Thank you so much for this video! I love the comparison between the brushed area witht eh right technique and the wrong one. Also, the zoom in really helped. Plus the explnation why the scissoing looks different. Haha - the dog really does look relaxed. And also your firn hand on the dog helped I am sure.
Thank you. My poodle is going through coat change. The mats are stupendous where his puppy coat is still present. I dream of being able to line brush him properly!
Good luck with coat change - we hope you're through it now! We do have some courses that can help, such as: www.leadingedgedogshowacademy.com/p/coat-change-shedding-weather
This is such a great tutorial. We have to do this for our four chows, it's a lot of work, but worth it. What is the brushing spray you are using? I would love any content you could create on grooming chow chows.
The Brushing Spray was Just Divine by Chris Christensen but you would want to use Bottoms Up. Our downloadable for today has a list of brushing sprays: www.leadingedgedogshowacademy.com/courses/free-tutorial-friday/lectures/52841277
Fantastic instructions, I enrolled in your monthly subscription, absolutely love it! I have 4 great PYRS, 3 are showing & blowing, any suggestions or is there an online video you did for teaching dogs to stay laying down for line brushing? Got the great PYR curated shop list and ordered what i was missing. PAWSZZ UP
Thank you! I had no idea you were not supposed to brush a standard poodle dry. If you are brushing your dog daily are you spraying them daily? Thank you for the tutorial. It was very helpful.
Nice tutorial. I usually spritz a whole area like the entire shoulder instead of stopping to do it every line. In your explanation though it seems that the more the hair is moistened closer to the skin, the more volume is achieved and perhaps the longer it lasts, is that correct?
What a well-behaved girl! Thanks for posting this.
Look how the dog enjoy it😀😀

It was so cute how the poodle decided you were done brushing her so you needed to give belly rubs 😂
Also ... Helpful video! Thank you!
She's pretty demanding when it comes to belly rubs! 😆🥰
How often do you line comb?
Thank you very much Allison.
Thank you for watching!

Yes, always spraying even daily - at shows, we use brushing spray multiple times a day! Remember it's just a mist, not saturating the coat.
Great info - thank you
Glad it was helpful!

Can we please have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi full grooming especially for showing including grooming of the feet.
Would you use the same process for bearded collie 🤔
Yes! Watch our Drop Coat tutorial too, but it's the same method: th-cam.com/video/_JqgcdbWmhE/w-d-xo.html
You hit that dog on the nose😢.
