hello Rax , I have to say it is impressiv what you have done . We all have to realise something. You (we) have been playing this game like a Diablo but in reality this is not build to be play that way. It has been truly build like a mobile gatcha game where the most power come from legendary gems which you have to pay for , not play. Yes it is sad but if you want to carry playing this game you have to change your vision of the game. The things that as stop me to play is the difference between eternal legendary crest (which you have to pay and will be able to sell loot in auction ) and regulare legendary crest . Meaning that even f2P or small spender will never be able to have fun , game cap everywhere excepte shop very frustrating , better get a job work 8H spend 4H work in the game to be stronger than a guy that play 20H a day ^^ Anyway been loving you content and way to explain everything good look

Where do you farm your legendaries from? I'm playing dh and hit 60 night before last. Been running elder rifts and the two dungeons you said were useless for dh. I'm not getting many legendaries at all from elder rifts.
One thing I have learned is you have to play around the catchup mechanics in blizz games. Case in point I have 17 max level toons in wow and to get each of them through the convent grind would have taken 1000's of hours or play time. I knew how the catch up mechanics would work so I just waited and eventually blizz just gave me free level 60 on each one just for logging in. as a famous man once said. "You’ve got to know when to hold ’em Know when to fold ’em Know when to walk away And know when to run"
well, the trap is staying with the game all the time. WoW doesnt offer much content per season. its basically worth of 3 to 4 months at most. Catchup is relevant and good, but its better to stay offline for 2 months and start to catchup tierset. their current tier system is flawed and unfair, at least for first 8 weeks. you got borrowed powers? big dick dps. you dont have tier set? have fun signing up and getting declined. keep in mind that was state for the first two months of the season and the current catchup is not even close to the bad state it was.

I play wow on an Expansion level and only at the very beginning and the very end and I don't PVP so none of the season nonsense or battle pass stuff. I'm 45 and have seen the entire history of video games and once they became a mass market thing the die was cast to turn them into predatorily made bs scams. That's where blizz has decided to go because making good games takes a back seat to making profitable games even if that means becoming a company known for making scams. Nothing matters but the next shareholder meeting.

3 Server paragon each day would be nice or +10 Sever paragon on weekly reset. At this rate we have players afk farming xp in library and of course can't click on them to report them either which is a huge issue.
Nothing wrong with the model, I think this is very good for Diablo cause we get bored way too easy in Diablo but as a MMO it might be different. I mean dungeons 2 different rifts bounty`s and alot more. as a decade old D3 player I think this might save it but I have no hope for blizz anymore, I dont see them coming back from this no matter what they do. Blizz disgusting ways is the problem not the model

Yeah the game is made so you have to play everyday but just a little. If you play too much on a short time => capped If you skipp too many days you will loose rewards because you can't catch up due to caps. That's not how i see a hak'n'slash should be enjoyed.
I definitely did, and a lot of time at that. But most of the “end game” content in this game is Shadow/Immortal PvP and competitions. I had fun for free for 20+h, but that fun was partly due to me wanting to become stronger.

As it stands I'm only level 47 in the game, I work a lot and play other games. I can honestly say I enjoy this game flaws and all. I think diablo on the phone is really fun. Oddly I feel like people who play games and make videos/stream for a living are the most miserable.
just do the daily log in, first kill of the day, claim elder crest. day/s with free time quests, dungeons, bounties, whatever... Feels like developers have turned gaming from a fun pastime to a chore
@@jasonmullinder I'm honestly a fan of some diminishing returns or first 2 hour bonus or whatever but right now it really is a chore. I don't care for most dailies because the game becomes a chore between content drops and who needs more chores.
while im not sadistic enough to hit 30 with the current server paragon level I'm finding myself with nothing to do because of the amount of caps that are stopping me from actually playing and advancing in the game.
I just got to the 7th paragon since the game launched ( casual player) ...this game is not for Heavy Grinders Like RaX or Wudijo or MrLlama and others playing 15h a day 7 days a week ...this is great game for Casual players, I personally enjoy it!

The Blizzard era is long gone, at this point we're just waiting for other game companies to make better games in the genres they cover and then Blizzard will no longer be relevant. PoE is a great ARPG but saying it can be overwhelming for a new player is an understatement. HoTS was pretty much dead on arrival since their goal was to compete against DOTA and LOL. Overwatch was killed by bad game decisions and not addressing power creep until it was too late, plus Valorant is a more competitive and balanced version of Overwatch. FFXIV has been beating WoW in both popularity and PR. Even with the latest controversy it's nothing compared to things WoW has done recently. And Warcraft 3 Reforged showed Blizzard doesn't care about RTSs. Luckily the developers of StarCraft 2 left the company after SC2 went F2P to create their own studio, Frost Giant, to create the spiritual successor to SC2. Their mission is not only to keep the FPS genre alive but to modernize it for a new audience without alienating the old.

