    This is actual a really nice reverb for ppl that want to do more than just use presets.
    I own the $600 Lexicon PCM reverb package. It's been my go to reverb for a long time. But I mainly start with a preset on it and adjust the pre-delay to suit. It's a pretty complicated reverb for amateur to even semi-pro producers if u tryin look at its advanced parameters.
    With H-Reverb I find myself never using the presets. The parameters are very easy to understand. I just start with setting the early reflections like I want them and then progress to the tail and modulation do. So easy. I just use my ears.
    And it sounds surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to work as well as it does. Especially compared to the Lexicon.

    Anyone knows how to reset a single value or a section like Yoad did in this video? I have searched in the manual but couldn´t find anything about it. Might have missed it.

    Question is...have reverb on every track in your mix or one single reverb plugin at the main output/master track? is there a right or wrong? #wavesaudio

    • @HermanvanGelder
      @HermanvanGelder 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your rigs processing power used to be a real bottleneck. And reverb calculation takes lots of cpu. A classic method is to put it as a send FX end feed a signal into it from your tracks. Creates cohesion. But you can place them on individual tracks in order to place sounds in their desireable place.
      Short answer: the end justifies the means.

  • @luiza177music
    @luiza177music 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Reminds me of 2cAudio's B2, only with a far more intuitive interface, and maybe not as smooth sounding.

    • @luiza177music
      @luiza177music 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure (hence why I said 'maybe'), I've no doubt this is a great plugin. I'll likely get it someday.

    • @RockmannMusic
      @RockmannMusic 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not want your monitors or your ears.
      Aether and B2 do sound small, artificial and cheap.
      The H-Reverb offers a world class reverb sound. I'm strict about the quality of my tools and the Waves will be my first reverb purchase after I've bought the Relab LX480 2 1/2 years ago. luiza177music

    This plugin sounds great, but not $200 great. That's a little overpriced, don't you think? Logic Pro X is $200, and it has built in reverb that does these same effects.

    • @jrhager84
      @jrhager84 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HellaBeats If 200 dollars is a lot for you, then you're not the market they're going after. Just saying.

    • @HellaBeatsOfficial
      @HellaBeatsOfficial 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jrhager84 Well i'm 14, so I don't get paid very often, and I'm definitely not spending the little money I get all on one plugin with only one function. Don't get me wrong, it's still an awesome plugin. But i'd personally only pay around $25 - $50 for it.

    • @vivalasexy
      @vivalasexy 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    How come this reverb does not have decay time?

    • @waves
      @waves  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Reverb Time control sets the duration of the reverb decay envelope, i.e., the time it takes the reverb to decay by 120 dB. The decay is linear until the reverb envelope is changed by the related advanced controls X-Time and X-Gain.

    Maybe it's just me but H-Reverb sounds about as unnatural and plastic-y as a reverb can sound. He describes it as 'sandy', and I'd say he's right.

    • @Byronic19134
      @Byronic19134 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes bro its just you and id suggest changing ur monitoring set up or something because this is one of the best sounding reverbs ever made, hardware or software, period.
      And he never said H Reverb sounds plasticity and he said the boosting the high end above 15k of early reflections make reverbs sound sandy and thats true of every single reverb every made which is why most are band limited to around 11k like Vahallas and Lexicons. Part of the reason is because in nature high frequencies decay faster so its unnatural to extend it.

    • @RDYC
      @RDYC 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it sounds great, but it sound as fake as all reverbs except the convolution reverbs. No real spaces sound like this.

    • @Jason75913
      @Jason75913 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RDYC this may come as a shock to you, but most folks don't want realistic-sounding reverbs, that's why most of the most popular reverbs, VST or hardware, don't do that - but there's juuust enough of folks who do want realistic reverbs that a little handful of companies out there provide some badass realistic reverbs, yes