I've seen a ton of videos since launch exposing the p2w that killed my spirit a little bit. But I understand whales will always exist, even if there is no direct P2W system (see d2jsp... actually, now that I'm thinking about it blizz just built their own d2jsp... anyways). However, this video is it for me playing immortal and I'm not even excited for D4 anymore. Although immortal was fun to just play through for 3 days end-end casually as a free to play on my phone.

What I don’t get is when gambling exists in a game for money but I can’t win money it’s not gambling. But if a can make money and the company can make money then it’s gambling. The system is always here to exploit the common person. This really annoys me because sports book isn’t legal in my state.
Mam this sounds so similar to Genshin Impact. Where there's nothing left for the player to do except to wait for a new character, buy primogems and risk a 50/50 pull if you're lucky to get that new character. If you do, you're next problem is your resources to build that character, which requires another payment.

Its.. it's a cellphone game... it's not a modern game.
There are also nice little hidden caps in the game. Like doing something more then 5x a day strait up just locks you out of rewards apparently.

I agree purchases not being cross character.. at least for the boon/battle pass/prodigy path is bullshit) but.. there being caps is absolutely needed for a game like this.. imagine diablo 3 without seasons and joining today, what would happen.. its a mobile mmo with diablo paragon system, must be limited or no one can compete except people like rax.. who even now has such an advantage with 10+ paragon levels.. imagine if he wasnt limited he would be like 100+ right now.. with 5k cr .. the competitiveness would drain away.. its why diablo games use seasons/ladders.. 5 years from now, someone sees DI on the play store downloads it and everyone is paragon 3000. 0 chance he can ever catch up and compete in pvp or even leaderboards..

Heck you can even save primos like crazy if you don’t summon in every banner and go for specific meta units if you feel that OP F2P units like Xiangling, Sucrose, Bennett, Xingqiu, Fischl and others aren’t enough.

Well not every content creator is asmongold ,they have to cover up the trend to be able to keep up ,so technically it's still the consumer who's doing this to himself whether by choosing to play the game p2w or f2p , or by watching and consuming it's content .you can't really blame the man for keeping his channel alive ,asmon had way more influence and he tried multiple times to get people to stand up for themselves, he ended up getting negative responses or ignored .

Honestly it depends how much you play. If you play 1-2 hours a day, it will undoubtedly take longer than a week, but if you play 8-10 hours a day, you'll get there much faster, ala "one week"

I was one of the unlucky few to beat Diablo 3 before the crazy nerfs, almost all the bosses were easier than the blue packs.
Minion, invincible, extra fast, damage reflect or substitute damage for frost, extra strong, etc).
And they had an enrage mechanic that if you couldn't kill the pack in 3 minutes they would stand still if you were on screen with any of them they would instantly drain your life to zero.
Quickly just learned to skip them.
Game was worth what I paid, but it was absolute trash in terms of story line and replayability.

I bought Overwatch legendary edition just for mercy wings for 19.99$ even though I dont play OW, I just like the wing and it cheaper than playing DI in long term. I’m happy and almost finish D3 s26 and will continue playing it.

Every video I watch on this game...the more it feels just like Marvel Future Revolution. Massive hype, dead in 3-4 months except in the Asian markets where the extreme p2w model isn't minded.
The problems there was that hundreds of krakens had red start rise of east on the first day of the game creating a impossible power gap, this is not the same although I see what you mean bud, if they fix some of the paid mechanics in this game it will be in my opinion, the best game on the mobile market right now.

How can it be that though? The game doesn't actually have hard content that you need that power for. Even if you spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get it, what would you do with all that power? You'd still just have the same dailies to grind and the same Paragon levels to not be able to get. Maybe you could push your CR a few levels higher but you'd quickly hit the same wall you're at currently.
If the purpose of gating your progress really was to force you to pay then Blizzard did an awful job of it. As a F2P'er (technically I bought the battle pass yesterday but I got no power out of it I didn't already have access to) I can do the same content that a payer can except for the CR, and I'm just as gated by all the daily gates as a payer as well. Even if I had no problems with paying 2 win, paying in would get me nothing so why should I do it?

One thing I really dislike about the game is that you need to be in a party of at least two people for just about anything, dungeon (hell 1) or whatever in Diablo Immortal. It's absurd, there is no solo gaming experience. I don't care about p2w, I'm not going to spend even 1€ but let me play quietly without having to spend all the time looking for groups. I grinded from 1-50 in one sitting on day1 as f2p then after hitting 60 very soon decided to spent a „a little bit“ once , thinking it would be enough but i was so wrong..so i spent almost 200€ , bought the boon thing, the prodigy path and most bundles , i was so obsessed trying to get the blood jade with my last money i got it actually even tho its only 2 star. So far im paragon 25 with 1200rating only, i have no gems left because i upgraded my 5stars to level2 (other 5 stars i have is a 3 star seeping , 2star echo and thats it) i had 2 bottle of hopes 2-3stars which i ended up using as upgrade mats. This game is stupid the upgrade requirements for gems are absurd they want duplicates of 5stars and the prices are insane without bundles. I dont think ill spend ever money again on this and gonna play f2p from now on. You just burn all that money with trying to upgrade your gems. Same thing happened to me 10years ago by the same company in hearthstone where they release meta cards and take them out of rotation/make them useless. I knew from the beginning its a p2win game but i wouldnt think u need thousands/100k to somewhat be good. I dont have the money for that i thought with 200bucks ill be settled so my advice u guys doing a goodjob dont spend any money on this even if u do get good gems they usually are only 1-3stars and need to be upgraded and at lvl 2 they already want a duplicate. While the game is very fun and addicting its sad to see how much rich people have advantage. Im gonna do my dailys from now on mostly and thats it slowly lvling that prodigys path..i love the mmo aspect of the game but they show no love for free players. Every mmo has at launch giveaways except this one. They should handout atleast 10-20legendary crests for everyone imagine being that greedy when they already one of the most wealthy company. I cant push challenge rifts as a necro past 32/33ish , path of blood 35. the game locks you out hard when you grind hard instead rewarding you, im at -40% xp since launch, im tired of having to fight for the only good farm spot in the game against the whole server. There should be way more farming spots like library its so demotivating, especially because i already did hundreds of dungeon runs, got most sets. The game wants me to grind to paragon 30 so i can upgrade my armor again but it maybe boosts your rating only up by 10-30. i still dont think a f2p player can get to 2000rating, the game really wants you to spend atleast 1k which im not a fan of. Oh and the game doesnt even really tell you that you get increased 5star dropchance if you put in 10 crests at once, so i did a bad mistake of putting them in one by one (most of them) paired with 2 rare crests which was probably a mistake. Once i started to put in 10 at once on my last 20crests i got like two seepings. And 10 crests as a f2p is impossible to get let alone even one. I dont think me or any f2p player can get to hell3. I tried farming library in hell2 yesterday which barely worked even though i could get oneshot if getting close, but thats all. Why are all the raids behind such a paywall? I just dont get it. Sure its a time progression game where they want us to slowly progress CR over the years, but there is no real progression because gems+resonance make up most of combat rating. Anyways hope you all still have a good time with the game and dont get tricked like me
that is exactly the plan blizz has - easy progression early to lure people / whales in - then make them addicted and hit them with paywalls and heavy frustrating grind in the late game when they are already invested. and here you also see the typical "whale" that is not rich at all, like these gaming companies claim to make it sound like they take from the "rich" and give to the "poor" game developers, because "they need the money". in reality the "whales" are similar to gambling addicts in casinos that get easily hooked can not see through the system that is designed to drain their pockets.

i think this design was formulated to appeal to players using mobile devices who have limited time to play. it is not designed to be a replacement for d3 or d4. the server para level buff, weekly dungeon buff rotation and daily quests would allow a player to progress without having to play the game full time. they could have a full time real life job and spend $ on it, which is the whole idea.

Immortal is conceived differently and in no way can it be compared to other Diablo sequels. Which are still being updated with upgrades. Immortal is not over, it has just started while everything is still in order, it will come to its own.
it`s even better than that. you gring a dungeon till you have 2400 of those battle pass points. the new week starts, you cash them in at once, gain 10 levels and you can wait another week. and reaching those 2400 points is around 8-10 hours of playtime of elder rifts for me. you can do dungeons if you want to, just stick to one.

I basically did the same thing this week. Was P23 when server was P16, I had maxed out my weekly BPs, and just thought to myself ... this is pointless to grind. I'll just stack my bounties and hold onto my quests until BP reset in 3 days and crush paragon levels.

Guys this is weird but it is not the worse thing. Used to be like that in diablo 2. You get to around lvl 80 and leveling took so long you just go back and create a new character to start a new build and see what it is like. Not that bad of a thing. Don't waste your time if you can't get any xp do something for fun.

I have to say it is impressiv what you have done . We all have to realise something. You (we) have been playing this game like a Diablo but in reality this is not build to be play that way. It has been truly build like a mobile gatcha game where the most power come from legendary gems which you have to pay for , not play. Yes it is sad but if you want to carry playing this game you have to change your vision of the game.
The things that as stop me to play is the difference between eternal legendary crest (which you have to pay and will be able to sell loot in auction ) and regulare legendary crest .
Meaning that even f2P or small spender will never be able to have fun , game cap everywhere excepte shop very frustrating , better get a job work 8H spend 4H work in the game to be stronger than a guy that play 20H a day ^^

Where do you farm your legendaries from? I'm playing dh and hit 60 night before last. Been running elder rifts and the two dungeons you said were useless for dh. I'm not getting many legendaries at all from elder rifts.
One thing I have learned is you have to play around the catchup mechanics in blizz games. Case in point I have 17 max level toons in wow and to get each of them through the convent grind would have taken 1000's of hours or play time. I knew how the catch up mechanics would work so I just waited and eventually blizz just gave me free level 60 on each one just for logging in. as a famous man once said.

well, the trap is staying with the game all the time. WoW doesnt offer much content per season. its basically worth of 3 to 4 months at most. Catchup is relevant and good, but its better to stay offline for 2 months and start to catchup tierset. their current tier system is flawed and unfair, at least for first 8 weeks. you got borrowed powers? big dick dps. you dont have tier set? have fun signing up and getting declined. keep in mind that was state for the first two months of the season and the current catchup is not even close to the bad state it was.

I play wow on an Expansion level and only at the very beginning and the very end and I don't PVP so none of the season nonsense or battle pass stuff. I'm 45 and have seen the entire history of video games and once they became a mass market thing the die was cast to turn them into predatorily made bs scams. That's where blizz has decided to go because making good games takes a back seat to making profitable games even if that means becoming a company known for making scams. Nothing matters but the next shareholder meeting.
I understand the disappointment, and I even understand how D:I is unfortunately monetized in many ways. However, this ultimately boils down to the same complaint we see in almost any game imaginable. "I've no-lifed the game and now I have nothing to do. Ded game/Stupid Devs/Content Drought!!!!!1"
3 Server paragon each day would be nice or +10 Sever paragon on weekly reset. At this rate we have players afk farming xp in library and of course can't click on them to report them either which is a huge issue.

But most of the “end game” content in this game is Shadow/Immortal PvP and competitions.
I had fun for free for 20+h, but that fun was partly due to me wanting to become stronger.
Keep the game p2w, I really don’t care to compete at the top top level. But still give the f2p (or one time payment players) a chance!

As it stands I'm only level 47 in the game, I work a lot and play other games. I can honestly say I enjoy this game flaws and all. I think diablo on the phone is really fun. Oddly I feel like people who play games and make videos/stream for a living are the most miserable.

The Blizzard era is long gone, at this point we're just waiting for other game companies to make better games in the genres they cover and then Blizzard will no longer be relevant. PoE is a great ARPG but saying it can be overwhelming for a new player is an understatement.
HoTS was pretty much dead on arrival since their goal was to compete against DOTA and LOL.

And Warcraft 3 Reforged showed Blizzard doesn't care about RTSs. Luckily the developers of StarCraft 2 left the company after SC2 went F2P to create their own studio, Frost Giant, to create the spiritual successor to SC2. Their mission is not only to keep the FPS genre alive but to modernize it for a new audience without alienating the old.

I've seen a ton of videos since launch exposing the p2w that killed my spirit a little bit. But I understand whales will always exist, even if there is no direct P2W system (see d2jsp... actually, now that I'm thinking about it blizz just built their own d2jsp... anyways). However, this video is it for me playing immortal and I'm not even excited for D4 anymore. Although immortal was fun to just play through for 3 days end-end casually as a free to play on my phone.

What I don’t get is when gambling exists in a game for money but I can’t win money it’s not gambling. But if a can make money and the company can make money then it’s gambling. The system is always here to exploit the common person. This really annoys me because sports book isn’t legal in my state.

I do see the server paragon lvl as a way to stop bots tho oh your account has been running for 24hrs /day for 3 weeks you get 0.5% exp/kill
Mam this sounds so similar to Genshin Impact. Where there's nothing left for the player to do except to wait for a new character, buy primogems and risk a 50/50 pull if you're lucky to get that new character. If you do, you're next problem is your resources to build that character, which requires another payment.
